That design looks familiar though. I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just crazy.

I like the design and coloring, but the letters could use lines that are a bit smoother.

Ya I was looking at that. The gradient made it stand out more then it did when I had a different color. I was using the pathing tool and it wouldn't make the lines straight. Prolly gonna have to just use the pencil+shift

I'm amazed that excepting a small period of time when I was Korus Zhett, I haven't changed my avatar or signature since like, 2006, when I joined. Razz

Hm, I like the little blue/red divided M.

The sharpness of the troopers (particularly the front one) seems a bit high. Not sure if that's deliberate or not. If it's not, a very slight blur (or a slightly blurred layer of the troopers place on top of the current one with like 50% opacity) would probably look nice.

The text blends in to create an underplayed effect but remains readable once you actually are looking at the text - so kudos for that.

The only compositional change I might make is to have the visors of the troopers either be nearly pure black (to reflect the background behind them) - or match the color of the star explosion thing to their left.

I like that one a lot! Very Happy

Colorshifted (obviously shoddily done since I don't have your layers) looks pretty good too. But I think the blues work better since it mirrors your M.

Ya I agree that the Black/blue looks the best.

Ya when I switched the visor to orange the M just didn't look right.

It's actually a bit difficult to judge - seeing them side by side.
I like the darkened visor much better looking at the troopers on their own.
But the overly bright visors plays off the M much more.

Perhaps the answer would be to slightly brighten the visors of the background troopers - so they seem more in line with the front trooper.

But, of course, this is just my perfectionist side coming through - it looks great as it is now.

I tried that and it just looked to POP out to me. Although I didn't mess with the brightness and contrast levels that much with it.

Hm, it'd actually be the levels I'd mess with:
