Loren blinked back tears, suddenly leaving Belle's side and dashing as fast as she could to the fallen. She slide across the ground, falling to her knees at Holdens side. Tears were in her eyes and she leaned over him, letting those tears twist down on the earth. As Loren's tears hit the earth, where the dropplets had fallen, a vine sprouted. The vine was lush and green and beautiful as it grew and once the vines reached the size of the trees it began to wrap around the trees and wrestle them to the ground until there was nothing left but the beautiful vines and the broken comrads.
Silence fell over all, and Lucy rose slowly, staring at Loren with wide, childlike eyes. _________________ "If you take [a copy of] the Christian Bible and put it out in the wind and the rain, soon the paper on which the words are printed will disintegrate and the words will be gone.
