I think that's probably a good idea.
You're obviously the most able to deal with anything Post-8 ABY, so feel free to start on that anytime you wish. I see you've already added Jewel 3 to this one --- that's probably the style we should adopt for the redone timeline. Place the name and a link to canon roleplays/fanfiction when they occur, followed by a brief description of it (1 to 3 sentences).
For fanfiction (or roleplays, I suppose) that spans multiple years, anything that would be considered a "major event" would be stated, followed by the abbreviation of that story. And a link to the actual post would be ideal.
Major events in the "real" expanded universe timeline would only be mentioned if they related to something in our own events (or are something definitely important - such as the date's of the Empire's rise and fall) and would be linked to Wookieepedia.

The Battle of Bakura is worth mentioning only because Lies of Bakura uses it as background material as well as Destiny Eclipse.
The forest hasn't been assigned a name, as far as I know, but Feleah makes sense since, according to this timeline, the Bakuran Temple was founded by a few Force Sensitives after finding the holocrons of "Feleah and Golte". So I think it would make logical sense for the founders to name the forest after one of them.
I also think we should separate it into two separate timelines. One of "Events" and one of "Characters" (containing births, deaths, and affiliation changes of individual characters). I think that'd go a looooong way to clearing up the clutter.
