Haha, maybe I should make some sort of flash animation explaining the whole thing once I have the rest of the system hammered out.

Things that still need development:

1. The big one: A structured instruction guide on how to play, rather than this preview of the entire system.
2. The other big one: Abillities. How Force Lightning, Choke, Speed, Push, Pull, Throw, Absorb, Protection, Sense, Mind Trick, etc etc etc affect combat.
3. How to handle non-Jedi classes in combat
4. How to handle items: Armor/Robes mostly.
5. How to handle custom weapons
6. Enviromental effects (How being outside in an open field works versus say... Underwater Razz )

So all in all, yes. This will be a very complex system, but that's really what it's supposed to be. It's a full seperate game for your characters.

The abillities guide will hopefully give some people ideas on how to use their force powers in regular roleplays though. Not all Force Lightnings are equal Very Happy

While I thought it was a good idea Rive it lacked simplicity. Ignorance is Bliss. I did like the pictures tho Laughing Laughing Laughing . I think it should be done like this. Hope you don't mind if I try this Rive Very Happy

Everyone gets to do 3 things in 1 post. This can be 1 turn of talking, 1 of lightsaber dueling and 1 of moving around the RP whatever the RP'er deems fit for the situation, it can even be 1 turn of dancing for no reason. Or it could be all 3 of saber dueling making it more detailed.You can't go overboard and keep attacking and keep talking all in one post. Keep it simple like Lanik does. Like say someone uses only 1 for saber dueling and 1 for talking it would be like this.

While I like to see the jedi win in every RP it isnt right. The sith deserve to win too. When in 1 RP i think it was Tyler that had like over 10 droids on him he was able to defeat them all easily. This isn't the case. While its easy to deflect 1 shower of blaster bolts multiple enemies CAN kill you. 10 Blaster Rifles means dead jedi so don't go overboard with alot of blocking and deflecting and then slashing the droids to death. Luke even said that he couldn't take on like 6 people because it would be too much blaster fire to deflect. I mean look at the movies most of the jedi die because they can't deflect all the fire the clone troopers are blasting out. I'm not saying Jedi die automatically I'm saying be creative and do what they do in the movies. They jump and dodge blaster bolts not just deflect them. So when faced with more than atleast 6 opponents and you try to battle them don't be stupid about it and say

So when it comes to blaster fights be creative and know when to run. On to Lightsaber vs. Lightsaber fighting. Everyone has 3 points.Very Happy If in the event you lose your 3 points you will be open for the final blow which will be decided on the RP'er. The final blow can be say if the Sith wanted to finish you off will be the killing blow or if the Jedi wanted to disarm the opponent or slice off just his weapon hand. The loss of the 3 points will be decided at a later date that me and Rive can talk on if he likes my system Razz .

So What do you guys think of MY system?

Well I mean to do it so its outta the way. The way you lose those 3 points is hidden in the RP so its not like

I want it to be in those words but not pointed out. Like let me give ya an example of what I think it should be.

Right there you would have taken 1 point. If there was more jedi and sith playing you would lose points more quickly. This is to prevent a sith from jumping into a herd of jedi and defeating them all. So its basically in 3 posts you finish them off. And no spam posting. Wait atleast 5 minutes in between your post if they haven't posted and if they have went to bed or notified you of them leaving break off the fight somehow to prevent the person from getting an easy kill. So basically 3 posts later your open for the finisher if the said Jedi/Sith hasn't fled. Of course I could extend the points to like 5 or 6 to make the duels longer. Also certain actions will take away more points than others. Or of course we can just go with the flow.

Apologies for the late replies.

Revan: Whilest the "Restrain yourself" system is indeed an important point for normal roleplaying. That's not what this was meant to be.
This was meant to be an entirely seperate system with strategy, tactics, unique character templates, and suprising turns in the game.

The project is temporarily on hold until such time as enough "Older" members have joined that I believe could understand and utilize the completed system.

As it stands a slightly modified system has been produced and is being used fairly successfully on a Firefly roleplaying board mostly for pistol duels. The problems found in that system will help me make the later versions of this one if ever deemed ready.

Minious: I'm not making you do anything. As I've said countless times. Do what you want. In the future some people may want a complex tactical battle system like this.

Until then: The Firefly board is enjoying it Smile
