Xjrz flew into Coruscant's sky only for a short while when he noticed a sleek, state of the art Sith fighter plummeting towards the surface at an alarming rate ahead of the others. He felt a great, great disturbance in the Force as he saw it descend. He sped over to engage the fighter, before its pilot reached the surface.

Xjrz shot a barrage of shots at the fighter, one or two grazing it, he couldn't tell exactly, but the unknown pilot was ready for him, immediately returning a volley of fire in Xjrz's direction. Xjrz gave his A-wing a boost of speed, avoiding the laser fire altogether, and quickly turning the ship around for another pass at his opponent. He fired a few shots, again grazing the Sith's vessel. He could sense his foe's frustration through the Force, a frustration that was oddly familiar, he simply couldn't pin it down, but now was not the time to worry about such things. The sith came around a fired again, this time landing a hit on Xjrz's A-wing, but causing no major damage. Xjrz spun his ship around, at the same time his adversary did, and they charged their ships at one another, spraying fire as they did so.

Acheron's attention was snatched by an eager craft attacking his Apprentice's craft. This craft... it seemed to have come from the surface, and may possibly house a Jedi. Stretching out with the Force, Acheron felt a determined, yet peaceful presence within the cockpit.

"Apprentice, that A-Wing is piloted by a Jedi. Demonstrate your disgust in their teachings by destroying this contemptible pilot before we reach the Temple," Acheron said carelessly, as Omega Squadron helped protect him from a swarm of fighters following them down to the planet, desperate to prevent an invasion of Coruscant.

"Easily done." Elac responded, twisting his agile craft into a barrel roll, evading a strafing volley by the A-wing.  Turning hard Elac attempted to get behind the fighter, kicking his formidable engines into overdrive.  Finally he pulled out of his steep bank, locking his weapons on to the back of the A-Wing, only to have it veer downwards as soon as he fired his turbolasers.

A worthy challenge at last Elac sat up stiffer, the bloodlust rushing through his veins.

Xjrz pulled his A-wing upwards, pushing power to the engines to get as far up in the air as possible. He turned around in a quick jerk of his yoke, and descended downward toward the Sith vessel, firing as he flew. The Sith vessel responded by releasing his own burst of speed, avoiding the barrage of fire before it came close. This is exactly what Xjrz was expecting. He sent power to the A-wing's thrusters, and shot forward at extremely accelerated rate, and closed in on his foe. He managed to get a lock from he angle he was attacking from, behind but a little above the vessel, and fired without stopping. Half the shots landed hits on the back of the Sith vessel, and he finally did some damage. The vessel responded by nose-diving downward, and coming around behind Xjrz's A-wing, Xjrz put through another burst of speed, and flew upwards. The two vessels switched directions, and flew towards each other, Xjrz towards the ground, the Sith upwards. They shot volleys of blaster fire in their path, landing numerous hits on the opposite vessel. As they made their pass, Xjrz noticed one of his engines had been hit in the process of the fight, and time was of essence now.

"Time to finish this..." he thought to himself, turning around for another pass.

Elac gritted his teeth as the A-Wing swept around for another run on his ship.  His shields were holding, but the last hit had managed to wreak havoc with the Crimson Duke's inertial dampeners. Grinding his vessel to a midair stop, Elac felt the G's peel against his face, as his vessel's reverse thrusters kicked in full.  The A-wing, unexpecting, shot right past him.

Quickly Elac swiveled the automated turbolaser battery adorning the craft's underbelly 180 degrees.  The lasers let out a barrage of fire, unrelentingly tracking the now fleeing A-wing.

"Aw, Sithspit" spat Xjrz, as the blast of fire came over his vessel once again. Retreating downwards, he began to think out his options. But, before he could three seeker missiles began to approach his vessel, and it was no mystery as to where they came from.

"Trying to finish me off, I see." said Xjrz calming, stretching out to the Force.

Xjrz put all the power that was left into his thrusters, and shot forward. The three missiles steadily stayed behind him, as well as the Sith vessel, he could feel the Sith presence watching him struggle. Xjrz concentrated on listening to the Force to aid him, and it directed him to a small squad of Sith fighters making their way to the surface. Speeding over to the fighters, he shot a barrage of fire, destroying one of the unsuspecting fighters, and the others soon returned fire, as they grew near Xjrz spun his fighter upside down and back over numerous times, and then shot downward when he got as close to one of the fighters as he could. One of the missiles broke off and destroyed the fighter is a spectacular explosion, taking another with it in the aftermath. There were 3 fighters left in the pack, and 2 missiles left on Xjrz's tail, as well as the Sith vessel not far behind, watching. Xjrz had his astromech droid dump the spare parts, and whatever else it could behind him, and numerous materials fell out of the vessel, hitting one of the missiles and exploding, as well as taking 2 more of the fighters with in the explosion. As Xjrz waited for this, he reversed direction, firing upon the last fighter with exceptional precision, and destroying it. As he flew through the remainder of the explosion, he came face to face with his Sith foe again, with the last missile chasing him. He fired a barrage of fire at the vessel, which the Sith avoided, but kept coming at Xjrz. Xjrz stopped his vessel for a fraction of a second, and ejected from the cockpit, as the A-wing stopped, the missile hit it, and the Sith vessel was caught in the explosion, causing his ship to spiral toward the surface, Xjrz waitied in his cockpit as it descended towards the surface, hopefully not too far from where his foe would land.
((OOC: Hopefully that wasn't too crazy))

Elac's head snapped forward hard as his craft slammed into a rooftop, skidding to a halt in a cascade of destroyed masonry.  His body strained as it slammed into the ship's crash webbing, the whiplash tearing deep marks in his chest.  Elac panted for breath as he crawled out of his seat, cringing as sparks rained down on his bruised body.

Struggling as he pulled on the ship's guard rails, Elac staggered to his feet.  Feeling his way through the smoke choked cabin, he came to the exit ramp.

Jammed the Sith swore, fumbling for his saber to no avail.  It had flown loose in the crash.

Frak! Elac swore in rage, pounding his fist against the warped door.  He would not be outwitted by some weak Jedi and fail his master.  Suddenly, a slight tap on his hip broke his thoughts.  looking down  he saw the shimmering bronze glint of Archeron's saber.  Reaching down, he unclipped the blade, slowly letting it roll into his palm.  The archaic hilt was warm to the touch, almost pulsing.  Flipping the ignition, Elac watched in wonderment as a narrow blood-red beam noislessly leaped to life in front of him.

His suprise quickly faded to determination. Making three quick slashes with the ethereal blade, Elac carved his way out of the smoldering wreckage of the Crimson Duke.

Xjrz watched as the ship descended as quickly as it did and made a spectacular crash onto a nearby rooftop. Using the Force, he directed his now jettisoned seat to that same rooftop, to neutralize his damaged foe.

A few moments later, his seat came to a harsh stop on the rooftop, about the same time as he heard a lightsaber ignite and a few slashes as the Sith carved his way out of the wreckage. Xjrz unfastened his seat harnesses, and kept his hand on his main blade's hilt as the Sith jumped out of his new opening, and landed a few meters away from Xjrz. To Xjrz's astonishment, it was a startling familiar face, and Xjrz had to take a step back in disbelief.

"No..." he managed to stutter, as he looked upon the face of the now fallen Jedi Knight Cale.

Acheron's upper lip curled in distaste as Elac's craft crashed into a building on the Coruscanti sky-rise. His Apprentice had much to learn... patience and control of his actions first and foremost.

"Omega, we're landing near my Apprentice, he may need my help."

Acheron twisted the flight yoke, guiding his craft gracefully over to the building, landing on an out-stretched landing pad from a private apartment. Flipping expertly from his craft, Acheron reached a hand behind him, and heard his Light Staff come flying through the air to slip into his out-stretched hand.

Pulling his hood to cover his face, he moved through the apartment, past a family of gape-jawed Bothans and slapped the door-jam. Turning back to the family, as if by an after-thought, "You saw nothing. The craft on your landing-pad will not be tampered with until my return." When he saw them nod obediently, he turned, with a snort of derision, and headed out into the corridor, intent on honing in on Elac's location through the Force.

The vibrant ruby beam of his saber consumed Elac, his focus locked completey on it's shimmering beauty.  Somewhere, in some different world, another blade ignited. Garbled words were passed underwater.  But this was too distant for Elac to hear, only the blade concerned him now. The Sith apprentice watched with a detatched wonderment, his saber twisting left in a parry, distorting the air in it's wake with cold music.  The saber lunged again, striking at some unknown foe, his body pulled along like the master of an unruly hound.  Soon the movements intensified into a flurry, the unbridled saber carving intoxicating patterns into his vision as it struck out into the cloudy darkness.

Lord Invictus' fighter, unrecognized by the Republic warriors marching attentively across Coruscant, landed quietly by the Jedi temple.

"Splinter... you may show yourself whenever you please... we have work to do," the Grand Inquisitor hissed, marching eagerly from his ship to the Temple.

A one man assault would be extremely chaotic. With Splinter's assistance, the combined force of two Sith Lords in a crisis could lead to something great... perhaps the Chancellor's life was in danger?

Two guards twisted awkwardly as Invictus entered a narrow hallway, shocked. Both spiraled forward in mere seconds, colliding harshly with the grim metallic walls nearby. Splinter followed close behind, trailing behind Invictus down the darkened hallway of the Temple.

"It appears that the Council- and most likely the Chancellor as well- are well positioned above us in the central tower of the Temple... we are blocking their single exit," Invictus stated, carefully unsheathing his lightsaber. "Splinter, would you mind ascending with me to the Council chambers?"

Setting past minute differences aside, Splinter easily cooperated with Invictus. "Why sure, m' Lord." Splinter mocked with a grin. "I'm short of weapons, by we've seen what I can do bare handed. Who knows, I might take a souvenir..."

He gestured for the Sith Lord to go ahead of him up the flights, as Splinter paced close behind, keep a keen eye for any rear ambush.

((Vic... Sirak's a CM and he's currently in a star fighter, as is SaV, I assume Ben is too. Is there anyone in there...? And the SC would be in the Senate Building [forget the name]))

Acheron reached the turbo-lift, and drawing on the dark presence his Apprentice exuded, was drawn to close to the top floor of the building. As the turbo-lift rose, he glared out the transparisteel, looking out over the Cosuscanti vista, the skyline blotted out by the towering spires of the old Jedi Temple.

Sith Intelligence had long ago determined that the Jedi Order presumed destroyed at Bakura nearly thirty years ago had indeed shifted its base of operations to somewhere far closer to the core. That the Council seemed to be operating out of Coruscant either indicated that they had permanently, and arrogantly, assumed the role of central peace keepers for the Galaxy, the role that the old Coruscanti Jedi had held before the purge of Sidious and his Apprentice.

Interesting... if the entire Council was indeed here, they may have taken up residence in the old Temple. Acheron made note of the information in case it would prove useful at a late point in time. For now though, he was determined to rescue his rather brash Apprentice. Ironic, that a former Jedi was far less patient and serene than a natural Sith...

Xjrz was in a state of shock, and not just from the realization that Cale had fallen, and was the Sith who had just tried to kill him, but also from the fact that he had attacked him without a second thought. Xjrz was playing purely defensive now, he couldn't bring himself to attack Cale, not without reasoning with him first.

"Cale?" Xjrz asked, blocking another swipe across him chest.

"Cale! It's Xjrz, what are you doing?" he demanded

Cale said nothing, and simply continued to hack away at Xjrz's defenses, and Xjrz was dumbfounded. Cale didn't even seem to be listening, he was intent on destroying his foe, and didn't seem like it mattered who it was. Xjrz felt as if he had no choice at this point but to fight back, maybe that would bring Cale to his senses.

Xjrz flipped backwards, and brought out his shoto, and ignited it with one quick motion, and attacked the fallen-Cale with a series of attacks near his face and throat, which Cale blocked with perfection.

Xjrz knew something was very, very wrong.
