The death of Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson (50 August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009) years old, has been pronounced dead today at 3:15 Pacific Daylight Time. The cause was cardiac arrest. May he rest in peace, the King of Pop. His songs were a hit, and I loved his albums. Shame he had to die. _________________ My mission: To irritate the living hell out of you with the word A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

He made the greatest album of all time and was possibly the biggest inspiration on today's music, and that was something that was recognized before he died. That's what people are remembering him for and I honestly don't see how that's him being "glorified" more than he should be. Chris Moyles said it best (It's the only sensible thing he's ever said) when he said (I'm paraphrasing) "Michael Jackson is to this generation (his generation) what Elvis was to previous generations". RIP (Rest in Plastic?) MJ.

The man was a child, who had his actual childhood taken away by a abusive and pushy father and he subsequently acted like a child when he grew up. _________________

There are plenty of criminals out there who've got some type of justification for their crimes. Just because Jackson is the king of pop, doesn't mean is excuse is anymore viable than any other joe out there who molests kids. Even if (and I find this doubtful) Jackson didn't molest these kids, sleeping with them is sickening. _________________

I've shared a bed with my sister many times before, is that sickening? I see MJ as a mixture of black, white, man, woman, adult and child, representing everything in all of us. He was an incredible singer, who was also incredibly eccentric. There seems inherent in humans a desire to hate what is unknown to us, or strange, and MJ was certainly strange. To say these sorts of things, especially after his death, are uneccessarily harsh. _________________ Time to start again.
