Korus, just to clarify that whole GodModding comment: Perhaps I used the wrong terminology. Maybe bunnying fits? I was basically talking about how you kept using Talen in your posts (like actually having him do new things aside from what I had posted) without my permission. Now it's totally fine if that's the norm on this site, but from most of the RPing roots I come from, that's a big no-no. Each character is a creation of the writer and thus it is up to him to decide what to do with that character. It'd basically be like me taking control of Xander and giving him a glorious death...without consulting you. I'm not really that mad, it's just...different. _________________

That's not really crossing any lines - in my opinion Injury, extensive dialogue, major actions. Those are lines that shouldn't be crossed unless explicitly specified by the roleplay creator (for instance, all of my roleplays I make extensive use of player characters - its necessary since they're story-based roleplays). _________________ May The Force Be With Us, Always

Could Shadra and the Cthons really climb up a sheer building wall all the way from Coruscant's underbelly to the surface entrance of the Jedi Temple in the little bit of time it took to wipe out 50 Sith troopers? Nah, probably not. But it'd be much less fun to unleash an army of mutants if there was no one outside to greet them Anyway, there aren't any pictures of Cthons on Wookieepedia or Google image search, but they likely look rather similar to Rakghouls (although with somewhat less extreme mutation). I didn't injure you... I didn't do anything. If everyone was purely describing their own characters, how would the RP progress but in short bursts? I wouldn't be able to control the Sith troopers and kill them because they are under Lanik/Vexen's control. I wouldn't be able to order Rive's move into the Temple to save him because Rive is not my character. It's called progressing the plot. You shouldn't be mad at all. _________________ Time to start again.

The troopers are NPCs which everyone has a stake in, and since Rive is unconcious, he basically becomes one as well. Plus you have his permission to do whatever you want with him. No, you didn't kill me, no you didn't injure me, but giving him dialogue, having him to do something that I didn't approve still counts. Maybe I didn't want Talen to start heading for the Temple? Maybe I wanted him to put on a sombrero(sp?) and start dancing around with marracas. Also, the RP would be able to progess just fine with everyone controlling their own characters. I come from an RP site that takes it much more seriously. They have RPs with everyone controlling their own characters (and maybe an approved bunny here and there) and they turned out to be some of the best stories I've ever read. Plus...they were less than five pages long. I'm not trying to say that you should stop, just let me know. Just try and make sure that what you have planned towards my character is alright with me, that's all I'm asking. It may just be an RP, but writing has always been important to me, and it chides my sides when someone bunnys without permission. Again, I'm not trying to be argumenative or confrontational. Just let me know what you're planning. _________________

You have one little action done by a character and then (depending on the person writing) a ton of inner monologue about what's going on. Then you move on to the next post with the same thing being done by another character. It's good for character progression, but makes for slow movement. They also tend to work better where you know that someone will respond within 24 hours. We, unfortunately, don't know that here. So here's what I'll say: Try not to mind it too much. That not about Talen having two lightsabers? That was a good note. That was something Xander got wrong. But I can bet that - now that you've pointed it out - he won't get it wrong again. Playing (lightly) with other people's characters is a fantastic way to get to know them better. It makes the groups feel more "real". Additionally: You're, of course, free to make your own roleplay with an extremely strict "keep to your own frakkin' characters!" rule. It's not much fun for me when everyone uses my character right and left. It messes with the plans and ideas I had originally in place to use. And not to be mean Korus, but the tone I'm getting from your posts in here is that you're starting to treat me like a douche. Don't. @Rive: I understand where you're coming from, but the whole point that I'm trying to make is that you don't know Talen. Since this is my first time RPing here you guys have nothing to go off of, which is what makes Korus's "believable" actions and dialogue not so believable for me. I understand that this is non-canon, just for fun RPing, but I have fun when I can use my character exclusively. So please don't be offended when I say that I probably won't be RPing here anymore. You can use Talen for the story's sake, but just don't expect me to participate. I just have a way of doing things when it comes to writing. Both RP and actual stories. _________________
