Holden was looking with a raised eyebrow at the child, whom he circumvented slowly, prodding her with the Force. She wasn't... there, but she was in the Force... very odd.

Nevertheless, he crossed to the rest of the group and waited to see what she had to say.

Lucy stopped her pursiut. "Hush or the house will wake-" But almost as if the house read Vereor's thoughts, the ground below them began to shake and twist. Lucy's eyes widened. Shaking the trees, the ground, everyting, suddenly everyting went very dark. It wasn't dark enough that the members of the group couldn't see each other but dark enough that you couldn't see the ground.

And as if something had stirred them from a long slumber the trees tore from the ground, standing openly on two large branchs for feet.

And then the branchs of the trees formed into razor wire.

"Jedi, Fall in!" Lina shouted, grabbing the lightsaber she'd kept hidden and lettting the familar buzz fill the air. "Sith too!" She added as an after thought.

Kaydros grabbed his lightsaber and ignited the green blade. Now he did truly regret not exercising enough for the past few weeks. He hadn't lost too much muscle yet though. Ideas buzzed through his head, mostly about if Belle was in danger or not. It was very possible that the house wanted something with her. If it wanted to kidnap her, he would not let that happen. He doubted that it had gotten her pregnant just to kill or harm her, but he wouldn't take any chances. Besides, even if it didn't mean for harm to come to her, he didn't want her to be taken away at all.

He needed everyone's help to fend this thing off, so he would try and protect everyone, but he got right in front of Belle. If he could protect anyone here it would undoubtedly be her. He stood, ready to block any attack from the trees. Or at least he hoped that he was ready.

Belle backed up ever so slightly from Kaydros, trying to give him the room that he needed. The barbed-wire trees screeched with a hellish growl which shook the earth below them and blew a mighty wind accross the imitated feild. Th false sky over the heads of the Jedi and Sith roared with a mighty clash. Lightning whipped across the sky in boundless rage while the wind swirled with hatred for the living. Raina and Loren were at Belle's side, to protect the other side of the woman. This was no time for them to back out, they had to protect her.

"Kaydros!" Raina shouted over the garggaling of the wind and ground. The trees were begining to advance on them."Kaydros! We'll take Belle away from here, she can't stay!"

Kaydros heard Raina's yell, but didn't respond. He knew that he didn't need to and that they were already running away. The tree was already lashing out at him. He dodged to the side and chopped a branch off. The branch tried to move towards Kaydros to at least scratch him, but didn't make it.

He was excited by this small victory, but there were already 3 more branches coming at him. He had to jump back, one of the trees managed to get a little scratch on his hand. It bled a lot due to the sharpness of the tree, but he ignored it.

Taking down a huge tree like this one branch at a time was going to be a very long and painful process. He didn't know if he should retreat or stand and fight to the end, even if he did take down the tree, the house undoubtedly had more tricks hidden away. Still, he had not formally quit the Jedi yet and Lina was still in charge. He would wait for her order.

Lina noticed the swiftness in the way the trees moved and she was working quickly to make a way to get these down. She saw that when Kaydros had cut off the barbewire of the trees branch three more grew in its place. She gulped. Where had she seen or herd this story before? A branch came at her, and she hoisted off the ground, throwing all her weight into the air. Three branchs came at her and one grabbed ahold of her wrist, dangling her in the air.

She yelped at the sudden suprise of pain, something she hadn't felt in awhile and sliced it off. The part that she cut off faded into dust and then three more grew to replace it. "Don't cut the branchs!" Lina shouted, with drawing her saber and latching back onto her belt.

The trees screeched hellishly again.

She assembled back to them, to the Jedi. There had to be a weak point, they had to out manuver them some how.

"Spread out! Find a weak spot!" She yelled, already making her way to a tree, trying to skim it quickly to find what she could about it.

((I don't know if you just meant for more branches to grow back when one is cut, but I actually meant that three different branches than the one he cut were swinging at him. It is fine if you do just want the branches to grow back, but as long as you have a plan I'm fine either way.))

Kayros lowered his blade, but didn't turn it off. He wanted to help Lina, her current position looked very painful, but he didn't know how to help. He started running around the tree. It was thick with branches.

"Maybe one of the Sith could use lightening on it!" Kaydros yelled. He didn't know if it would help, it might hurt Lina, but it was the only thing that came to mind.

Raina had returned to the Battle. "None of us are strong enough to do that except Vereor!" At which time, Raina began looking about for the Vampire, trying to find a way around this. "at a minute!" Raina shouted. "I've seen this before in some anchient Mythology!" She was thinking very quickly, looking the trees over. Before she got a chance to notice anything, a branch swooped down and wrapped round her waist, lifting her in the air as it swirled around her.

An inhuman scream tore from her lips, over all other noise and all other things, Raina's screaming was the most dominat thing that could be herd. It was painful to hear it alone and terrifying. No words were muffled, only the constant screaming.

Kaydros cringed at the sound of Raina's scream. He knew that being caught by the razor wire tree and being picked up in the air must be extremely painful. He knew that he couldn't help her, but he wished that he could. "Anytime Vereor!" He yelled hoping that the Sith could destroy the tree without hurting Raina or Lina.

He looked over at Belle and yelled, "Keep running!" He knew that it was hard for her being pregnant, but it would be far worse if she was caught by the tree.

He stood in the trees path. It swung a branch at him and he jumped back. Maybe he could at least distract it to give Vereor time to electrocute the tree and Belle time to run. He kept jumping back and to his sides, trying to avoid the branches. But with the trees thick of branches, getting caught was unavoidable.

Vereor had been preoccupied trying to defend Lucy when he was pierced by Raina's horrible scream. "Wait here," he told the girl and placed her down behind a stationary tree stump. He was now in the mix of things and aware of the grim situation. He had a difficult choice to make. Help Raina or Lina?

He chose Raina; he owed her that. "Hold on, Raina," he yelled to her as he drew upon his anger for the possessed tree. Anger for hurting Raina and Lina, anger for putting them all in this position. A brilliant blue light was produced from his outstretched fingertips and electrocuted the tree. Vereor was sure that Raina was likely zapped. The tree let out a great bark ((get it, bark?)), but Vereor didn't wait to see the effect. He turned the tree grasping Lina.

Raina tumbled to the ground, bleeding and smoking. She hit the ground amoungst the ashes of wire which cut her more. Lina, who was in the process of tearin at the tree, looked over at Vereor with fierce eyes. She activated her saber instead of the electicity and swipped away at the wire, cutting them to bits. She was away from the tree before it had a chance to grab her again. Something caught her eye, a small red light flashing in the mouth of the tree.

Lina worked quickly, she flung her activated saber stright through the mouth of the tree that had attacked her. The tree stumbled, sputtered, and screeched loudly, suddenly erupting in blue flames. Then it tumbled to the ground, until it burned out and off the face of the earth. For a moment the trees were still, as if they realized their weak point had been found. Another loud screech abruptly erupted from all of the trees. New Trees rose and began to advance them. 50 or 60 of them.

Lina called her saber back to her hand. "There's a light in the mouths! AIM FOR IT!!!" Lina jumped in the air, sending her saber flying.

A sudden cry came from the direction of Belle and Loren.

Loren was sitting, hunched over as a tree dragged her by the leg and picked her up. The wire slowly began to wrap around her, making a cacoon like shap. Belle was helplessly standing at the base of the tree, her light saber activated. She couldn't fight it off, but te tree was killing Loren!

"Help!" Belle screamed.

Crozeus

Holden dived in, grabbing onto the branch despite the severe pain he was rewarded with. Desperately, he hacked at the branches with his saber, which were slowly coming un-done. However, it was not fast enough. By the time he had cut through the last branch, Loren wasn't moving. The branches retreated and he and Belle grabbed hold of her and dragged her back while the others fought it off.

"Is she OK?" He asked, with desperation and fear clearly present in his voice.

Belle looked down at the woman intently. She pressed on Loren's chest, trying to use the force to restart her heart. After severl minutes of this, Loren's eyes got wider and she suddenly gasped for breath, sitting up and screamed. Tears were rolling down in her cheeks and she was shaking. Quickly, Belle tried to place a hand on Loren's shoulder but she jerked away from her, still bawling and sobbing, her screaming at least coming to an end.

The trees began to swarm again, around all of them.

It was Lucy now who stepped forward in the middle of the screeching mass of tangled flames. She outstretched her hands, calmly closing her dark eyes and seeming to listen to the weather. Lightning from over head danced down and began striking every tree in the area, one right after the other. After 10 of the trees were struck down she collapsed, her energy used up.

"Some one come here now!" Lucy yelled, laying on the ground.

Kaydros leaned back to avoid a swiping branch, but then another branch swung low and grabbed onto his ankle. He gasped in pain, but did not let out a scream. The tree was about to drag him up when Raina destroyed it with her lightsaber.

He cut the branch off of his leg, though the pain hadn't even died down yet. He limped slowly away, the razor still entrenched in his ankle. He tried to cut the dead branch with his lightsaber. It burned the branch off, but it didn't take the razors out, this could take a while.

Suddenly, he noticed Lucy shocking all the trees. Then she layed down on the ground and yelled for someone to come over. He stumbled over to her, pain shooting through his left leg with every step.

After the brutal standoff was over, Darth Vereor rushed over to the screaming child. He took Lucy by the shoulders. "Lucy, what's wrong? he asked her.
