The split and my return roughly coincided - in fact, I think I came back at least a few months before it since I had regathered enough support by then that I was the one to spearhead the effort to create the Sith ranking system here and completely sever ties.
Anyway, I actually found the theory behind this thread fairly amusing. So dipping into my photobucket account's avatar folder we have...
"A Long Time Ago..." - Before the founding of the forum there was: Rive's starwars.com blog.
"Groundbreaking" - The forum is conceived and Rive uses a better Revan avatar than the starwars.com one.
"What the Hell, Rive? Learn to draw." - A very brief period in which Rive used his worst drawing ever (hastily done up using colored pencils which happened to be on hand). Still, notable for being the first primitive appearance of Scruffy Rive.
"Thank goodness that's over." - Rive goes back to Revan - this time modified to have his name using a grainy Star Wars title font and a teal lightsaber blade.
"The era of animation." - Rive uses a freshly constructed animated gif.
"Ye Olden Days." - Rive stops using that gif because he realizes its a huge file and switches to an avatar that will be used for a very long time."
"Era of the Bowl Cut Rive." - Rive learns to draw a bit better and redoes Scruffy Rive in a Clone Wars (2D) style of art.
"Era of the Scruffy Rive." - Began roughly 40 minutes after the previous era when Rive decided he hated the bowl cut.
"Era of the Rat." - Joke avatar initiated by Dork of Mordork. Lasted 2 or 3 days.
"Era of the Scruffy Rive 2" - Not pictured
"Era of the Sexy Rive." - Joke avatar initiated by Vexen saying an old member was hot based on her avatar.
