Uhh. Sorry I'll be raiding Coruscant with my new Two-handed Sith Lightsaber and my Relic Holocron.

and btw just because there will be 4million Jedi.. doesn't mean it will be canon. Canonically it could 2... or 4.

I will be sadface though because Dakoth will choose Jedi and I must choose Sith further tearing our friendship apart. ( while im killing him with the force)

i hope there are no raids, and from the looks of it, there won't be.  At least, not on WoW scale.  I might actually enjoy this because it will probably be the most solo-orientated MMO on the market.

this reminds me of SWG. The only "Raid" type locations were very hard open world group spots. Not 10man groups or anything more like 4 or 5. Was extremely more PvP oriented game. If you weren't PvPing then you were grinding Jedi.

and Ollie I will slaughter you! what are you gonna do when me and Dakoth come knocking. Hippo isn't going to help, he's already in the trunk.

WoW is much better:

1) Medieval-style.
2) Doubtlessly more classes and races. Or, at the very least, more class-race combination.
3) Larger scale. Rather than fight a single enemy Jedi, WoW pits the player, with his army, against a massive instanced force.
4)... Wrath Gate....
5) Larger community; already dominant.
6) In all honesty (considering the massive lightsabers and pink force-halos) better graphics. Not that WoW isn't cartoony, but it's known and loved for its artwork, and it's not mega-'fake' cartoony either.
7) WoW has more than "Jedi, Sith, Freelancer'. It has 'Alliance/Horde' divided into 6 playable races per faction, with different classes and smaller orders, plus a great guild system. Roleplaying is awesome.

...you are saying this about a game that

A) Hasn't been released yet

B) Hasn't had all details given yet

and C) On a Star Wars forum...if you like WoW so much, go to a WoW forum.

1. Personal opinion, I always felt Sci-Fi ws a much better use of MMO.  I would have preferred a Starcraft MMO to Warcraft.
2.  Have you even looked at other MMO's?  WoW has the smallest lineup for both races and classes, ignoring Age of Conan.  Also, races are limited to what classes they could be. (Though many MMO's are like this).
3.  Given there has been almost nothing shown of end game content for this game, this is a fairly bold statement.  You can already tell they are going for the 'epic' Jedi vs. Sith feel.
4.  Can't comment.
5.  Then no one should ever make an MMO again, because everyone already plays WoW, why do we need a new one?
6.  Agreed, I greatly disliked the art style for this game, same as I hate the style for WoW.  This is done so it can run on more computors so another AoC doesn't happen.
7.  This point confuses me, because you list 3 things for TOR and 2 for WoW, then just say WoW is split up even further within the 2 sides.  Who's to say the Jedi and Sith aren't set up in the exact same way, plus have the option of a middle road, which WoW does not offer.

It is very preemptive to say WoW will 'be better'.  WoW will do better of course, but thats just because everyone (Including yourself) already assume this game won't be worth your time).

I'll admit, its a damn shame WoW has become so dominant.  The leviathan that is blizzard pretty much casts a shadow over every other game and pretty much stifles the genre.

It also doesn't help that mmos are always at thier worst during launch.  I guarantee this one will be a total cluster&(# for probably months.

I agree. A Starcraft MMO would have been way better.

One of the few downsides of WoW's success.  Because WoW finally became a smooth bug-free experience over years of patching, people epect all MMO's to start off that good.  And Blizzard can't even balance it's own classes.

They never will, balancing PvP for a game that was built from the ground up for PvE is like putting a hippo on a hairpin.
