Topic! Stay at least vaguely on it! Razz

Two interesting things on the official episode guides this week. One, you might have - like me - caught the Plo Koon painting on the nose of the first gunship that landed. Starwars.com has the actual image - making it clear enough to read that it says "Plo's Bros" Razz

Two, they followed the concept art really really closely for the second episode.

Rive comes back and suddenly the forum gets active... why didn't that happen when I came back?

Oh that's right, we got an active RP going. Heh.

Does anyone have links to the episodes that you DON'T have to download?

Presumably he wants streaming flash versions of the episodes.

Starwars.com is putting them up around a week after they air - like last year: http://www.starwars.com/video/

There could be people putting them up sooner than that streaming, but I wouldn't know *cough* who *cough*.

I haven't watched episode 3 just yet - I probably will later tonight. I sure wish I knew where to see it in *cough* high definition *cough*

Is it out already? Excellence. I thought it wasn't being shown until later today (my time).

Great episode. I'm really liking this new bad guy, though the decision to have them go to Mustafar was a bit too interventional for my tastes, leave the movie locations for the movies. No need to introduce unnecessary need for retconning.

See, I actually thought the opposite. I thought it was great to show that Palpatine already had an investment in Mustafar at this time - it makes its appearance in Episode III a bit less random ("It is a volcanic planet, you will be safe there." "That's great! Thanks Grievous... wait, what?")

I wasn't really expecting that opening with them finding disguised Bane so quickly. I figured he'd get to slip away unnoticed.

By far, my favorite bit of the episode was Bane disguised as a Jedi ("Your son is strong with the Force."). I fully expected Bane to just go in, blasters drawn, and snatch the kids by force. The show is finding a much firmer footing with doing interesting things since Season 1.

There's not too much interesting in the official episode guide this week, although they did point out this little thing that I missed when watching the episode myself:

When Bane escapes into Hyperspace near the beginning, Anakin does the same angry spin and slow walk with his hands behind his back as he does (as Vader) when the Falcon escapes at the end of Empire Strikes Back.

I would have never caught that if I had watched it 20 times over.

I catch stuff like that *fairly* often. Like last season when I caught them doing an Episode IV reference with R2 being lowered into his fighter socket - despite your attention *supposed* to be being on Anakin on the other side of the screen.

I also caught the Plo Koon symbol on the side of the gunship last week, before starwars.com posted a larger version of it Smile

Yeah I noticed that, and then he says something along the lines of, "I'll inform the Council that he escaped," much as Needa says that he will inform Vader that the Falcon escaped.

Oh, I also had a bit of a "gah!" moment when they did the multi-Jedi mind trick thing, since I had one of those in a future chapter of Without Sin, I suppose I'll rewrite it now so as not to be to seem imitative Razz

Yeah, to me that scene seemed a bit odd, especially after Obi-Wan got a bit antsy with Anakin using the mind persuasion on Zam in AOTC. To see them all eagerly using it seemed a bit over the top.
