Tom Morello is the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine.

Matt Bellamy is guitarist, vocalist and pianist for Muse.

Claudio Sanchez or Travis Stever would own Matt Bellamy.

I don't even need to ask to know that they're from Coheed.

And actually, their guitar is classic indie, sounds good but is easy to play.

Bellamy is monumentally talented.

If you've got time:

If you don't:

And a bit of piano:

I'm pretty sure after watching this video you would change your mind about what kind of style they play.

I wish that I could've found a video without Atreyu, but this one'lll have to do:

Coheed and Cambria has the creativity and technicality in their solos, unlike most bands that just throw a bunch of crap in there. I'm not saying Muse does that, I'm just explaining my feelings on the matter.

They're guitar battles... I'm guessing random improv (not saying that's a bad thing)

If it was one guy playing both parts, I would be more impressed. I always tend to feel that bands with two guitarists are only there because the first guy isn't talented enough.

Remember that I actually quite like Co&Ca.

They actually borrowed the whole guitar duelling thing from Pink Floyd.

Watch Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and John Petrucci go at it on G3. That's pure talent.

My favorite Joe Satriani song:

Oh, I know that. I'm just saying that they borrowed that same kind of style of guitar duelling.

Wow. this is coheed & cambria magic song formula:

Use minor scale. Sing blatantly ripped off sci-fi plots.

Ta-Da!

Oh, I just knew that Sam would make some kind of argument. And I also knew that it would be a rather terrible one.

If you can find any proof that they ripped their songs off of anything, please don't be afraid to tell me.

Muse's Magical Formula:

Matt - "Hey guys, what should I do for my solo this time? Oh wait! I'll just hold down the same chord and go up and down the fretboard!"

Chris - "Yeah! They're gonna love it!"

Dominic - "Group hug!"

Maybe you should listen to a few more songs besides Welcome Home and then you'll understand that they don't overuse the minor scale. The reason that they use the minor scale is because many of their songs tend to be about sad or unhappy things that are involved in the story.

I would still like you to give me a link or something about how they are ripoffs. That is, if you can find one.

And you're right. They don't go up the fretboard every song, but most.
