If I think about it, I haven't played many Star Wars games that took place on Tatooine.

I'll make a list of the SW games I've played (that I can remember, there may be more) and if they included Tatooine or not. Not saying that all of these were good games, but I've played them. Most of them beaten.

Rouge SquadronN64: Yes
Pod RacerN64: Yes, but definitely necessary
Kotor: Yes
Jedi Knight Academy: Yes, and overused
Koror2: No
SW Galaxies: Yes, but necessary.
Empire at War: Yes, probably necessary, they needed a lot of planets.
Battlefront2: Yes
Force Unleashed: No

At least most modern books don't use them too much. I'm just saying, it is supposed to be a kind of remote, unknown, unpleasant planet. Maybe a little more famous after ROTJ because Luke and Vader were from Tatooine.

What about the first Battlefront? Or Renegade Sqaudron? Don't forget Star Wars Bounty Hunter! I loved that game!

That's 10 games! There could be more.

I haven't played those three. Sorry, I'm a bad, lazy Star Wars fan.

Well, well, well....looks like we're gonna have some fun with SW canon this time around!  Razz This DLC well take a "What if..." path with our beloved Starkiller, you will take up the Sith ending of Starkiller replacing Lord Vader at Sidious's side and continue to hunt down/kill his enemies. Here is a video released from the SW panel at comic-con.

*P.S. The Hoth stuff in the trailer is not part of the DLC that is coming out this fall but is part of a re-release of the game that will include both DLC packs and the Hoth mission as what is being called:SW The Force Unleased-Sith Edition. So if you want to mop the floor with young Skywalker, looks like your gonna have to buy a new copy of the game since that mission is only for that version of the game. Well, that blows....nice way to drop the ball on that Lucas Arts.

...damnit. I'd love to kill Skywalker...but I doubt I'll buy a whole new game for it. It will be DLC eventually.

EDIT: I watched the trailer...it seems you are fighting Jabba's Rancor...and dueling Boba Fett. I hope you don't kill him.

Yes, it will be released at some point down the road but it will be some time after the re-release of the game. Darn it LA, why do u make us loyal SW fans who supported the game the first time around have to get shafted with the Hoth DLC???  Crying or Very sad

Because GL is in charge and all he cares about is money...that's why.

Ok, I just watched the part of the SW panal on G4 that covered the TFU DLC/re-release and they said nothing about it coming out for download for people who have the original version of the game, they keep saying(and I quote)"Only for the Ultimate Sith Edition". This is totally BS, really GL and Lucas Arts??? Really? Us supporters and hardcore fans that went out in hordes and bought this game and made it sell well get nothing....that's low, that's really low. I haven't been this hurt by news like this since I heard there would be no KOTOR 3 and the awesomeness that would have been Dark Obi-Wan in the original Battlefront 3 by Free Radical was died. This sucks hardcore....I'm so hurt right now.  Crying or Very sad

I think when they started charging $10 for skins is when I got ticked off.  I am not in the least bit surprised about this.

The last DLC us early adapters will see anytime soon is now live on XBL and PSN for $10 or 800 MSP. Grab it and enjoy it....it maybe very well be the last we see for this game.  Crying or Very sad

There is some good news...of sorts for the original owners of TFU. In a interview on Game Trailers, it was said that there are no plans at the moment but that Lucas Arts might have seen the error of thier ways and may release the Hoth level as DLC. Here is a link to this new info:

That looks good, hopefully.

Actually, there still might be a KOTOR3. EA were giving a presentation on game developers and upcoming games and under LucasArts there was a single frame which said "New KOTOR"

I know right? But nobody has said anything about it.

My bad, it just says "KOTOR"

http://uk.gamespot.com/news/blogs...9/26213172/kotor-3-confirmed.html

They say it's a tribute to past games, but I doubt it.
