But it didnt jump away did it.. it was just stuck in the same place wasnt it? cause there was loads of debris fromt he battle about.

And when that basestar jumped in, it felt like a lot of weight was brought in, i donno hwy i got that sense, it just seemed that way, as if the screen shook or somin.

Donno if im making much sense.

Also wasnt a big fan of the whole roslin and other world thing.. at first i thought they was on about the ferryman and stuff, like haedes and stuff, which would link to their "gods" methods. But wow... update much with a big  steam boat anyone?

Tbh i think this epi is easyily picked apart tbh, but there was just something i really liked, im extremely happy though that the ship of lights wernt the paintings as i had suspected at some point, i was like phew.

Well. I'll save judgement for the next time we see the Cavils and such. Perhaps their own basestars were heavily damaged in the conflict. Perhaps the Cylons basically just wiped themselves out - save for two or three heavily damaged basestars.

Spoilers for tonight's episode.

How many are we in now? 7?

The wait between episode's 10 and 11 of this season is going to be murder.

Spoiler:

Well I think that's the second or third time the show has made me involuntarily exclaim something.

The big one was still Galactica dropping into the atmosphere of New Caprica in Season 3. That's going to be tough to beat and was the moment that made me, out loud, say "wow!"

The last 6 seconds or so of this episode, specifically when the Hybrid said JUMP! Made me say "Ohh!" simply because it surprised me. I was ready for "Betrayal!" and the Centurions to go nuts. I was even ready for "EXECUTE!" and the Final Five to go nuts. But I wasn't ready for Roslin and Baltar to suddenly be thrown to parts unknown on a baseship. The direction I thought they were heading with things was suddenly flipped entirely on its head with one word. Thus: "Ohh!"

I also didn't see the Opera House being Galactica coming up. I wonder if they've had that planned all along or if they came up with it after Season 3 had already ended and the Opera House scenes had been filmed? Either way it was fairly clever and wonderfully cut.

I can't wait for the commentaries on some of these episodes - like this one.

Things are coming together and Galactica is still awesome. Wee!

God's will be done ("shut up").

Poor Gaeta... got a good song going there though.
And omg the finale i was like... OH NO!! and bam, she shot natalie  Shocked  was gutted, was starting to like natalie to, hope she survivves though, cause she got shot in the mid section, so no headshot, which they usually do to make sure erh things stay dead.

Huh - it aired early in the UK, eh? Well that's certainly interesting. It usually airs a few days late.

Yeah. Its because we dont have the memorial weekend thing. So it dosnt effect our schedule... although we had... Eurovision  Shocked  lol.

Major Spoilers for what happens

Spoiler:

No information on what happened with Roslin and co, but we find a field of debris of a recent battle. So im thinking maybe the next episode is a Ressurection type epi, where it goes so many hours earlier and we see exactly what happens.

Omg... tighs incharge of the Galactica, he got 6 pregnant, Lees sworn in, and the old man stays behind in a raptor..

Now it's certainly not in my top ten, but I thought this episode was definitely better than the "meh" you gave, so I was pleasantly surprised Very Happy

Spoiler:

I'm not wild about Lee becoming president and I would have liked Lampkin putting a gun to Lee's head a lot better if it was revealed to be one of Lampkin's ploys - the gun wasn't loaded and he was just trying to get the truth of Lee's convictions.

But, I really really like Mark Shepard, so having Romo back is awesome no matter what he does, heheh.

I also laughed when Jake showed up, since I've seen how big a following that darn dog has Smile

I also liked the episode because it's practically the first time this season we've seen Admiral Adama away from Roslin - their scenes together are great, but I also like to see him with other people!

So now they have two half-Cylon babies and one full-Cylon baby. Interesting. I almost thought Tigh would finally tell Bill that he's a Cylon in that last scene they were together.

Second to last episode before the mid-season break. If after next week's episode it says "Battlestar Galactica returns in 2010" or "Fall 2009"... I might need to jump off a bridge  Wink

Spoiler:

Another fantastic episode I'd say. No real scenes that went above and beyond (maybe the last), but all certainly good. And some nice space scenes.

So now they've figured out a way to (briefly) bring back Ellen Tigh and Elosha. Any bets on if Billy will show up again? Smile

Blast it. I thought I'd won! Roslin has been my bet for the final of the Final Five since the middle of Season 3!

Oh well. I suppose my new bet is Gaeta.

*Shouts in the dark*

Well that's fun/interesting...

http://www.scifi.com/gamecenter/games/spotthetraitor/index.php

I find it interesting because I can't get past level 3.

I can (of course) shoot metal cylons. I can shoot Six, Cavil, Leoben, Simon, and Doral pretty much every time.

But my mind only says "Cylon!" and shoots Xena... er... D'anna about 75% of the time... probably because Final Cut established her so well as a human character until the end reveal.

Boomer/Athena I can only catch about 50% of the time - same with Tory.

Tigh, Anders, and Tyrol I can only catch about 10% of the time, because they're still human in my head.

And I keep accidentally shooting Roslin and Gaeta since they were/are my bets for Final of the Final Five  Razz

Anyway. Very interesting.

I liked Hub.

TBH yesterday was a very good day for all things sci-fi BSG, AND DR Who each giving some wonderful entainment.

Although Sci-Fi better buckle up there ideas on this season, because im certainly not in the mood for a razor like movie to tide us over, i just want the freaking rest of the season. Very stupid of Sci-fi imo, there gonna lose viewers at this rate, due to them messing people about.

Anyhows Hub, was wonderful, the space seemed very poetic especially with the explosion of the Hub, reminded me a bit of Raptures super nova sequence.

Questions :

Is boomer alive? because I dont know where she can run off to seeing as the basestars surrounding the hub got anhilated. And well i think it would be a shame if she was killed just like that, a character whoses been with us from the beginning, the true Share Valeri. Oh well..

Was there any point of making Lee president? this episode just virtually nulifys the previous episode if they just join up with the fleet.

Will the Old man and Rossy get it together? (Gotta love his Han Solo moment. "I love you" , and he just embraces her Very Happy)

Where exactly is Sam Anders?

Why was Baltar talking to the centurion?

Was that centurions death "gods will" as baltar was talking to him, and thus the death of that centurion stopped any of his word being passed on.

Lots of questions Very Happy

We won't be getting another Razor. But we will be getting another series of short "webisodes" to bridge the midseason gap - like the ones that led into Season 3. I'm a patient man, myself, but I will be rather annoyed if there's an unnecessarily long gap before the final ten episodes.

I suspect that Cavil (downloading just in time) and Boomer ("my pet Eight") escaped in a heavy raider or such. But I'm not sure what will become of them. The rogue Cylons are going to be mad at Roslin for double-crossing them - but Roslin doesn't plan to destroy them and I doubt they'll turn on humanity again because they have no where else to go. But Cavil and Boomer (and any surviving Dorals or Simons - I doubt there are any since they were never very important and killing them off entirely simplifies matters) are completely alone in the universe now.

But, even if Boomer is gone - I don't think she went out in a completely uninteresting way. She downloaded Athena's memories because she was "curious" and I think she found them to be superior to her own over the past few years - even with the hardship Athena has endured. It's an interesting arc. Boomer took the easy route and ran away from her former life. Athena took the hard road and dedicated herself to community that will never accept her fully. And, if she is dead, in the end Boomer's road led to a meaningless death.

I suppose we won't know if there's any point to Adama's presidency until the next episode (or even the first or second episode after the midseason break). I suspect that the Quorum of Twelve will resist Roslin being placed back into power. They need to get in one last political power play before the end Very Happy

I'd say the Roslin/Adama knot is now firmly tied.

Anders is presumably still listening to Gaeta's singing I suppose  Razz

Baltar always likes to form alliances on all sides. He's aware that Roslin is forming alliances with the rogue Cylons (although he doesn't know that she keeps double-crossing them). It's logical that he doesn't want to be left in the cold.
I am interested to see what the final role Baltar will play is. Spirit-Elosha seemed rather happy that he was saved.

Well Spirits really do love Baltar, i mean they wont let him die, the erh sexually entertain him, which did lead to one funny incident in season one, "I was doing ehr my exercises" lol.. I just think Baltars a great character and i hope he dosnt die.

BTW, The ladies seem to love him, i mean he gets the most "action" int he show, i just donno how he dose it lol.

Of course, major major major spoilers for the mid-season finale!

Ah, what was I saying? Oh yes. MAJOR SPOILERS!

Spoiler:

Still fantastic stuff. If not for the fact that the Final of the Final Five hasn't been revealed - I would have been satisfied with this as the end of the series.

Now I was ALMOST right. I had originally expected the Demetrius to reach Earth in this episode and that it would activate Gaeta. Of course, since this ISN'T Season 3 and the Demetrius plotline resolved itself much more quickly than I expected... I threw most of that theory out the window.

But here we are! Irradiated Earth! Now we have 10 more episodes for flying motorcycles and murder mysteries! Er... no... please no.

Now for theories!

Starbuck did visit Earth. She left behind an emergency transponder attuned only to her Mystery Viper. Why she's forgotten or how she got the Viper I still don't have worked out, since I still highly doubt she's the final Cylon.

I'm leaning towards Gaeta still for final Cylon now that I've all but abandoned my Roslin bet - and I think he's already activated. Gaeta is the one who confirms that the Mystery Viper is receiving a signal. Gaeta is the one who confirms the constellations. No one checks his work. Gaeta could easily be up to something.

The series will end with Humans and Cylons returning to Kobol together.

Spoiler:

"The series will end with Humans and Cylons returning to Kobol together." That would piss me off so very badly, would of nullified the point of finding earth. How ever it would do justice to this has all happened before... etc

I liked the episode, very good actually, I didn't expect Tigh to survive, I was like this is BSG, so yeah my bets was him going for a little swim in the dark.

Why is Earth so trashed?

Whats up with it? is it habitable? or somin

Irriadiated? :S
