This wasn't in the plan! - A tale of misadventure.Setting 79ABY - The forests of Endor. A long abandoned Imperial research centre has been discovered/will be discovered and booty and adventure await...
Endor was so beautiful from space. It's lush green blankets of forest beckoned like a beacon to the eye, every so often punctuated by a pool of brilliant blue where a lake glistened in the reflected light of its nearby sun.
Janah dragged her eyes away from the impressive sight long enough to flick a switch, before breaking from orbit and descending into the atmosphere. Endor only had one starport, if you could call it that: a dirtpatch with a small hut from which a chilled out official directed ship movement was all that was on offer. With a relaxed smile Janah took 'Air and Darkness' down to her designated spot and landed gently.
The official smiled as she approached his lonely booth, her jacket over her head to keep off the gentle yet constant rain.
"Miss Karrde? Welcome to Endor. What brings you here this fine day?" He asked, his fingers fiddling with a pen in boredom.
"A break from business..." She responded with a grin. "...although I sure do pick the weather!" She checked her details in and then trotted back to her ship, avoiding the puddles as much as possible. A few moments later she emerged wearing a waterproof cape and a small backpack. She waved briefly to the official as she sealed her ship, and then disappeared between the trees and into the depths of the forest.

|
Cimil sat in the rain loving it, soaking it in. It was a perfect mind stimulate. Plus, he loved the fresh smell. A perfect meditation chamber would be one with simulated rain.
That was why he was here. To clear his mind. He was also here to... then something interupted his line of thought. A presence. Cimil grabed his lightsaber and started walking off. He left the top half of cloak behind, enjoying the feeling of the rain on his skin.

Janah clumped through the forest. Twigs snapped below her feet and settled water splashed. She glanced at what she thought was movement then smiled.
'Right, like I will bump into anyone out here.' She thought, and continued unperterbed. Stopping for a moment she pulled out a map and took a bearing, then walked on.

Cimil
|
Cimil hopped up a tree to watch the new comer. What was she doing here?
He decided that he would find out. There was a loud thump as he landed behind here.
"Hello."

Janah jumped and her hand flew for her pistol but stopped short at the greeting.
"You scared the life outa me!" She exclaimed, turning to face hin and then stepping back a little to put some distance between them. "I thought I was the only one here."
She glanced at the compass and frowned.
"Let me guess! You are lost too, right?"

|
"Not exactly, I came here to clear my mind of... past events." He looked troubled for a second before saying "Plus I'm not exactly welcome on a few planets."

Janah nodded in understanding.
"Yeah, sometimes the only peace you can get is in the most unlikely of places." She said as she brushed some water off her face. "Well I am going this way, and if you are too you may as well walk with me. Better than appearing out of nowhere, at least I will know where you are!"
Smiling, she started to walk, stopped, checked her compass, changed direction and continued.

Cimil thought for a second. Then decides to follow.

Despite her confident stride and regular checks on their bearing, the trees soon began to get thicker and the way through harder to find. Large animals beating their way through the undergrowth called out in surprise and large birds flapped overhead.
Ahead of them a large hound type creature stared at them from the top of what appeared to be a semi submerged building. It growed menacingly and prepared to charge.

"Damit damit damit damit damit" Jynzo said as he steered the now crashing ship as best he could.
He had come out of hyperspace to close to the gravity well of the planet after escaping a band of pirates. He had stolen one of their ships and they did not take to kindly to this. He hurled towards the planet at an incredible speed, trying desperately to bring the nose of the ship up and out of the dive. But he was moving to fast, and could not stop. He quickly Press a button on the dash board to activate the failing shields, he then ejected Vera's data chip and put it inside of Sumomo. He tucked sumomo in her usual pocket and Rinji got in his lap. Both Jedi creating a sort of force bubble around them to protect themselves.

One hand then the other, Jynzo draged himself out of the crater he had just created in the forest of Endor. He lay down on the ground breathing heavily, blood dripping from his forehead and being washed away by the falling rain.
He managed to stay conscious and he heard foot steps heading his way. He almost laughed, what are the odds of crashing on endor and some is there to help you?

|
Cimil readied himself as the hound charged. Igniting his saber he leaped aside at the last moment, simultanously bringing his saber down at the beast. With a final sqeal the hound dropped to the ground nearly cut in half. Cimil stared as the organs slid out of the body.
There was a loud crash nearbye. Cimil instantly searched the force. Great, a jedi. Just the people he was running from.
"Wait here." He said before setting off.

Janah looked at Cimil in shock.
"Wait here? Wait here?" She said, following him. "First you slice and dice that...that...thing with a lazer sword, then you say 'wait here'! What if there is another one?"
A lazy column of smoke rose from the site of the crash and marked its rapid landing like a beacon.
"Woah, someone really messed up that landing." Janah said, rolling her eyes. "Do you think anyone is still alive in there?" She poked the undergrowth to the side as she made her way carefully towards the smoldering twisted metal.

Using some of the last bit of strength he had, Jynzo unhooked his lightsaber and ignited it. He waved the blade around slightly so someone would see it. He also sent a small ripple through the force telling anyone around to come his direction.

The sound of a lightsaber igniting got Janah's attention and she spotted Jynzo's beacon.
"Look! Over there!" She shouted to Cimil and half-ran half-slid across the wet ground. "Damnit. Which pouch is it in?" She said, berating herself, as she searched throught her belt pouches for a small medipack.

Cimil took one final leap toward the crash site. His stomach sank. He reconised this jei. He had tried to kill him a couple of days ago. However if he was licky the crash might have gotten the jedi's mind out off order.

(Is this before or after you went to the temple with me?)
Jynzo opened his eyes as he felt the soothing feeling of the med-pack. He looked up to see a woman sitting next to him. She looked familiar.
Jynzo turned his head slightly and he found himself looking up at Cimil. Jynzo burst out laughing.
"You again. I suppose that you may be able to tickle me with that lightsaber of yours now." Jynzo gave a laughing wheeze when he saw Cimil's face grimace as he remembered how badly he lost to Jynzo. "No heard feelings, once an enemy, now a friend."
Jynzo felt his strength returning to him and he sat up. Realization struck him as he suddenly and violently started to pat himself down. He breathed a sigh of relief as he removed and undamaged, but slightly scruffed up Sumomo from his pocket. Jynzo then turned his head and shouted.
"I know your there and your fine." Jynzo shouted as Rinji removed himself from the white current and walked up to him on all 4 of his legs.
"Never be to careful." Rinji said. he pointed to cimil "He tried to kill you, remember?"

(Technically it is before but that isn't gonna work unless Janah is in one of her 'disguises' lol. I will just make sure that she is very VERY elusive about her name. Janah has a knack of looking familiar regardless, it must be that 'befriend' smuggler skill she has, hehe.)
Janah looked at the two men and judged the tension carefully.
"Well, it is obvious that you two know each other, " she began, "but I don't want to see any fighting whilst there are....." She suddenly stopped mid sentence and pulled her blaster then fired off several shots in rapid succession. A leaping hound, twice the size it should be for it's breed, fell heavily to the ground, just inches from Jynzo and Cimil.
"...more of those out there." She finished. "I think they smell the blood. More will come. There could be a building back there; I think I saw the corners of something manmade. We could find cover until you are well enough to travel, or maybe even get a pickup."
Sounds of howls echoed off the trees as the hounds co-ordinated their attack.
"Come on, we have to move!" Janah said determinedly and grabbed Jynzo's arm, indicating that Cimil should take the other. "Help me here."

|
Grudgingly Cimil obliged. He would much rather this mans head off but... he might get another chance. He grabed the arm, making sure that he pulled it just a little further the it should go.
"You only one that fight because there where three Jedi not counting You." Silently he added that he had killed two of them.

"You mean those 3 younglings?" Jynzo asked, he winced as Cimil yanked his arm. "You should feel honored, i trained them myself and you manged to defeat 2 of them."
Cimil looked at Jynzo like he had turned into a slug.
"You don't care that i killed them?" Cimil asked
"They are part of the force. Death is not the end, but another beginning." Jynzo said.
Jynzo managed to stand with the help of Gimil and Janah, and together they carried him into the woods. Rinji close behind with Sumomo on his back.

At that moment Jynzo felt a surge of hatred flood through him. It was not his own. His vision steamed over with red. Dark, horrible thoughts filled his mind. He went into a spasm. Shaking so voilently that the others dropped him. As soon as he lost contact with Cimil the darkness leaked away. He still felt weaker than he had.
"Are you okay?" Janah asked. Jynzo merely starred at Cimil.

"Ok, I have had it with you two!" Janah fumed. "Go ahead! Kill each other, insult each other to death! I am outa here!"
Cursing to herself she stormed away out of sight. Moments later there was a loud crash and a scream.

"Rinji" Jynzo shouted.
Rinji just nodded and propelled Jynzo through the air with a force push. Jynzo flew through the air and Rinji caught him through the force and landed him next to Janah. He stumbled slightly but caught himself.
"Trust me, thats not fighting." Jynzo said then they heard the scream.
Jynzo turned and started run towards the sound. But forgetting that he was not yet strong enough to run, he merely hobbled.

Cimil once again ignighted his saber and leaped toward the sound. So far his little get away had more fighting than he had hoped. Finaly he reached the souce of chaos.

"Down here!" Janah called up from where the roof had given way from years of decay and deposited her through the forest floor and into a....she pulled out a torch and played the beam of light across the floor.
The ceiling was about 20' high, too far to reach the small hole back to the forest. All around her were the remnants of an ancient lab; dried up tubes of long forgotten goo stood in their holders and a tap slowly dripped putrid water in a far corner. In the far wall there was a door and Janah vaulted herself to her feet and pulled her dripping rain cover off.
"It's some kind of lab," she called, "and there is a door. I will find a way out."

Jynzo got on his stomach and brought his head out over the hole. He peered into the darkness. A beam of light flashed at his face as Janah turned in her flashlight.
"It's some kind of lab," she called, "and there is a door. I will find a way out."
Jynzo turned and looked at Rinji. Rinji looked back at him and rolled his eyes.
"Take care of sumomo." Jynzo told Rinji. he turned to look at cimil. "I'm serious, i have no ill feeling towards you what so ever. When you are as old as I am, you don't have the urge for those feelings."
Jynzo then went back onto his stomach and his head back over the hole. He placed his hands on the edge on either side of him, then he brought his body up and balanced. He was now doing a handstand on the edge of the hole. He tilted forward slightly and still holding onto the edge, his body fell into the hole. Hanging onto the ceiling at this point, he let go and fell the 20 feet, smiling as Rinji caught him before placing him onto the ground. Jynzo walked over to Janah.
"Can't let a lady go it alone now, can I?" Jynzo said taking out his own tiny flashlight.
((Ah Jynzo, the dashing space Casanova. What woman can resist his charm...... especially when he can just use his empathy?))

"Thats very small, how do you manage?" Janah said grinning and indicating the flashlight. "Relax, I am kidding ya." She added, seeing his crestfallen face. "Come on, its this way."
"So whats the beef with you two guys anyway?" She asked curiously as they reached the door. "Isn't there enough stuff trying to..." She swung the door open and was bowled over by a large slavering and blooded hound that pinned her to the floor.

The hound pinned Janah to the ground. Without thinking, Jynzo lightsaber ignited and arced through the air. The dogs head went flying. Jynzo pushed the dog off of Janah and helped her to her feet.
"Cimil has tried to kill me on numerous occasions. He is one of the most persistent men i have met that are trying to kill me." Jynzo said "But i don't care. He is welcome as a friend or an enemy. Though his skills do need some refinement."

How many times had he tried to kill Jynzo? 11 times to be exact. He had come close a couple of times too. Now seemed to be good time to try again. reaching into his pack he withdrew a thermal detanator, and a gas grenade. In quick succesion he pulled the pins and tossed them down the hole.

Jynzo turned at the sound of a clink. He saw 2 small metal canisters sitting on the ground.
"Aw $#@!. Cimil, not with a lady present." Jynzo said.
He spun around quickly and grabbed the loose fur on the neck of the now headless dog. He wrapped his other arm around Janah's waist. Using the force of his spin and a force push, he toss the dogs body up through the hole in the ceiling and holding onto Janah, he used the spin to fall through the open door where the dog came from. As he past through the door, his not free dog throwing hand came up and grabbed the door handle. Jynzo smiled to himself as he heard the thud and the disgusting squishing sounds from the dog hitting Cimil. The spin closed the door behind Jynzo, where he rested his back against it and held onto Janah. A loud explosion from inside caused the door to buckle slightly. After the explosion, all was quiet.
"Um... You can let go now" Janah said
"Yeah, um sorry. But do you really want me to?" Jynzo grinned. He opened the door a crack. "Nice try, but that was your saddest try yet. Next time don't get a woman involved."

Cimil had left for his ship a minute or two after the genades went off. He had a few calls to make. He was pretty sure that there were a few bounty hunters that would like to know Jynzo was here.

Janah peered round the door. The room was a mess and the explosion had blocked any chance of exiting the way they had come.
"Great!" She said, unwrapping herself from Jynzo's determined arms. "Now we HAVE to go on, and I can't see your friend there running for help." She said dryly. "And as much as I would like to linger in your arms this isn't quite the romantic setting the scenario demands."
She grins at Jynzo as she stands and brushes herself down, then an idea occurs to her. Maybe this flash Jedi wants to play the gallant hero and who was she to ruin his plan and make work for herself.
"Oh no!" She said, cocking her head to one side and putting on her most vulnerable face. "How are we ever going to get out now?"

Cimil had posted a bounty on the holonet, within hours hundreds of bounty hunters would be here.

Barbados's crew had ditched him, he had one bottle or alchohal, and he was lost.
"Anybody? Is anybody out there??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is... whats this? Is anybody in here?" He looked at the buried building.
"Alaric, explore that building."

"Oh no!" She said, cocking her head to one side and putting on her most vulnerable face. "How are we ever going to get out now?"
Jynzo raised any eyebrow as he felt the smug amusement wash off of Janah. He smiled as he stood and once again took out his small flashlight. Janah once again made a small quip about it's size.
"Well, one should know" Jynzo said as he turned his side to Janah. "Its not the size, but what it can do."
Jynzo press a small button and instantly an incredibly bright light erupted from the head of the flashlight. Janah blinked a few times as her eyes adjusted to the bright light for the tiny instrument.

"So colour me impressed." She said with a smile. "Which way?"
She scanned for movement with her own flashlight, spotting chewed bodies and broken vials.
"Something went wrong here....very wrong."
Janah approached a body carefully and inspected it. There was little left but the imperial insignia on the blaster-fire stained white jacket was still identifiable.
"Hey! Check this out!" She called to Jynzo, her voice echoing off the walls.

Barbados had been wondering through the forest for three hours. His bottle of ale was half empty, some how he had lost his shirt. Exposing all seven tattoos, and a feint six pack.
"Any body? Anybody, please?" Alaric carefully followed him, ready to catch him.

"Damit." Jynzo whispered "I thought they were gone. And this place does not look that old. 4 years of abandonment, tops"
Jynzo Started to go through the pockets of the deadman. He stopped and smiled as he withdrew a Keycard from the mans coat pocket. He then walked to the door at the other end of the room.
"You coming or what?" Jynzo said as he swiped the Keycard, instantly power returned to lab. "Now that is not good."

"Uh oh! What did you do?"
The lights flickered back on and machinery whirred to life. The distruction was suddenly starkly visible, as if a wild beast had ripped it apart.
"At least we can see where we are going now, that should make things easier!"

Barbados was wondering blindly singing a favorite toon of his when fell, right through a hole. Landing with a large crash in the middle of the old lab. Lights and computer screens were stirring around him.
He quickly hopped to his feet, whipped out his blaster pistol and yelled
"Course ya for breathing you bantha fodder eating shuttas!"

The crash and following cussing behind them drew Janah's attention and she frose mid-step.
'Did you hear that?' She mouthed at Jynzo silently.
Her hand crept down her thigh and rested on her blaster, hidden under the now-drying rain poncho.

Jynzo smiled, there was only one person in the galaxy he knew of that cursed like that. The slurred speech confirmed that it was the guy as well.
"I think it's an enemy, I feel a shadow in the force." Jynzo said laughing to himself.
It was always time for a good joke.

Janah hurried over to Jynzo and grabbed his arm nervously.
"So are we getting out of here, or waiting for a stand off?" She asked, a shake in her voice. Not knowing her way out of this labyrinth really did have her spooked, doubly so now that someone was on their tail. Janah always made it her business to have an escape route ready but this time around she was out of her depth.
The door behind Jynzo shook as something impacted with it, and a low growling eminated from beyond. The door held for now, but as the impact struck again they both wondered how long it would hold.
