The Death of Billy Mayshttp://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_billy_mays
It's true. Captain Caps Lock left us today at the age of 50. TV will never be the same.

Ask the conspiracy theorists.

Not to be mean or anything, but who really cares. I mean it's a horrible thing when someone dies, but who cares he was the Oxy Clean Guy. I'm pretty sure the King of Pop trumps any celebrity that could possibly die in the recent future.

Why should you care about Michael Jackson? You never met the guy. You never talked to the guy. You've likely never seen the guy? Why should any fan care?
Logic, my boy. Logic.

Aldar Natadare

Because he made great music that our generation continues to listen to. What did Billy Mays do, make commercials and cleaning products? Why should you care about him. Logic, my boy. Logic.

Billy Mays made great commercials that we still watch. Billy Mays made art on TV through the use of cleaning products and random crap. I care because he's a true artist and didn't molest children.
If you don't understand that I'm joking, I've given up on you.

Not to mention that on Billy's show "Pitchmen", (which I admit watching) you get to know him and he seems like a fairly genuine guy.
As opposed the cryptic and outrageous life of Michael Jackson. And I hate it when people flash a surprised or outraged look when I say I don't like Jackson's music.
So, since he died and he was a 'legend', I'm supposed to love him and his music? No way.

1) Recent future? Kind of a contradiction there.
2) Billy May's social status is less than Michael Jackson's... but Mays was still a popular icon, and I personally found him more... should I say, normal and friendly than Michael Jackson, who I- with all due respect to his fans- always saw as a plastic rapist (I know he's probably not guilty of the child molestation crimes, but I've always been concerned due to those allegations).
As Rainna said, Mays was a genuinely good man. Jackson was, with the greatest attempt at being delicate with my words, an extremely strange person who probably caused his own death with his pointless intake of vast amounts of medication.

I heard from one of my friends they pulled all his ads off the air and are remaking them. If they really are, then thats just a slap in the face to him and I actually feel bad for him.

Watch. They'll replace him with the Sham-Wow guy. At least Mighty Putty worked.

Maybe the Sham-Wow guy will get his lips stuck to that Mighty Putty.

I felt pretty sad about his death personally. I never really liked the music because it wasn't modern but an X of mine listened to him religously and when I sat down and listened to his lyrics they were very deep and real world for the most part. He has some really good music, not just popular music such as Thriller. I felt bad that they were selling tickets to his funeral.... thats just cruel to the family.

Sham-Wow Guy is far too busy being arrested for that. kind of nonsense.
| Quote: | | Meet Vince Shlomi. He's probably better known to you as the ShamWow Guy, the ubiquitous television pitchman who has been phenomenally successful peddling absorbent towels and food choppers. Shlomi, 44, was arrested last month on a felony battery charge following a violent confrontation with a prostitute in his South Beach hotel room. |

Billy Mays would have made a great drug dealer.

Oh man I never considered that! he could have singled handedly destroyed america by peddling the cocaine that his blood naturally produces, but instead he let it build up inside of him, choosing to die for the place he loved!
