The Clone Wars: Episode 8 Discussion
Gah, I missed last weeks episode entirely due to Wrath of the Lich King. I had to catch this one just to see how they handled it. Since Jar Jar is obviously one of the most... controversial characters. Again, we got some interesting music choices - but far more fitting for Star Wars than the technoish music in the R2D2 episodes. Yikes, Padme's toying around with the turrets on the Twilight and now Anakin's leaving his robes lying around on Padme's ship? They sure aren't doing a very good job of hiding things, are they? 
The most annoying thing in the episode was actually Padme's overt in-your-face exposition - not Jar Jar. Paraphrased: "Hello Rodian Senator whom I call "uncle" because you were my father's strongest ally in the senate. We have been friends for that reason for many that very reason." Rodian Senator: "Ah... yes. I already knew that. Who are you talking to?" 
I did lol (well... more of a "ha!") at Jar Jar closing the ramp early and crushing the ship. Most interesting thing in the episode you might have missed: The swamp monster was based on an unused Ralph McQuarrie design most of us have probably seen (I know I have).

It was an ok ep, though, I laughed at the ship thing as well.

There's a reason Jar-Jar had only a "scuse me" in Episode 3. |
