Decided it'd be better to keep the descriptive material away from my personal opinion.

Parsecs, double-front shields, bacta tanks, gonk droids, and Y-Wings. Oh my! Lots of subtle original trilogy nods. Apparently even the chairs in the meeting room are similar to the chairs on the Death Star - I'll look for it the next time I see the episode.

Oh, and those of you that hate the silly battle droid jokes will be rather happy with this week's episode - there's only one (well, two - but the second one doesn't count, it's a classic Star Wars joke).

I still like really like Plo Koon. I especially like that he seems to agree with Anakin's methods and so do the clones - only Ahsoka didn't. I'm not wild about the Ahsoka/Anakin banter, but it's actually better than the Obi-Wan/Anakin banter in the films Laughing
I did like "That one looks hungry!" "Nah, he's just smiling at ya."

The space scenes are very well paced and the Clones dying had a definite Episode IV vibe to it. I also liked the shot just before they diverted the attack on the bridge. It made the whole ship feel very big when you're right up next to it at that odd angle. The medical station was a pretty unique looking design - the vertical docking ports were neat. And the medical cruisers with their definite blockade-runner looking designs makes another nice bridge to the original trilogy (along with the Y-Wings, of course).

Overall, I'd rank it a fair bit higher than last week. If Ambush was a 6.8 and Rising Malevolence was a 7.3 - I'd say this was a solid 8.

Padme next week. That'll be interesting. And Obi-Wan finally gets to do something besides tell Anakin "get back here!" via holograms Razz

I must say, I really enjoyed this episode. I groaned at the snips and skyguy moments, but I recovered quickly with the nice space battle!

My faith in this show has been slowly restoring, and this episode helped. The conclusion of the Malevolence series looks kinda cool, I just hope they don't blow it with Padme.

I very much doubt they'll be able to restrain themselves and do quiet moments as well as the 2D series did. So the Anakin/Padme dynamic won't feel as natural. But I also doubt they'll make it as silly as the prequels did (I don't like sand!).

Maybe they'll bring her snowbunny costume back Razz

WOW :O I got that tingling in my spine watching this episode, it was wow... The battle scenes, this is such a wonderful bridge betweent he trilogys, you got the similairties of the OT, and the techniques of the PT with the shakey cam when the fighters pass by the camera.

And did I hear a quote from biggs? by one of the clone troopers? "loosen up" ? or somin like that, can;t quite remember, havent seen ANH in ages.

But yeah flying start I say, if the season can only keep improving people will probabbly develope a soft spot in their hearts for it Very Happy

Loved the grievous moment, it seems he hates the droids as much as the fans do Very Happy

I liked it, except for Ahsoka' whiny bullcrap.

But yes, I liked Plo coming along and I'm terrified for Padme.  I hope they don't kill it in the face.

Wow I really liked this. Except the droid humour which made me bang my head once again. The "Bad feeling about this" line was so unnecesary. I like the "Smiling at you line" that made me laugh. And I finally researched the Admiral working with Anakin as I suspected it was Tarkin and wasn't far off.

And Rive, the reveal of the monsters in the fog remind you of anything? Perhaps an adventure on New Earth involving the Doctor? Wink

I had to do that to. Rather interesting to put what was originally about as backgroundy a character as you can get into such a prominent role now.

Ha, that actually fits a bit better than what it made me think of.

Spoilers for Serenity (2005)
Spoiler:

It made me think of the reveal of Serenity and the Reaver ships following it coming out of the ion cloud towards the end of the movie.

The creatures i thought were weird but eh, it's a cartoon show. It was good. I still hate Ahsoka. Confused

I don't mind Ahsoka as much, knowing that she doesn't last as Anakin's padawan gives me the hope that her end will be more dramatic when it comes about. The only thing that I liked about this episode was the reveal of the monsters of the nebula, I thought that was a beautiful sight. The rest of it didn't excite me as much as I had hoped it would. "Ambush" is still my favorite episode so far.

I am somewhat interested to see what will happen in "Downfall of a Droid" (Episode 6) now. Since apparently that episode takes place before this episode and is the episode that features Ahsoka's bad flying that made Anakin not want to let her fly in this episode. I figured it was just because of that hard right turn she made after sensing Plo Koon's presence in the previous episode.

Even if a few people seem to have liked Ambush better than this arc. I think pretty much everyone is in agreement that if they had expanded this storyline by another episode or two and put it in theaters instead of the storyline they actually used for the movie version, the movie would have been a lot better Very Happy
