Oh yeah...
Well, my impression is this:
What the hell do you do? There isn't any order to it, its all OOC except for one tiny thing, it makes me wonder why so many left DSL yet are here. The only decent thing is the forum wars, and they don't exist anymore. Sorry for like, belittling the board, but this is my impression. How do you increase in rank if you can't train or anything?

Well, TDSL and Rebels formed a perfect bond with each other. Rebels is OOC central. TDSL is big on roleplaying. Perfect together. Seperate, eh.
And Sirak, bring it.

The problem with rping and training is how fast new members and old members can go away. most of the original council isn't as active(abba isn't even active. 15 posts in a year and a half.) as they were.
Plus a lot of people who left TDSL just don't like Shadow. When saber was empress, she kept a presence here and on TDSL, and everyone was on both boards(maybe not everyone, but the admins of both sites talked and stuff.) Then Shadow became Emperor, and it all broke down.

1. People liked the sister site thing. plus, the break completely ruined the forum wars. They were supposed to be between Rebels and TDSL. Massive battles between large amounts of Jedi(rebels), and large amounts of Sith(TDSL)
2. All posts in the introductions section don't add to your post count(just like the Increase Shadow's post count(of doom) section.)
3. Glad you will stay.

To be honest, I wouldn't have thought they would work. The only way to make them work would be to have seperate threads for smaller bits of the battle. Otherwise you would have to deal with people going away, ninjaposting, people who are on all the time (like me and chris) posting...

yeah. the beauty of the internet is you can be gone for a day and then come back and be right where you are. Plus you can have multiple characters, so you won't have to be stuck.

I read some of the Forum Wars and I've heard a lot about this falling out between Rebels and TDSL. What happened? Yes, I'm a noob.

TDSL wanted dual accounts. Rebels Didn't.
That's about it. Pretty stupid to break off all connections with the other forum, but i didn't make the decision.

I had a Lord Invicta on TDSL and liked the site, but I sensed some small hostilities against Rebels, and, while I was generally liked amongst the board members, I quit when I became Lord here. I may join again some day.
Me? Mortalis- myself in a previous name thingie- ruined the board?! You weren't even active when I was Mortalis.

Welcome, I have considered joining TDSL, but I don't even know what is going on over there any more. I'm pretty deep into another site as well, it hasn't been very active for some time, but that might change soon. If it doesn't then I might do something on TDSL. Might.

Yeah. I went to TDSL, just to check it out. It'd take me too long to figure out what is happening. I'm not that smart.

I just took a look at TDSL. I don't see where you're coming from. It looks very similar to here. There's 2 roleplays active and 2 or 3 stories active. The vast majority of the activity is Ducki and Shadow talking back and forth in the Chat Thread.
Also, to answer your question: Rebels is more about stories than personal characters. Out-of-character personality and knowledge is more important than in-character training.
Beyond that, the only difference is that Shadow gets to play out his power fantasies there whilst we're a fair bit more communist here.

It basically occurred in 6 stages.
1. Rebels wanted people to have 1 account name across TDSL and Rebels.

I don't know, Rive. I've never been one to disagree with your cleverness, but if it's a different forum, partners or not, people should have the right to make a new account if they want to. But, I wasn't there and that's a different discussion entirely.

There seemed to be no point to being "sister sites" if we didn't have rules that reinforced that fact. Now we're separate and people can do precisely that.
It's rather irrelevant now. Ducki and Shadow are basically the only members still there from the pre-split era that aren't also here.

Shadow split the sites while we were planning the forum war. If I remember correctly.. The Jedi Council (Dakoth and Xander) wanted to do something and the Sith (Shadow) didn't like it. I think he made it as a threat and the Jedi were like "Ok fine if you wanna be like that" and ya..

I don't know. We have a strong OOC. You guys have stron roleplaying. I don't think one will ever surpass the other. Phpbb3 isn't really that different at the core of it.

That's why the Rebels hid a base there.

For two sites which have around 450 members, it is amazing that only 30 ish are still active on DSL. I don't know about here. If you have questions about Orders, PM me. Discussing it here could cause... complications.
