StorylineI have an idea that should make it easier to roleplay. We should create a storyline of all the things in chronological order that are canon to the site in order to know threats, battles, and history of the site. I know the site doesn't have an exact time that it's in right now but if someone makes a good roleplay you can add it in the storyline whenever it takes place.

you know, I remember there was a timeline. it was good, but anakin sorta screwed it up.

The timeline is fine but it's not what I'm talking about, the storyline would be like a story of what happened on the site including wars, important people, important battles, what happened in the galaxy, stuff like that.

Wait what? I just love how he comes out of nowhere and says junk.
P.S. The Jedi and Sith Councils are already planning something in the near future that is going to be the roleplaying along in a story-like fashion.

yeah, sure junk. Brian made one that you sort of spammed and ruined.

No bud you got the whole story wrong, I did spam or ruin Brian's timeline, I simply added stuff in, he didn't want it, end of story.

The problem becomes, Kisuk, when people contradict known elements on the storyline, and complain that theirs is a better idea, but can't work because of someone elses more dodgy RP.

I agree with this idea. I al ready made a non-cannon rp that I might want to make cannon and put on the timeline.

Why don't we do this, every other day counts as a week and every week counts as a month? That ways we establish a time system and in the announcements thing there can be a sticky saying what year, what month, what week and what day. Then official RP's that will be recorded as canon must be approved by 75% through both the Jedi and Sith councils.

Use what the majority wants. If the majority wants to do it, then do it, if they don't then don't but it's a good idea because right now everything is kind of scrambled. I think that there needs to be more canon Rps around here, if people can't make ideal canon RPs then assign them as the Council sees fit but we NEED something of a storyline of the past so we can base all our stuff off of that. Like I'm sure a lot of people know the Outer Rim Sieges by the Sith but new members don't know about it since it isn't posted anywhere except in a fanfic but there's no archives of the event to let everyone know.

I dunno....
Also having a precise "real time" gets a little complicated with the issue of inactiveness. If no one is on for a few days, then timing can get mucked up.
Also, how would that work for RPs?

Anakin

Meh I say the RPs, the ones completed that is, are counted canon and put into the timeline and the story progresses, if the RP never finishes, it doesen't get into the timeline. Or at least portions do.
That doesen't mean we can't have non-canon RPs where impossible things can happen.

Well, I'd like to start an Rp after I get through on Boz Pity in my fic. And, I'd like to explore the Leon/Korag Master/Apprentice thing in a Rp sometime. I like this idea Kolar, it's "very nice."

What I mean is how Butler said that every two days on the forum would be a "day" in the Universe, and we could progress with a real time like that. Sometimes RPs go days without posting in. Doesn't that mean that days should pass in the RP between me standing opposite you with my lightsaber lit and you leaping at me to start fighting?

Anakin

Thats going to be like impossible though cause' we always have to way on the RPs to progress the story so we should just wait intill RPs are finished, then this is added to timeline canon if its feasable.

My idea wasn't the time thing. Like Anakin said, if the RP get's finished and is reasonable, it should be placed in the storyline. Time doesn't really matter, in the RP, you state the time period and if it works and the roleplay is finished it can be placed within the storyline. To make it easier on the time thing, every month can be a year; that easy enough? But we should put at time because of the inactivity. I say don't worry about it. My idea is that we need to get a storyline, time doesn't really matter and the Council can choose the storyline, all I'm saying is that we need one and if we do have one it needs to be posted somewhere and I don't mean the timeline or a new timeline with the events, battles, wars listed.

So...hm...this idea is still an idea
