Stories of Zhett DiscussionJust likely a one-shot at this stage, just hadn't written anything in a while. May make more detailing other adventures of his in the Clone Wars, a la my three first person stories from Vos's mother's perspective.

This is Frontlines. Not Frontline. Note the S!
I mean, you wouldn't call Alien and Aliens the same movie. Would you?

Sirak Sazen

Yeah but Aliens sucked.

Due to Sirak disparaging the name of a classic Sci-Fi movie in the top 250 movies on IMDB, Rebels has chosen to disassociate itself with...
Anyway, I'll read this later tonight, Korus.

It's widely thought of as one of the only sequels better than the original...
And about the titles, had no idea honestly, just thought it worked as a Clone Wars-ish title. Been watching too many episodes of that show lately.

Guess it wasn't a one shot. Felt a creative urge today.

Gah, you changed the thread title!
I opened that thread and said to myself: "Wait, did he seriously just write 2 complete chapters of a story in this tiny amount of time? Good heavens! I can hardly get out one chapter per month "

Didn't seem right to keep the first short story's title as the thread.

Hm, pretty interesting, I like the first person perspective, although I find its hard to write extended stories in it. Only thing I can criticize is your need of a theasurusrsurusrusursurusarurauas in the first mini chapter. You said struggling like 9 times during the fight.

Probably true, I didn't fine comb the stories, thought it better just to get down what I was thinking/feeling about them and post them.

I've only read the first post, but it was a good beginning. I thought the fist fighting was a little out of place. Three ARC Troopers with huge guns and heavy guns are gonna run when one of their guys starts fighting? I mean, I know they're clones, but they're not that cowardly. I thought they would've opened fire the moment they saw an enemy.
Other than that, great start.
EDIT: I also liked the way made it feel in the first few paragraphs, before they started the attack. It made me feel like I was playing CoD and I was about to storm the beaches of Normandy or something. Which I liked.

The ARC's were implied to have run away because Korus jumped to that conclusion, but then when Mandalore made an announcement to retreat because they were being pushed back, I thought it was clear that was because all Clones had gone to help stop them destroying the cloning material.
It's just short stories, so it's not really a beginning, they're just random tales of Korus' time in the Clone Wars.

But wouldn't the troopers at least try to kill the guys they had in front of them, then go help?
|
Darth Acheron

Except for the fact that by Mandalorian honour, two representatives of the group entered into unarmed contact, with the losing side submitting to the winners. Or at least that's what I've gathered from stuff I've read.

See? I didn't know that. That makes sense.
But, to be honest, it wasn't my fault that I didn't know, it was, however, your fault that that part wasn't explained better...no offense. For the readers that haven't delved too deeply into the SW lore, it's usually common courtesy to add those little tidbits in there so you don't completely lose them when something out of place happens.

I guess, it was more something I did internally and just the whole 'they dissapeared. Mandalore said they were being repelled' suggested that all forces were being focussed there, sorry.
Like I think I said earlier, these stories are essentially very rough, just ideas formed about Korus that I wrote and published without much editting.
If you want to read stuff I put a lot more time into, check out the DE thread in this forum which has links to all the various stories I did revolving around that project.

Yeah, I know how that can be when writing.
I'm not saying it was bad, just, you know...discussing your fanfiction.
Yeah, I've read a little of it. I don't usually have time to sit and read, or I'm just lazy and let it slip.

Well most chapters of the actual Destiny Eclipse are segmented so you can essentially read them on their own.
|
Talen D'aar
|
Well, if I have the time and get the inclination, I'll start up on that.
I've actually been thinking up my own fanfic, so if I ever get up the nerve to sit down and churn it out, I'd love to have a discussion about it too.

Darth Acheron

What would it be about? Set when?

About Talen, a member of the Zeison Sha, who's search for a friend and fellow Zeison Sha'en(?) who's turned to the dark side, leads him to a secret Sith Temple on Yanibar. On the way though, he meets two Jedi, Master Inon Ziir and his Padawan Loerik, who are also investigating the whereabouts of a Sith Temple. Although Talen is less than thrilled to be working with them, he agrees and they head inside, where they find that a Sith Lord and his Apprentice, both of which the party knows, are growing an ancient means to combat the Jedi.
I hadn't decided time, thinking in the future, past the actual timeline or something, I don't know. Just a rough outline.

Sounds good. Better than that hunk of junk I wrote. I just read through it and kind of remembered what was supposed to hapen. Jacen would take one of those two random people born as his Apprentice, whilst the other would train with Jaina, and eventually the Aprentice would be come Emperor, after Jacen and Jaina die, and they would fight each other.
Woo... Also the 1000 SDs?! Destroying hangar bays to beat Coruscant... Curses! Why didn't Thrawn think of that! And rays in a ship that can take out an SD in a flash... Right...

I'm sure you thought it was the bee's knees back in the day.

I thought it was going to be this epically long trilogy...
Oh and Hothrier, the Grand-Son of Hothrir from The Crystal Planet... I think? Original name.

I'm guessing this is also discussion for your first fanfic. It's not bad at all for your first.

I thought starting a new thread for it would be pointless.

Good call.

I'm thinking I'll write one more of these to cap it off, and then move on to the time period where Thrawn takes Coruscant and splits our time line from the real one. Since I've finished Invincible - am now reading Death Star, quite a good read - I can move on to the Thrawn trilogy to get a better idea of the SW universe at that time to write the story.
