Siege of Falleen

In 43 ABY, the planet Falleen has been taken control of by a splinter group of Sith who plan to overthrow the current Sith Order. The Jedi have been called to action by the Republic, but unknown to them, the Sith have dispatched their own to deal with the problem.

Will their be confrontations between the Jedi and Sith? Will the splinter group succeed in their coup d'etat? What will happen to the native Falleen?

The last five years had not been good for Leon Danex. He had been a Sith, and he'd killed a lot of people. Having returned to the Jedi Order was the right thing in the end, but many were still cautious around him. Hell, he would be too, but that didn't mean it was a good thing. He was now a Jedi Knight, but he sometimes didn't feel like it. Mostly, he was worried that he would slip back into the darkness.

Is that not why he was here? To prove not only to the Jedi, but to himself as well, that he was a follower of the light. He was one of the Jedi who'd personally received the message from the planetary government of Falleen. That's why he was on his way there, to try and stop this rogue group of Sith. It would be far more difficult than he ever imagined.
Lord Invictus

"OPEN FIRE!" screeched the unit commander as the medium-sized Sith force entered the upper atmosphere. Below them one of the few semi-disputed Falleen cities- now under chaos by rebel Sith and actual rebels fighting eachother amidst the Sith invasion- was raging with battle.

Falleen was a jewel, and while the Republic claimed to be bringing justice and safety to the planet under seige, it was obvious it was desired for economic benefits. The newly dubbed "Darth Invictus" was sure that a Republic invasion was soon to follow, if it hadn't already taken place.

A mid-sized army of Sith greens were sent to take the city. It wouldn't be as difficult as one would imagine. By allying themselves to the Falleen rebels the Sith could turn the tide of the miniscule war and take the planet without an actual invasion force. They could solidify themselves, if not as government, at least as allies of the new Falleen regime.

Invictus veered to the left, blasting an artillary gun off its tower-balcony-mounted position. The balcony fell apart, crashing into the chaotic streets below. After several minutes of skirmish, the Sith leader spoke.

"Meet outside the southeast end of the city toward the plains and forest. Set upt a camp there and send in artillary barages. Perhaps we can engage the rebels in negotiation by the end of the day."

Leon watched as a number of snub fighters sped through the area, blasting anything they could target. He didn't have time to get to his Delta-7, so he did the next best thing.

"Come down here would you." He mumbled, extending his hand and using the Force to pull one of them out of the sky. It crashed into the ground, exploding instantly. Concentrating again, he pulled another one down. This one didn't explode, and he sensed that the pilot was still alive.

The problem? This pilot was a Force-user, and he was bathed in the darkside. "This just got more interesting." Leon pulled his lightsaber from his belt, activated it, and prepared for a fight.
Lord Invictus

((You pulled a ship down? Seriously  Razz  ))

Invictus gently lowered his ship to the ground as he felt the tug of a force user on it. The vessel streamed gently down the fields for a few moments, then ignited in a tower of flame.

By this time, of course, Invictus was out the side of the vessel crushing the engines into them selves. As the metal imploded the ship blew apart in an epic explosion of titanic proportions.

Invictus- a somewhat experienced soldier- cloaked himself in the force before sneaking toward the woods ((that's where you are, right? I mean, I could probably sense from where such a strong force current is coming from....))

(No, I wasn't in the woods. But I can manage it. Hey, I'm a Knight remember. Besides, they're just small fighters, like an X-Wing. I'm sure anyone who is Knight level in power could do it. Razz )

Leon waited patiently for the darksider to come near, planning to ambush him. Sensing that he was close, Leon jumped from behind the tree and aimed for the stranger's neck with his saber.

The green grass of Falleen was singed as Darth Archeus landed his ship outside of the city. It seemed a peaceful day until the reports of attack came in. Enemies were everywhere. The Sith wanted to destroy the Sith rebels. The Republic wanted it for their own selfish needs. The natives wanted it so that they may further pollute it with their naive ideals. But Archeus, he wanted it as his base for the new genesis of the Galaxy. War was inevitable.

As the Sith stepped out of his ship, he was greeted by a general in his militia, a human in his late thirties. "Sir, attacks have been made on the city by the Sith. We have only a small number of troops in the city. Recon reports indicate the Sith may be basing their attack out of the forest. Orders?"

"Burn the forest," he replied in a harsh tone. "Send the squadron to attack the enemy at their camp. Order our forces out of the city. Let them come to us." Archeus glanced at the militia leaders gathered around him. The militia was formed by soldiers hand-picked by Archeus and his generals from all across the Galaxy. Even Falleen loyal to the Sith rebels had joined.

Another General approached him, this one a Zabrak. "We have another problem, sir. Falleen rebels have attacked on of our outposts about 10 miles west of here." The thought shook around within Archeus's twisted mind.

The Falleen have betrayed us, as my Lord predicted. They must be destroyed or all will be lost. "Generals, follow me to the outpost. Bring your troops. This will end now!"
Lord Invictus

Hearing the rustle in a bush as Leon hopped out, Invictus twisted around, shoving a ball of force energy toward the attacking foe. In his haste, Invictus hadn't controlled it well enough, and sent both the Jedi and himself flying in opposite directions.

Leon was dragged across the muddy and grassy ground, colliding with a small ledge from which he recovered. At the same time, Invictus was shot back into a large tree, his back cracking loudly as it smacked the bark.

Without his ordinary body armor (which covered his face) Invictus' veil sheathing his eyes flew back, revealing them to his foe. The recovering Leon gasped as he saw the non-human, glowing, white orbs glance at him with deep malice.

Invictus could smell the smoke of fire burning wood just beginning nearby- he wasn't too far from the Sith camp. The Sith ignited his blade, charging with hate-inspired precision at the Jedi before him.
Anakin

(I'm not going to lie, all this inter-fighting is a bit confusing but, uh, Imma try my best.)

-ORS Imperial II Star Destroyer, Ex Nihilio, outskirts of Falleen Space-

Anakin didn't need to squint his eyes to see the tiny dots of erupting light and explosions that seemed to be rapidly erupting in the upper atmosphere of Falleen.

Finally, something interesting. He stroked his hand through his short, spiky hair, that even though he didn't want to admit it, was starting to grey. He was reaching his mid-forties, very faint wrinkles were forming under his eyes, but other than that, his youth was still glowing.

He reclined back in the command command on the bridge of the Ex Nihilio, the clicks and beeps of consoles and monitors hummed in the background as the countless members and crew of the bridge silently did their job. The Syndicate had come a long way since its formation almost two decades ago; its criminal and mercenary military soldiers had become hardened and after years of border wars, were very experienced.

Twice was the experience and stoicism was gained for the ORS Navy, their ships, like this one, adorned with dark yellow stripes down in hull, and the infamous skull that had come to represent the dictatorship.

His men were always ready, for anything. So when his bribed smuggler scouts caught this on their radar two weeks earlier, it was expected for him to personally evaluate the situation and what type of advantages could from controlling this planet.

I say the word, and half the fleet comes in.
