I think that our site should get into a role playing war with a sith site. The war can either be held on this site, their site, or a neutral site. I know of many sites that would not mind going to an RP war with the Jedi, and I have three or four forums that are dead that I own, so we could use those if needed. If you say yes to this than I will need to speak with a high member to give them greater detail.

No, bad idea. We RP here against Sith and stuff, and how would the war work? Would each site get certain planets? How would be choose who wins an RP? How do we make it fair? How does one site "win"? Too many questions making it to hard.

Methinks this is a subtle way of trying to advertise your site.

No the war would be hard to find a victor but other than that your questions are easily answered.

Each site would get a certain number of planets, decided by the two representives and a neutral, and you would get them in a draft.

As for who wins the RP that will be decided by a neutral party, who will be chosen by the two sites. They must agree on the person and pick someone that they both feel will be fair.

The war will take about two or three weeks to work all the stuff out but it will not be that hard.

But what I mean, is in each RP, how do the people who are RPing go about? If they kill someone from the opposite site it'd be seen as god-modding, and if they don't acheive anything then it takes a long time and doesn't get anywhere. What do you propose?

I thought it was simple... If someone from one side "kills" someone from the other side, that person will complain about god-modding no matter how fierce the duel. If no one ever wins, it'll go on forever. What do you propose to do to find a compromise between the two?

Exactly. Like I said three times, there will be neutrals that are not on either site, or that are on a site but will swear to be fair. This will all be decided by the three representitives of the sites (one for each site.) When the war is close to the end the representitves will meet again, discuss the outcome of all the battles, and than decide which site wins. If they can not come to a decision than the war will continue.

But they are in place to STOP bad behaviour, not determine the winner of the duel. If that is their job, there would be no point duelling, as they could just decide the winner before hand.

You do not have any faith in anything do you? These people would determine the outcome of the duel after a certain period of time based on the duel. They would post who wins and let that person deal the final blow. All this is worked out in my head and will be discussed with the representitives. I have thought this all out before posting here about it, and I have most of the kinks worked out.

I do have faith in things, but this kind of thing will either succeed, but die quickly, or fail because it wasn't thought out properly. I am just trying to make sure it IS thought out properly so it WON'T fail.

I will volunteer space on my forum for the use of large-scale cross roleplays between the two sites should anyone be willing to join (they would of course receive the status Sith Heretic as we refuse to recognize Jedi) but we would make rank notes that they are Jedi Master, Jedi Knight, etc.

I think it would be a beneficial exchange and would be interested to help plan the concept should someone from Rebels (ideally those I deal with on a semi-day-to-day basis) contacts me.

@ Xander- Well I have thought it out properly, and I will answer any more questions that you have.

@ Shadow- If you are going to have a war with someone than you must accomidate them. If you refuse to work with them and grant them titles then they are not going to want to come. It is a sort of mutual thing, and you will need to accomidate them for the war.

I'm sorry, are you Shatterpoint, SkywalkerAndVader, Dork of Mordork or Jedi Abba?

A few points:

I am offering accomodations. Instead of leaving them as Sith Heretics, they would be recognized by their status without a rank picture as officially Jedi are enemies of the Sith of the forum that has been created.

It's not my concern if they come or not, I'm offering the space for them to do it, not my undying passion for the idea.

Yeah, just because you proposed the idea, you can't immediately assume you know what everyone here would like to happen. I would be fine with the rank Sith Heretic, as that makes sense.

As long as here they are labelled as Dark Side Slaves, or something similar for the duration of the RP. Razz

I do not assume that Xanos. I was just saying that would not be good if you did that. Yes they may be Sith Heretics, but still they should be recognized for why. It is up to the Council here to decide what forum they want and all that IF they even want to do this.

And as Shadow said, they would be. It doesn't mean they get given an entire rank for them.
