Rank Image ConversionThe response seems to be positive this time around, so unless there are major objections here - we'll go forward with this.
I'll try to post one or two per day - so hopefully if I make a dire mistake, it'll be caught before it propagates to other rank images in the series.

Hope the Council Member ranks get a redo soon, I believe they're some of the oldest ranks, and so quite poor in quality.

Lot's of posts incoming, I hope - doing a marathon of Battlestar Season 3 (which I intended to do last week before the new season started, but I didn't get time) and editing together a lot of the rank images while doing so.
This was certainly one of the worse ones of the old rank images, the image of Obi-Wan is way too brightness shifted. The blacks look grey.

The colors in the new one seem to be darker, as if you went in the opposite direction of the original by removing too much light.

You're right - sort of - I've actually brightened that image a bit, because it was taken from the dark scene inside the cantina. I may try to find a brighter image of him overall or try to brighten that one a bit more.

If you don't mind my saying so, Obi looks a bit poorly cut out, particularly along the right side of the neck, and the shoulder areas. Not that I could have done any better though. So good job  Personally though, I love the new Mace rank pic

If you're talking about the third version... Look again. He's wearing a hood. I didn't touch the neck at all.

Well they're fairly new, and I'd say it'd be up to Pectoris - he made the originals didn't he? - to update them if he wanted. I don't really see any problem with them - well, not to the extent of the Jedi ranks at any rate.
I like the second one Rive - as in the first of the two altered ones.

Right, it's really up to Pectoris and Embeion.
Pectoris's main option I suppose would be to increase the width of his current style by the 15 or so pixels this new style allows for - hopefully he still has the Photoshop/GIMP files that would make that a fairly easy task task.
I'm personally not overly interested in updating the Sith ranks to my own style, since a large portion of the Sith ranks use video game and comic book characters (out of necessity) and I don't think my style suits that very well.

Well I can change yours back now, since it's not changing.
There's only a few Jedi ones left to do - so I'll hold off on converting those until I've finish the whole series.

Theres going to be problems with the sith ranks. Old computer was used for it, and well that has the PSD stuff on, and i wiped the computer. :/

2 versions of this one, since the picture I realized that Obi-Wan looked a bit... greasy in the image of him I redid the first time.
All of them... so I can see which ones I'm still missing.

You may notice that the rank and degree number is wrong - that's intentional.
It previously went
Knight 1: Episode 2 Anakin
Knight 2: Episode 3 Anakin
Knight 3: Episode 2 Obi-Wan
Knight 4: Episode 3 Obi-Wan
I've decided the switching it up to Ani/Obi/Ani/Obi is a bit more interesting.

We'll continue to allow Council Members to select one of the Jedi Council members from the films to use in their rank image if they wish - but I wanted a nice default image better than Plo Koon

In fact, Jolee was SO awesome that I accidently marked him as Rank XIII (13) in the old ranks - two ranks higher than he actually was

Dork of Mordork did these two - characters switched because I like Mira and Atton more than Juhani and Bao'dur. Even if Mira was really hard to get to become a Jedi

Now that I'm more experienced with cutting - I'd certainly do my part.
Ah... in a few weeks... theses hours of cutting out images (even if it was softened by watching Battlestar DVDs) had burned me out on GIMP for a bit
Oh, and Butler. I think I fixed what you were talking about on the Padawan redux.

Great job Rive... if only we found a way for the Sith ranks to once again rule the galaxy, and be redone. But I don't mind having the old Sith ranks. I guess I'll just have to suffer.
