Opportunity Seldom Trips Twice - my first rp((ok, this is my first try. I hope the intro's not too long ...))It was summer in Khoonda. The breeze rustled through the long grass of the plains as warm sunlight filtered down through the Blba tree at the edge of the settlement. Aicataros sat cross-legged with her back against the trunk, her eyes fixed on the dismantled lightsaber hilt in her hands. Cat had managed to steal a few hours to quietly work on her latest hobby, the pair of lightsabers given to her last week by her adoptive father, Joba. They had belonged to her parents and after much debating, Joba had finally allowed her to have them. Her parents were Jedi and they had died so long ago that she couldn’t remember them. These curious weapons were her only link to them. If only she could get them to work! “Ok” she breathed, twisting the beam generator back into place. She turned it on. Nothing. “Come on, work!” She smacked it lightly against her thigh. A faint purple flicker sluggishly ignited. Aikcataros threw her hands up in victory just in time to see it short out again. Exasperated, she huffed loudly and leant her head back against the tree. Maybe the power cell’s faulty or maybe, with the way the hilt curves, everything isn’t aligned perfectly ... maybe I have no idea what I’m doing. Cat bent her head, her long auburn hair falling over her face as she looked at her hands thinking. Pushing her hair back over one should, she lifted her gaze and saw a distant Kinrath scampering over a rock. Her fingers drummed on her knee as she considered going down to the river to look for crystals washed out of the caves further up stream. Sighing, she was about to gather her things and get up when a long shadow cast over her. Startled, her head whipped up. “Aikataros, what are you doing?” It was Joba. Giving the Ithorian a crooked smile, she tilted her head to the side “Not allot.” Joba looked at the parts strewn on the ground around Cat. “You are too bold. I told you no one should see you with these.” he said as sternly as he could muster. Cat stood up dusting the dirt off her tunic “There’s no one here, Joba. You worry too much.” “I have noticed that you have lost your focus.” Joba bent to help her pack up. “The work I give you is not enough and your mind quickly strays to other things.” “If you’re worried about that cargo of ... what was it? Some plant ...” Cat trailed off. “Seeds.” Joba nodded. “Yes. Well, I haven’t forgotten. That merchant ship isn’t due here for a couple of hours, and when it’s here, I’ll be there, Ok?” She raised her eyebrows emphatically. Joba shook his head “No, this is not my meaning. Maybe you should work for Tuin at the catina. He keeps asking me. I believe he likes you.” Cat looked at him incredulously “He’d like me to dance around half n@ked!” Joba looked at her “How is this different?” Cat put her hands on her hips, unsure if he was ridiculing her provocative taste in clothing or genuinely perplexed. “This” she said gesturing to herself “Is not half n@ked. It’s just ... tight.” “Is it not human custom, you attract a mate with displays of flesh?” He retorted in reference to her low cut corset. “I’m not working at the catina.” she said flatly. “Then you must find something else to occupy your mind.” “I have.” Cat picked up the other lightsaber. “But you wont let me take these somewhere to have them looked at.” before Joba had a chance to reply, she turned towards the plains “I’ll be back for the shipment.” Joba watched her walk off through the long grass and looked up at the tree. If they were alive, she would have been trained. That would have brought her peace. So sad it is not to be. |

Jynzo had just arrived In Khoonda, he was planning on having some fun before he went to work. Jynzo was Walking down a pleasant dirt road on his way to town. The air was clean, the sky blue, the sounds of nature abounded. It was a wonderful place to be. Sumomo was riding on Rinji's back and seemed to be having the time of her life. Rinji was jumping and dashing from side to side giving sumomo a roller coaster ride memory she would never delete. Jynzo smiled as he watched the 2 playing. As he watched the 2 dashed to the left, and as Jynzo watched he saw a glint of metal from the corner of his eye. He stopped walking and cocked his head slightly to the left. There was a girl sitting on the ground, a sort of humorous anger seemed to flow from her. Jynzo smiled slightly as he heard the girl complain, not with spoken words but in her mind her frustration built slightly. Jynzo watched as a faint flicker of light seemed to come from no where then disappear. This caused him to pay slightly more attention to the girl. The only thing that could be is a lightsaber, a broken lightsaber, but a lightsaber none the less. Jynzo saw an Ithorian come over a hill and walk over to the girl, he watched as the conversed. After a few minutes the Ithorian walked away and the girl looked back at her hands. Jynzo was surprised they did not notice him, he turned to look at Rinji. "Are you hiding us?" Jynzo asked "Yep" Rinji replied "Well stop it" Jynzo said as he felt something rise off his shoulders. Jynzo jumped over the hedge that divided the road from the field and walked towards the mysterious girl. "Oy!" Jynzo called The girl gave a small yelp. |

Cat heard someone yell in her direction and jumped as she checked the lightsabers were safely in her satchel. Unsuccessfully attemping to appear unsuspicious, she looked aprehensively over at the tall figure moving towards her. "...hi" she said as nonchalantly as she could manage. |

"Whats in your bag? well, i guess that sounds like im robbing you" Jynzo laughed. "I was standing over there and i thought you had something interesting. Would you mind if i saw it?"
The girl gave an uneasy look to Jynzo, he noticed this and released a calming feeling. He gave a reassuring smile. |

Suddenly she felt relaxed. Perhaps he was just curious. While she knew she'd never seen anyone who looked so ... well, RED. There was something somehow familar about him and maybe she'd seen him around but couldn't quite remember.
This is how you get yourself into trouble! Realising she was just standing there thinking, Cat smiled back at him "Uh, it's just some old droid parts I salavaged." Good save, idiot. |

"Oh, Do they work. I saw you looked a little frustrated, i can have a look at them for you im pretty handy" Jynzo said.
He did not want to trick her into showing him the lightsabers, but he would if he had to. He released another calming wave, this time with a hint of trust. |

Thinking of Joba's warning, she bit her lip.
Come on, what could happen? "Actually ... " she reached into her bag "They're some kind of uh ... energy weapon." Cat handed them over cautiously and looked inquisitively him. Nice of him ... cute too. |

Jynzo watched as The girl took out the item.
"I was right" Jynzo thought as he reached out and took the lightsabers from the girl's outstretched hands. Jynzo sat on the ground and placed the lightsaber in front of him. He picked it up and looked at it closely. Nothing was wrong on the outside. He flicked the switch and nothing happened. Jynzo slowly opened it. The girl seemed uneasy as he did this. He inspected the inside components. "Tell me, what do you thing these are for?" Jynzo said pointing to the crystal in the blade. "Well...um..." The girl muttered. Jynzo just smiled. He completely removed the crystal. The girl protested loudly, but Jynzo managed to quiet her down. "Look here" Jynzo pointed again to the crystal "This is the problem" There was a large crack running down the side of the crystal. "With out a focused beam, the emitter has nothing to..well.. emit" Jynzo said laughing. The girl gave an uneasy smile. "How do you know that?" The girl asked "Oh, i pick things up. Lets see if i can get this to work." Jynzo said as he reached behind him. He produced A long bar of what looked like plain metal. Jynzo mentally flipped the switch and the Silver blade thrummed to life. The girl, who was leaning over Jynzo to watch what he was doing, fell back and stared at the silver beam of energy. Jynzo smiled and turned the blade off. He opened the hilt and took out one of his crystals. Carefully inserting it into the hilt the girl gave to him, he slowly closed the hilt. Jynzo stood and helped the girl up off the ground. He handed the lightsaber to the girl and took a step back. "Give it a whirl" Jynzo said. |

Smiling brightly she took the saber in her right hand, carefully pointing it down away from him, she switched it on. With a hum the lightsaber came to life and promptly scorched the grass at her feet "Oh!" she laughed apologetic and smacked her boot on the ground puting out the flames. Stepping back, she lifted the saber and stared at the beam for a moment. Flicking her wrist, Cat twirled it, half expecting to take off her fingers but there was something natural about the motion. It felt like a dance. Fluid and synchronised, she moved with the lightsaber as one. She stopped and looked at him. Switching it off, Cat came back over to him and threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. "Thank you!" she gushed, then stopped herself and pulled back. Having no idea what he was, Cat hoped she hadn't offended him. |

"He hooked another one" Rinji snickered "HOOKED HOOKED HOOKED" Sumomo danced. "Sumomo, I will Magnitize you if you dont stop" Jynzo said "Were your parents Jedi? Your ability to wield that blade shows you have some connection to the force. And im sorry, but i will need my crystal back. If you come with me... We can get you your own." "Psst, didn't we have a job here?" Rinji whispered "No, i just wanted to go to a decent cantina." Jynzo smiled. Jynzo turned his attention back to this girl. A girl who was about to make a life changing decision. |

Her mouth fell open the moment he said 'jedi'.
Oh no, now you've done it! She fumbled with the hilt, pulling the crystal out and quickly giving it back. Cat looked around nervously, checking if anyone could see them. "Look, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, because I am -" She start to walk backwards. Oh Force, what if he's a Sith?! "But you can't just go around saying things like that. At least not here. Now I know you're not local because if you were, you'd know that Jedi aren't particularily welcome around here and" she was begining to stammer. "and ... and I don't know how you know, but if anyone found out my parents were jedi - " She stepped back, lost her footing and fell back. "Ahh!" She glared at the sky, annoyed with herself and sat up. "Dam it!" |

Jynzo leaned back and smiled. The girl seemed to rise into the air by no obvious means, she looked a little scared as she was set back on the groud standing.
"Im not a sith if thats what your wondering" Jynzo said smiling The girl had a shocked look. "Im glade you can tell im not from around here. I know what people are like to Jedi, I can take care of my self. And it seems you have a new friend." Jynzo laughed again. Sumomo was climbing the pant leg of the girl as she was standing. The 16 centimeter high droid Reached the girls shoulder and sat down, Sumomo smiled. "Sorry about that" Jynzo said as he reached over and plucked the droid from the girls shoulder. Jynzo face changed dramaticly as his expression became serious "Now, i can give you time to decide. Think over it hard. You can live a normal life here, of be a Jedi. Think about it. What would your parents want, what would your friends want. But think about this, what do you want." Jynzo straightened up. His eyes focused on this girl. |

Khoonda could not sustain her and Joba knew she would leave. Joba ... "Oh! The seeds!" she exclaimed "Walk with me." Cat hurried back to the road "Sorry, I have to be somewhere but it'll only take a minute!" |

Jynzo shrugged to Rinji and they followed the girl to the dirt road. She turned and walked down the road. "I have a funny feeling" Rinji said "Funny?" Jynzo replied "Something is going to happen, it always does" Jynzo smiled and followed This mysterious girl, he did not have any real care in the Galaxy. This is how life should be, sudden and inconsistent. |

"Hey, " she briefly turned back "Where are we going? I mean, after I take care of this?" Though she never said it, Aicataros had already decided she was going to take a leap of faith here, but enjoyed making others a little confused just to see how they are off-balance. Or maybe you already know what I'm thinking ... ah no fun! Looking to the little animal, the droid and back to the red guy, she smiled. Cat wondered if they knew how funny a little group of friends they looked. She was temped to pat ... whatever it was but knew that looks can be decieving, and animals can be very aggressive if frightened. Joba had imbued her with a sense of care towards creatures and plants that others in Khoonda had considered her a little odd for a human. Goodbye, Blba tree. |

"Well, im gona make a few stops first. I will tell you the destination of the temple in a more... secure location" Jynzo said as he saw the girl look at Rinji. "Go ahead, he wont bite. He's a Kushiban and a good friend to have in a tight situation."
Jynzo followed the girl to a store room filled with a large amount of boxes. "You need to load all of these on a ship, don't you?" Jynzo said as he raised an eye brow. |

((Zsaber, the fact remains that she is training to be a Jedi, and you are a Grey Jedi, therefore unable to teach her the full extent of the Jedi Order. I'd be happy to participate in the RP as perhaps the Jedi who then decides which Jedi Master to train you once you reach the Temple, but I'm not really up to taking on another Apprentice, too many already. ))

Cat noticed the way Rinji looked at her and realised he was sentient. Thank the Force I didn't refer to him as a pet! She looked up at the stack of boxes "The joys of import and export!" she declared jokingly at her new friend. Cat crossed the room and picked up the Cargo Itinerary tablet. Scrolling down, she signed her name. "Oh, that reminds me - " she looked up and grinned warmly "I'm Aicataros. Cat for short." Cat called to a Astromech droid "Can you give me a hand here?" "Beep! Buzzzz beep" the droid protested, but began helping anyway. |

Jynzo walked into the shed and removed his coat. He draped it over a chair and went to stand by Cat. |

"Just out on the landing pad near that cargo ship." She gestured with a head tilt, her arms full as she walked outside. After dropping the box, Cat turned back to him "A Jedi doing manual labor?" She exclaimed in mock surprise "Can't you 'force' everything?!" She laughed and threw a box at his head. |

The box flew at his head, it stopped a few inches from his face then turned around and landed gently on the landing pad.
"Well, i thought since Jedi are not really welcome here if someone saw me use the force i could get in trouble. But if you insist." Jynzo smiled as several of the boxes lifted off the gorund. Jynzo extended his hand towards the landing pad. The boxes flew towards it and stopped Suddenly, gently falling down and stacking them on top one another. "Anyway, Manuel labor is good for the body and mind" Jynzo said as he picked up on of the few remaining boxes. |

"Stop!" Cat said alarmed and laughing at the same time. "I was only teasing." she watched the boxes fly past her, relieved that they weren't aimed at her. Picking up another box "You know, if you don't tell me your name, I'm going to have to make one up for you." Cat balanced another box precariously on top of the one she already had "and it wont be pretty!" |

Jynzo smiled as he lift the last box and carried it to the landing pad. He walked over the the shed and picked his coat up. Sumomo, who had wrapped her self up in the folds of the black coat rolled out as he lifted it. She looked up and smiled. "Master, is she coming with us?" Sumomo said as she stood up an began to climb Jynzo. "Well that is up to here." Jyzno said as he walked over and placed a piece of paper into Cat's hand. "If you decide to come, if you decide to take the pat of a Jedi, come to these coordinates at sundown. I will be waiting." |

"How very ambiguous of you." Cat stated wryly, taking the note. "I've already decided to come with you - but I thought you'd already know that." Pulling a comm for her belt, she spoke into it in Ithorian which sounded particularily odd coming out of human vocal chords. "Just calling home." she said to her companions. A garbled response came back. "That was the herd ship. I've gotta get my stuff so they'll take me up in a minute." Taking a quick look around the shed to be sure that nothing had been left behind, she stretched. "So, while you don't apparently have a name, I assume you have a ship?... What were you doing here, anyway??" |

"Well, I have a ship." Jynzo smiled "And i was going to do some business, but something important came up. Now... Again... Take your time with your good byes, Say farewell to everyone precious to you. Come to those coordinates by sundown today. I will be waiting."

Curiouser and curiouser ... Cat was just about to ask something else when she felt the vibration of the Ithorian Herdship landing outside. She ran out and made her way inside, running up towards the main city. Turning a corner on the upper observation deck, she narrowly missed bumping into a Nature Priest and called back an apology as she hurried on. "Joba!" she yelled breathlessly into the Merchantate building. A passing Ithorian gave her an annoyed look, she smiled back. Cat found Joba busy at a work station. He looked through the screen at her "Trouble with the cargo?" He queried. Sitting down, but jiggling her leg like a hyperactive child "Try Wanderlust ... or better yet - I'm going to be a Jedi!" The Ithorian dropped the specimen he was holding. |

Cat sat in her quarters. One wall was a window looking out to the Atruim. She crossed the room and put her hand on the glass, a little sad. Cat had a feeling that she wouldn't be back here for a long time. She put on her coat and walked out to the viewing platform where Joba was waiting. "I'm packed." Joba took her hand and they stood there silently staring out across the jungle. She closed her eyes and immersed herself in the moment. The trees whispered their farewells. She felt the Ithorians on the ship. Sorrow. Hope. Love. Cat looked to Joba, a tear trickling down her cheek. Thank you for understanding. Joba lowered his head. Goodbye, my daughter.. She squeezed his hand then bowed in reverence to the hum of emotions given to her by her surrogate community. With one last look, her bag over her shoulder, Cat descended to Khoonda. It felt like the begining of something. She hoped she was ready for whatever lay ahead. |

Jynzo was laying on the roof of his ship, looking up at the sky. The wind was blowing gently and tails of his coat fluttered slightly. Rinji was on the grass meditating and Sumomo was cartwheeling around him. She stopped suddenly and looked behind her towards the trees that surrounded the clearing.
"MASTER! LIFE FORM DETECTED!" Sumomo yelled Jynzo sat up and looked over the edge of the ship to where Sumomo was pointing. |

Cat looked at the note and looked at the ship; it seemed to be the right one. Walking around the side, she looked up and saw him laying on top.
"Hey, Red!" She called up to him. "I think it'd take more than sunbaking to give you a tan." |

Jynzo stood up and smiled. He jumped off the ship and used the force to slowly fall to the ground.
"Red huh?, well you came. How did they take it?" Jynzo said examining the girls face. He placed a hand on Cat's shoulder. "You can come back. Most likely, they will be waiting." Jynzo said smiling. "But for right now, Sumomo." Jynzo looked at the little droid as she nodded and her eyes glazed over. The loading ramp of the Baudo-class star yacht Slowly opened up. "Shall we" Jynzo said as he lead the way. "We will be making some stops on the way to the temple. Oh and one thing you should know, Don't piss her off." |

She looked at Sumomo confused.
"Ok ..." she said walking up the ramp. "Hmm" Cat looked around. Privileged childhood? "So what's the big secret?" she queried, taking a seat. "Where are we going?" quickly raising her hand before he replied "and I'm still going to keep asking questions, no matter how vague and mysterious you want to be." she smiled. |

"Im not being vague and its not sumomo you should worry about, its Vera." Jynzo said
"Vera?" Cat asked "Yes Vera, who else." A voice said indignantly Cat took a step back "Vera is the ships female mind. She doesn't really like a lot of people" Jynzo shrugged. "Vera, plot course 117 vector 3." Jynzo turned to Cat "We will be making our first stop on Hurikane. On our way there I will be attmepting to teach you some of yout Jedi heritage." |

((Hey, I decided to replace the half-@ssed five second picture on my character's profile with a decent one, so I sat down in front of a mirror and drew myself. Have a look, and excuse the crappy scanning coz the scanner at work has low dpi  ))
"Oh, Ok." Cat looked around "Hi Vera" she said not sure where to address the greeting, and leant back in the chair. Cat watched Khoonda shrink away into the distance and frowned thoughtfully. She cleared her mind, mentally preparing herself for what she mused would probably be too much information to stuff into her head - at least at first. Thinking on how she felt when he'd got that lightsaber working, she looked at her hands, still feeling the strange sensation. I supose this must be the force. Cat considered that for a moment and wondered jokingly if any jedi had taken up professional gambling. Well, I guess that's the reason not everyone is force sensitive. She said to herself, thinking of some of the seedy characters she'd met in the catina and what a disaster it would be if they could manipulate the force. Or is it the other way around?.... Maybe it's both? |

Jynzo lead cat down the hallway and opened one of the doors. Inside was a medium sized room with a bed, a small bathroom with a shower, and a few cabinets.
"Its not that much, but it will last. I dont care if you put anything on the walls as long as they are tasteful." Jynzo said as Cat walked into the room. "In 1 hour i want to see you in the training room. Just say 'Vera Training room' and then follow the lighted path that will appear on the walls. Is there anything else you need?" |

Cat inspected the room, impressed. "Thanks, no I'll be fine." She put her bag down on the bed. "Oh, actually, a question - Why are you doing this? Helping me, I mean." |

Jynzo took a deep breath. He really did not know what to say. "You looked tired. You looked like you needed something besides living on that planet doing something no one would remember you for. Im a Grey Jedi, that means i am neither Sith nor Jedi and i get asked by a lot of people why i align my self with the jedi. In truth, I am a believer in the Potentium theory. No Light side No Dark side, Just good people and bad people. The Jedi need help, so much has happened to them in the past." Jynzo said. He looked at Cat who seemed to be thinking. Jynzo leaned forward and pressed his finger against Cat's forehead. "You.. One hour.. Jynzo heard the foot steps at the door and turned to look at cat who had just entered the room. He smiled and signaled for her to side down, which she did. Jynzo sat down in front of her and looked her in the eye.
"Well, lets begin. I want you to close your eyes and breath. Breathing in and out slowly, and listen. Listen to the sounds of the ship, listen to the sound of your heart beating." Jynzo watched for several minutes as The girl began her first attempt at meditation. "Open your eyes. I will ask you a Question, Do not answer right away. Wait first Listen to your instincts. I will ask this question every day until you can do it without guessing. " The Girl nodded. "Use your instinct, feel your mind grow and search for it. Cat gritted her teeth, trying not to smile or loose concentration. She stared at him, attempting to dig deeper. She breathed slowly, dispelling the impatience welling inside her. Cat closed her eyes. She could hear ... she could feel ... Nothing She reached out to him with her mind. Her heart beat loudly in her ears. Ah, there you are! Now she could hear his heart too. She felt through him. Into him ... Pushing on with invisible fingers .... Cat saw herself, and was confused for a moment but realised she was seeing through his eyes. But I can't hear you! She tried to go into his head, but felt a wall. Pressing forward, she struggled through but everything was cloudy. Cat couldn't make out anything, defeated she felt herself beginning to fall back. |

Jynzo laughed to himself as he heard the description from Cat.
"Yes, i understand how you feel. It is a hard concept to wrap your mind around" Jynzo said as he took an egg the size of a football out of the storage unit. He walked over a paneled wall and pressed his palm against a black panel. A large hole in the wall appeared and Jynzo placed the Egg inside. "Vera, scrambled." Jynzo said as the panel slid shut. Jynzo walked over to the table where Cat was sitting and sat opposite her. "Is there anything you want to know about the Jedi or the Sith, i may not have many answers but i can assure you i will tell you everything that i know. |

Cat crossed her legs and straightened her back, attempting to shake the exhaustion off.
"Well ... I'll tell you what I know, which isn't much .... In Khoonda they say that the Jedi cause more harm than good, but Joba - he raised me after my parents died-" she shifted in her seat, uncomfortable with the thought. "He said that everyone says that because they don't know the difference between Jedi and Sith. People there have short memories when it comes to good deeds, and infinite ones when recalling the bad." She ran her fingers through her hair and lowered her gaze "I don't know if he was just trying to console me. You know, when I was little, an old woman made this sign at me - like I was bad luck or something. I used to get the feeling that the older people in Khoonda knew something that I didn't ... but all I was able to find out was that what my parents did - having me - wasn't exactly the done thing." Looking up again, she put her hands on the table. "I've never met a Jedi. Not before you, I mean ... but I do remember a Sith. I don't know who he was, but he said he knew my parents. Force, he was strange. He looked like a shadow, where the sun went to die ... He wanted to talk to me but Joba called me up to the Herdship and wouldn't let me off for a month." She leant her chin on her hands "So basically, what I know is Jedi equals good - maybe, and Sith equals bad ... and now you talk about 'grey', I have no idea what that's about." |

Jynzo let out a long deep sigh.
"Grey. Grey is a point of view. I will not ta take a side in the debate about which is better. If the sith rule, I could care less. If the Jedi Protect, i will fight along side them. I have friends on both sides of this never ending war. The reason why i am grey, Is Potentium. Potentium is a way of looking at the force. You know the way things are told as of now, Sith are bad Jedi are good. Potentium says that there is no dark side of the force and there is not Light side of the force. The alignment of the person using the force is the dark or light side. Its alot of information to take in at once im afraid" Jynzo leaned back and smiled. "We will be arriving on Hurikane soon, why do you think we are going?" |

Jynzo stood and pressed his hand against the black panel again. This caused another hole in the wall to open and jynzo removed 2 plates, each heaped with steaming hot eggs. He placed one of the plates in front of cat and he indicated 2 series of Nubs in the center of the table. Jynzo reached out and grabbed the center nub and pulled it out to reveal a fork. Cat copied his example. "Hurikane. Your lightsaber, the one that i fixed for you, used a crystal from Hurikane. I assume you wanted to get your lightsabers back to their original design considering they are heirlooms?" Jynzo said, he leaned forward slightly "When we are there, stay close to me. They dont like Jedi, and they dont like them violently" |

"I can fix that" Jynzo said slowly "But that is not my job. Your job right now is to tell me my name. We will have another meeting in the training room tomorrow. Followed by weapons practice, that is if we can get you a crystal. I happen to know my sister in on Hurikane at the moment." |

Jynzo stood and took cat's plate and fork. He walked over to the sink and placed the dishes inside. "Oh while your at it, can you give sumomo a cleaning also. Just remove the clothes carefully, it is reaelly hard to make clothes for a 16cm tall person." Jynzo shouted down the hall. |

"and yet, you insisted on dressing a droid. What does that say about your psyche?" Cat called back teasing. She made her way back to her room and collapsed on the bed, letting her mind catch up to the present. Sumomo sat on her stomach, Cat half sat up, leaning back on her arms. "Sumomo, do you think you can shut down for a minute while I clean you?" The droid powered down, and Cat quickly cleaned her, then sent her away to shower in peace.
She stepped into the shower and sighed with pleasure as the hot water loosened the tension in here body. Cat leant with her hands against the wall, tipping her head back as the water cascaded down her chest. She thought on all that had happened since she met whats-his-name. Still feeling that wound of sadness from having to leave, she opened her heart and let the tears fall freely. Everything had happened so suddenly that she hadn't given herself time to breath. Lifting her head to the water, she washed away the pain. Cat stretched her arms up above her head and arched her back. Feeling like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders, she stepped out of the shower. "Vera, where can I find a towel?" she queried as a cavity opened in the wall with exactly what she needed. "Thanks, you're a mind reader." "That is not within my programming capabilities." came back the feminine but mechanically sterile voice. Cat rolled her eyes, and began to dry off. "Hey, Vera. You're not recording this are you?" she joked, waiting for an equally bland response. "While my data banks suggests your form would be pleasing to many organic species, I do not swing that way." Surprised, Cat burst out laughing. "If you wish, I will record for my Master." Still laughing, Cat shook her head "No, no, don't do that!" She struggled with the words giggling "Oh, actually, maybe you should ask him!" she could barely get the words out. "Very well." came the response, and Cat only regretted not being able to see his face when she asked. "Don't tell him I told you to ask, Ok?" she said, wondering how he would react. "Ok." He'd probably think that the ship has the strangest programming glitch or something She continued to get dressed, and thought that maybe Vera had a humour modulator as that last response sounded like she was actually enjoying the joke too. |

Jynzo had just finished washing the dishes when he felt a strong wave of emotion flood the ship. Jynzo looked up as he felt the loneliness run like a river from Cat's room.
"Vera" Jynzo said "yes master?" Vera replied "How is she?" Jynzo asked "Naked" Vera said "Thats what I thought" Jynzo said with a nervous smile (Like in the anime's) "She has asked me if you wanted to record her... wait... she told me not to tell you. Forget i said anything!" Vera said earnestly. "Yeah...ok" Jynzo sighed "Vera. Command line 1116475 protocol 223 beta 4. the one with the strawberries." "Yes master" Vera replied. Jynzo smiled, This girl was an interesting one. They would arrive on Hurikane soon and there could be trouble. "Tell her to come find me after she rests up a bit." Jynzo said as he left the Kitchen. Cat was tying the ribbon up on the front of her corset. Her wet hair fell in hap hazard tendrils over her shoulders. She preferred to let it dry naturally, as she didn't suffer from the frizziness everyone else seemed to. Adjusting her clothes in the mirror, she walked back into her room. On the end of her bed was a plate carrying a piece of cake decorated with strawberries.
"Oooh" she said, a sucker for chocolate. Then, a little perplexed "Vera, what's this?" "It is cake" "Yes, I know that, but what's it doing here?" "My Master requested it for you." "Oh ..." flattered, Cat felt her face flush as she wondered if he'd taken her up on the suggestion she'd given Vera. Nah ... She shook her head. This is dangerous, cake will get you everywhere. Cat thought as she spied the desert with predatory eyes. "Vera, thank him for me, please." "Master wishes you to find him when you are rested." Later, Cat wandered out of her room, and sauntered up to him. "You didn't want to share?" she questioned a little flirty, with a strawberry in her hand. |

"You seemed sad." jynzo smiled "You are new to the galaxy, and by now you must have guessed im not human. Im a Zeltron. I am also Empathic, i trust you know what that means"
"Of course, I think it means to can feel people's feelings?" Cat said. "Yes. Also, being force sensitive raises my empathic abilities as well so it is sometimes hard to ignore people. I can also use it to read people's minds better then actually reading peoples mind. Would you like a demonstration?" Jynzo asked. |

"Don't worry about it, I was actually monitoring you. It is a hard thing to leave one's life. I was just making sure that you would be ok. I hope the cake help alittle as well." Jynzo smiled "Now follow me." Jynzo lead Cat down the hallway. They walked for several minutes untill the reached the training room. "Dont worry, no more training for today, but we must be ready for when we land." Jynzo said as he walked in and up to a cabinet that covered an entire wall. "Vera Doors" With that the doors vanished revealing an ENORMOUS amount of different weapons, ranged and close-combat alike. "Oh, i will be teaching you to use most of these as well as a lightsaber" Jynzo smiled. |

Looking at the massive array of firepower, she raised her eyebrows at him "and I will be teaching you how to suck at fighting." despite that tiny moment of grace with the lightsaber, Cat and weapons were not at all compatible. It was likely that it stemmed from the absence of aggression within her nature. Despite being forward and confident, her instincts went to helping before hurting on every occasion. Her ability to project a fearless and dominating presence had managed to keep her from having her butt handed to her on many occasions. If she was given a blaster, she'd be more likely to shoot herself in the foot, or bring the ceiling down on top of her than actually take down an opponent. |

Jynzo smiled again.
"You will learn. I may not be good at teaching, but i can teach you to fight." jynzo said sternly. "I am strict when it comes to combat. Watch." Jynzo reached up and took down a small pistol from the wall. He walked over the the other side of the wall to 2 boxes labels 'Training' and 'Live'. He reached into the box that said 'Live' and took out a clip a slid it into the pistol. "vera, Range beta 223." Jynzo said. "Yes Master " Vera replied as 6 manquins popped out of the walls. Jynzo pointed his gun out, Bracing the arm by creating a straight line from his left shoulder to his right hand. Without time for taking aim, he let loose 6 rapid shots and the maniquins fell, a hole in each of their chests. He slid the now empty clip from the gun and placed it into a compartment that said 'reload'. he put the gun back on the rack and walked back to Cat. "You will be using the clips from the 'Training' box. They fire ionized gas and is harmless to the body, though it will sting if you are shot. Depending on how long it takes for you to get my name, we will have several fire fights on this ship with the training clips." Jynzo said. "Now we will be landing soon. Choose a weapon for you to take to the planet untill you get your lightsabers working" |
