I actually liked the storyline of the final three games of the normal mortal kombat series. Deadly Alliance, Deception, then Armageddon were cool. Plus it's just fun to play a round or two with friends. Though it makes you miss the old days when it was classic mortal kombat.

yeah me too and i kind of missed the whole 2-D experience

I haven't played any of the more recent games. But apparently they've suggested that the Mortal Kombat vs DC game isn't going to have fatalities because "You're not going to have Sub-Zero rip Batman's spine out"
While I can understand why DC would insist on that position... what's the bloody point of crossing with Mortal Kombat if you remove fatalities?! That IS Mortal Kombat. I want to see Batman run over Sub-Zero with the Batmobile. I want to see Superman lobotomize Scorpion with heat-vision! I want to see Noob Sybot (do they still have him?) turn The Flash in smoking pile of nothing!
