Reporting in Master Vos.

Xander Vos

Thank you. As I've already seen your excellent profile, there will be no need to post it here.
As you also mentioned an interest in Quinlan Vos, please research him, on any reasearch engines, and strive to post as many unknown facts about him that either you didn't know, or believe that I wouldn't know, or, failing that, that the general public wouldn't know.

Although I know you will already know this but I do not think others know. Quinlan Vos was a Kiffar, a near-human species, where one in one hundred possessed the ability of psychometry, the ability to read the tenuous psychic imprints left on inanimate objects, which Quinlan Vos possessed and used on many occasions. The Vos line, Kiffu clan, had many who had this ability. His first appearence was in Episode I. He can be seen on Tatooine during the fight between Jar Jar and Sebulba. His reasons for being on Tatooine was he was investigating spice smuggling. He had actually seen and recognized Qui-Gon but he did not approach him due to being undercover. If he had known the situation Qui-Gon had been in he may have risked exposing himself. He as well knows the basics of Form VII: Vaapad, Sora Bulq had taught him the basics but Vos hadn't gone further. Vos' parents were murdered by vampiric Anzati, close to going insane he was saved by Jedi Master Tholme who would later become Vos' Master.

For your second assignment I want you to research someone on this board, and really get to know their character, and report their most interesting features or events in their lives.

Because you are now my Master I thought it'd be appropriate for me to do research on you. You were born 6 BBY, the grandson of the famed jedi Quinlan Vos. Fleeing after Order 66 your family settled on Naboo, though the Vos family had been found and your grandmother was sadly killed. Fleeing once again the vos family fled to Tatooine where your father became a moisture farmer. When you were 10 you searched for remnents of the Jedi. Traveling throughout the galaxy at one point you were captured by Black Haven, though six months later you escaped. Traveling to Lorta it was unexpectedly invaded by the Sith in which your good friend Jysek was killed and you awoke with a prosthetic arm and you were greeted by Jedi Master Asil Leikane. She brought you back to the Backuran Order where you were initiated into the Order. You became Vikro's apprentice after being initiated into the Order. While being under apprenticeship you learn your master's powerful Force Shove ability. In 23 ABY you were knighted . Two years after being knighted you received your first apprentice, Wes Odo. Years later you received word that your former master died on Korriban while trying to destroy the Jewel of the Force, though in doing so he succeeded. Later on there had been word that the Jewel of the Force had not been destroyed. In return you along with Koras Aldamar, Padme Dral and Lyn Korak traveled to Korriban to destory it. Arriving on Korriban you had learned that your former Master had not died but had actually fallen to the dark side. After a struggle you as well fell to the darkside taking the name Darth Cious and Darth Vicarious, Vikro, reverted back to Vikro. As Darth Cious you dueled with Lyn Korak. During the duel the Jewel of the force had finally ben destoryed when a Force Lightning strike hit it destorying it which freed you from it's spell. You had finally received the rank of Jedi Master at the age of 56 in 50 ABY. Later than most due to the Jewel of the Force incident as well as dark side tendencies within your family.

Thats kind of just a copy-paste of what I had written. What I meant was to find interesting facts about me, or interesting events, not the entire bio. But good first attempt, you are of course still just learning, I'll have many more missions for you. But that's enough for today, I'm going out soon anyway, we can continue tomorrow. But after tomorrow school begins again so I can't be on as much.

All the information provided could be considered interesting facts, I thought was best to summarize your bio including interesting facts in my opinion instead of just listing off things.
Xander Vos
Ah, true. It just seemed kind of familiar to what I wrote, but that doesn't matter anyway, whats important is you completed your mission to the parameters set.

Congratulations on your promotion!
Speaking of which, your new task is to write a short essay (minimum 500 words) on the ranks of the Jedi Order (the real one, not our one) and how each is acheived.
Those ranks of course are: Youngling, Knight, Master, Temporary Council Member, Junior Council Member, Senior Council Member, and Grand Master.
Mindal
Thank you.
Youngling is the first position within the Jedi Order. Children who are force sensitive are brought to the Jedi Temple at a young age and assigned to a clan. Within this clan they train till a Jedi Knight or Master choses them as their padawan. If they are not chosen by the age of 13 they are placed into a different role in the Jedi Service Corps depending on what they were talented in. If they were chosen they were given the rank padawan. As a padawan they trained under the knight or master that had chose them. A padawan of a haired species would get a buzzcut and grow a braid on the side of their head. It would be cut off at the knighting ceremony after completing the jedi trails. The Jedi Trails, also known as Trials of Knighthood, were four trails. Trail of Skill which usually consisted of a lightsaber duel with another individual or a dark side manifestation to prove to be a fully trained warrior, Trial of Flesh which consisted of a padawan overcoming a hardship, Trial of Courage was a padawan showing great courage which could mean completing a mission with low chance of survival or defeating a superior enemy, and The Trial of Spirit a padawan would have to look deep inside themselves and see what they were truly made of. In special cases where the padawan performed above and beyond in extraordinary situations the aspects of the tests were not neccesarily adhered to. Once the padawan had passed the trials at the Knighting Ceremony their braid was cut off making them a Jedi Knight.Jedi Knights were the majority of the Jedi Order. As a Jedi Knight they became an active member of the Jedi Order taking part in missions across the galaxy. Before going on missions the Jedi Knight was also able to choose and train a padawan. Most Jedi Knights were promoted to Jedi Master once they had completed training a padawan. There were two possible ways to attain the rank of Jedi Master. One way was the successful training of a padawan into knighthood which the rank of Master was usually gained this way. Another way was to retake the Jedi Trails to earn the rank. Being a Jedi Master was the highest rank possible to most as well as in most circumstances the rank needed to be appointed a Jedi Councilman. Some Master who were too old for missions or members of the Council tutored younglings along with other matters in the Jedi Temple which would included instructing on various lightsaber forms and instructing in other fields. When a Jedi Council Member vacates their seat on the council the council looks for an exceptional Jedi Master to fill the position. Council members would vote on prospective candidates. There are no ranks within the council, although, each member served on the council for a certain time. Five permenant members who accepted lifetime commitment, Four long term members until they chose to step down and rest served limited terms where at the end they would step down and another member would be elected. There were four Jed Councils at the time of the Clone War. The high council which was the primary governing body, the Council of First Knowledge which was an advicing council who gave advice to the High Council and Jedis based on past Jedi's wisdom, the Council of Reconciliation which pursued peaceful endings for disputes, the Reassignment Council who were in charge of young Jedi not chosen by a Knight or Master along with Jedi being reassigned to other positions and responsibilities, and lastly the Alliance High Council which consisted of Jedi and goverment officials to cooperate with eachother. The highest position and leader of the entire Jedi Order is the Jedi Grand Master. Only the highest ranking Jedis took the position. The way of actually obtaining the position is unknown.

Clearly I don't like paragraphs all that much.
Xander Vos
Its a lot easier to read if you do split it into paragraphs though.
Excellent work, I even learnt a few things from that. I'll see if I can manage to get on tomorrow and give you another one then.

Paragraphs are for fools!
Xander Vos
That's why books use them...
Please write me a short paragraph on your favourite Star Wars movie - what you like about it, and what you dislike about it, and why its your favourite - in no more than one hundred words.

I would have to say that The Phantom Menace is my favorite movie out of the series.I love everything about the movie. My favorite individual things about the movie has got to be Qui Gon and Darth Maul. Qui Gon is my favorite Grey Jedi. Darth Maul is one of my favorite things out of the whole Star Wars Universe due to his Teräs Käsi Mastery and him not needing to rely on the Force to be such a good duelist, yet that was his downfall as well. I really don't dislike anything about the movie, I love it considerably.
Xander Vos
Well, Qui-Gon wasn't technically a Grey...
Good work. Part of the challenge was saying so much in so little words, and you did it brilliantly.
Mindal
Technically he isn't but he can be considered a Grey Jedi.

You've far exceeded my expectations, and I'm actually at a loss for what to assign you. How about you begin a duel with someone, anyone of your choosing, and I'll watch and afterwards, I'll comment on the good and bad aspects of the duel on your part.
Mindal
Been busy lately, but I have the time now and I'll go make a topic now.
Mindal

A lot better now and just continued the roleplay. I'm open for suggestions, compliments, etc on my roleplaying.
Xander Vos
I've really got no suggestions. You're doing an awesome job, and keep it up.
Mindal

Thanks for your kind comments. Actually my first time roleplaying Star Wars, I've had more experience within others things. Waiting for an appropriate roleplay to join, may join the Seige of Bakura topic if it's not too late.

Never is. New RPers are always welcome. Just remember to follow the guidelines Tarna set, and you should be fine.
