They did, Free Radical was making BF3 just because of that. Lucasarts still owns the SW name, not EA or Pandemic. |

Pandemic killed its 2 other series, Destroy all Humans and Mercenaries, whilst Free Radical only has one flop (Haze). |

I played parts of the demo. Warrior is cool, archer is Awesome, but scout was really lame. | ||||

Yeah, I have BF2 and Rise of the Witch King: both are amazing. I prefer the original BF2 however. There are areas I would like to have been improved upon, but BF2 is rather solid and will hold out as a top RTS for years to come.
I always ranked it like this: Best Classes (depending on situation) - when attacking enemies: Mage - when flanking: Archer (I killed 11 enemies, some respawned, with an archer in Minis Tirith by flanking) Most fun classes: - Archer - Scout (they suck, but who doesn't like stabbing a troll IN THE FACE?! I also think its so much fun to get behind a cocky enemy archer and one-hit him) Warriors are pretty cool, but sort of ordinary. That is, in multiplayer. In singleplayer they are perhaps the best class. |

I think I'll get it just for the single player. I played the demo online and almost everyone was a mage. What fun is that? Everywhere I turn there is some stupid mage following me around. | ||||

The mage is hard to kill, but I can quiet easily DESTROY them with an archer.
Fire arrow hit them, knock them down and do pretty good damage. Poison them next. Shoot the multi-shot arrows, then continue hitting with more and more singular arrows and gradually move closer (depending on the situation: ex: if you have good cover, stay where you are. If the mage isn't alone, move back). Scouts SUCK unless you can't see them and your an archer hitting from a long range who stays behind cover. It's easy for them to kill you then. Otherwise, they're only meant to take down trolls. (I hadn't died ONCE and had killed 29 enemies and all of the sudden WHAM, scout instant kill). Otherwise use the mage-process mentioned above with an archer. Warriors suck unless it's one of those final moments in the game and you're all in a Minis Tirith confined courtyard.... then they will win you victory if you have enough warriors swarm the enemy. Archers are somewhat difficult to counter. A scout can dispatch them in stealth if they are one of those camper-archers. Otherwise you should ambush them with a warrior or mage, making escape impossible. If they get but a few feet away from your you're screwed. I play an archer usually, and I occasionally switch to mage to heal myself at Command Posts. I hardly ever play warrior. I've only successfully played a rogue once, and that involved stealthing into a group of 5 enemy archers in a Minis Tirith wall, and using the assassination special attack on ALL of them. Then I switched to Archer class. |
