Kisuk Kolar's TrainingAlright, since you were wanting a master, I figured I'd come out of my "unofficial" apprentice retirement.
So, your first assignment will be:
Explain to me a semi-indepth reason why you changed to Jedi. In character, out of character or both. Doesn't matter.
Make it sna- erm, take your time.

Here is my reasoning, for a long time I've wanted to roleplay as a Jedi and as all the Jedi site's I've found are either not very active or have a limited number of Jedi and I'm a Sith on almost every site and there are many Sith sites that I can find so I decided to roleplay as one on this site being this is the largest one I know of. |
That's basically it. I would prefer to keep it all IC since there is really no need for OOC training, I already know enough about SW

Sorry about the wait. I've been really busy.
Yep, I know you wanted IC training. I just wanted to be able to figure out a little backstory so I'd know where to jump into things.
If I get this wrong, tell me. Basicly, I know you were Matas, and now are Kisuk? But you don't know, so I have to basicly keep it secret? And do you need to start on basics? Or do you already know them?
I want to get this right. We'll get on with the IC training once I find out the situation.
Kisuk Kolar

You know I was Matas but you must make sure I do not know and keep it a secret. But you still worry the strong darkness within me, The Zabrak, doesn't return. Already know the basics, that I didn't forget but did forget the major powers

Alright, got it.
___
Koras was waiting in a small room, dimly lit by a few lanterns hanging off the side of the wall on long, hooked poles. He rubbed his forehand with his hand, and his eyes were shut. There came a sound of footsteps coming from the corridor behind him. He looked up, and turned around.
"He's coming." He said to himself.
((Anything you want to learn?))
Kisuk Kolar
((Nothing in particular, possibly learning to control the force and learning of the dark side. How old is your character by this time anyway?))
He walked into the small room and noted the small lanterns. In the middle of the room, was a Togruta sitting on the ground and he turned to see Kisuk. That was the identity the Jedi had told him, but somehow he wasn't sure it was his real name but it was the only identity he knew at the moment. The Togruta looked at Kisuk with a sense of slight fear and deep concern. Kisuk did not know why many people looked at him with fear and some with disgust. It was confusing but Kisuk didn't really care of it.
"Hello, I am Kisuk Kolar"
Dork of Mordork
Koras seemed like he was in a different world. His eyes flashed, and he looked back at Kisuk.
"My name is Koras." He said
There was a look on Kisuk's face, as if he had heard that name before... as if he remembered it from some long off tale. But he brushed off the thought, and swallowed the dryness in his throat.
"I can feel the darkness within your soul. You must learn to control it, or it will control you. Come sit, and clear your thoughts of all of your past." Koras said slowly, as he motioned for Kisuk to come forward.
((What year is it?))
Lyn Korak
((Sorry for coming and intterupting, but I think it's a good change for Padawan training. IC, I like it.))
Dork of Mordork
((Yeah, so do I. By now the whole "Explain why you like blue colored sabers and tell me what happened in ANH" stuff is old. If you don't know what happened in ANH, you need help.))
Kisuk Kolar
((80 ABY and yeah, IC training is better because if you're roleplaying on a Star Wars board, then you know what happened in Star Wars))
Kisuk nodded and stepped forward towards Koras. His emotions were controlled yet expressionless. All he truely felt was confusion. Fear was not even a factor since his people did not feel that emotion.
"A darkness? Strange, I feel it too but I don't know what it is. As for my past, clearing it won't be a problem since I don't remember anything of it except when I woke up here in the Jedi temple a few weeks ago."
Dork of Mordork
((Koras was born 50 BBY. You do the math.))
((What if I taught you Breath Control? A Force power Koras is quite good at.))
Kisuk Kolar
((Hey, you're the master. You basically choose what to teach. ))
Dork of Mordork
((Hah, okay.))
Koras opened his eyes slightly, hardly noticeable. His hand twitched, and he went back into his meditation state as if nothing happened.
From small vents on the floor of the room, a grey-green mist appeared. It floated into the air and circled the two Jedi slowly. Kisuk's eyes shot open and he gasped for air. A glowing blue aura was surrounding Koras, and he was breathing normally with no problems.
"Clear your mind." Koras said calmly.
"I can't- *gasp* breathe!" Kisuk shouted.
"Channel the Force. Stay calm. If used correctly, you will be able to use the Force to block the toxins from yourself." Koras said.
Kisuk held his breath. He calmed himself, and tapped into the Force. A glowing blue aura surrounded him, and his breathing went back to normal.
"Now concentrate. Don't let yourself be distracted." Koras said.
Out of the back corners of the room came two glowing orbs. They buzzed to life, and floated towards Kisuk.
((Now you gotta deal with the training droids while keeping the breath control on. ))
Kisuk Kolar

The force triggered a strange feeling to Kisuk, one as if he had felt it before but he had no time to think of that now. As the two small droids came towards Kisuk, an instinct took over the Zabrak and his senses suddenly calmed him and his mind focused on the droids. Aggressive tactics suddenly fluttered his mind, most likely triggered by the nature Iridonian Zabrak. The bubble that surrounded him remained intact and Kisuk suddenly jumped and luckily grabbed one of the floating droids. As soon as he completed his action, the second droid flew faster and headed towards the Zabrak more rapid that before. He ducked missing it's metalic body by a horn length. It returned but this time Kisuk grazed it with one of his horns and caused it to start to slow down. This was his chance, he used his natural senses since the greenish mist was still in the air, and Kisuk threw the small droid from his hand at it hit the droid crushing both of them together in the impact point. The blue bubble began to fluster but Kisuk focused and it glowed bright again. The Zabrak looked at Koras with his black eyes and spoke,
"It was like an instict. I could perform those martial arts moves easier than I though, I'm not sure how but it is of no importance right now. So, Master Koras, what else do you have in mind for me?"
Dork of Mordork

"At this time, I don't know." Koras started. "Go now, and reflect on what you have learned today. I will call you back soon." Koras said.
((While I'm gone, perhaps have a duel with another member of equal or higher skill than yourself. A Jedi is the best choice, but a Sith will do if needed. Maybe if it is a Council member like Lyn, then that person could teach you something in my stead. Well, I'll be back in a few days.))

((If he chooses me, I can tech him Art of the Small.))
Kisuk Kolar
((All right, I'll accept you))
Lyn Korak
Lyn Korak, a Jedi Master, walked into the room, his cloak trailing him, lightly skimming the cold ground. He knew Kisuk had gone to rest for the day, and decided to wait for him. Going to a control panel, he activated it, sending three small flying droids into the room. Getting his pistol out, he decided to test his reflexes.
Kisuk Kolar
Kisuk didn't manage to sleep much and when he did, varius overlapping images of death and destruction clouded his mind. He didn't question the Jedi Council of the truths they had told him, but he still wasn't sure if the whole truth was being told. Kisuk knew that Koras had gone on an urgent mission with the Council and that the Zabrak couldn't go with him. They would say he was too young to go which was ironic since he was 30 years of age, a rather very old age to begin Jedi training but he was told he was a special case. Kisuk stood and put his training robes on and cleaned his red tattooed face. Small scars still showed from when he changed his tattooes, his old ones seemed too unlike him. He walked back to his training chamber where his Togruta master had told him of another called Lyn Korak who would train him until he returned. He opened the door to see a human firing at three small droids.
"I believe you must be Master Korak"
Dork of Mordork
((Well I'm back, but I'll let the both of you carry on.))
Lyn Korak
"Yes, I am," Lyn said, dodging a blaster bolt by one of the droids and squeezing off three quick shots, making the small droids go up in a smell explosion.
"You want to learn Art of the Small, I've been told?" Kisuk nodded quickly. "Very well. We will start off small... I need to you listen very carefully...
"Sink yourself into the Force, submerging yourself, drown yourself. Now, concentrate on shrinking yourslef in the Force. Most Jedi can do that up to a degree, but not as to the level of mastered. I need you to concentrate even harder, willing yourself to become small in the Force."
Master Korak performed the technique, and asked Kisuk, "Can you sense me?"
Kisuk Kolar
Kisuk let the force surge through him and he did what he was taught in sensing other beings through the force. He expanded the force to spread around him and beyond the chamber but he couldn't sense Lyn. He didn't know where he was even though Lyn was in the same room as him. Kisuk remained calm and since fear was not a factor to him, he wasn't nervous of not sensing the human.
"No, I do not" Kisuk responded.
The Zabrak half smiled and went deep into the force and began to immidiately shrink his presence there. It was as if he had done the technique before but did not know it. He learned easily and mimicked what Lyn had done. It was done.
"Now, do you feel me?" Kisuk whispered
Lyn Korak
Lyn grinned. The Zabrak had learned easy, had shrunk his presense. He broadened what he could sense with the Force, and could barely sense Kisuk. He was a small dot in the Universe, the Force.
"Barely," he whispered back.
Kisuk Kolar
((Continue, there isn't much I can reply to that))
Lyn Korak
Bringing his Force Presense back to normal, Lyn smiled slightly. "You have learned well. I know that if you continue to harness it and continue to use it, you will soon become a Master of it."
Kisuk Kolar
Kisuk nodded and agreed. He had felt that easy to forge and if he continued, he probably could master it.
"Thank you, I trust I will as well"
Dork of Mordork
((Oh, yeah, this is where I come in.))
There came a faint, hollow sound coming from behind Kisuk and Lyn. They turned around at once, and Koras appeared. Apparently Koras had been watching secretly the whole time.
"You've done well." Koras said with a slight smile.
"Thanks." Kisuk replied.
Koras nodded to Lyn, and Lyn bowed.
"Continue training the power I have taught you, Kisuk." Lyn said
"I will." Kisuk answered, and Lyn left the room.
"What would you say you have learned from this lesson?" Koras asked.
Kisuk Kolar
"I learned how to shirnk my presence in the force which is a good strategy which would add the element of surprise in our battles against other force users. They will not be able to detect us and we could overhear their plans and surprise them as well. In your lesson, I learned how to control my breathing and be able to hold it in large quantities of time. It should help if there is a dangerous biological weapon used against us or if toxins surround us or if there is no air, we use that technique to aide us," Kisuk responded using strategy and a combative mind to his words.
Dork of Mordork
"I see what you mean, and you're right. If you could cloak yourself with the Force, as I did before, then you would be close to completely undetectable." Koras said.
"Are you able to learn the power now?" Koras asked.
Kisuk Kolar
Kisuk nodded and felt confident he could do it. His nature took over at the time and Kisuk smiled showing his teeth. The Zabrak lowered his head and causing it to rise once more slowly.
"Yes I am, master Koras"
Dork of Mordork
"Good, I thought you would." Koras said.
Koras twitched both of his hands slightly, and suddenly he vanished. He appeared again after a moment, and opened his eyes.
"Channel into the Force. Use it as a cloak, it will overshadow you, and make you invisable." Koras said.
"Do you understand?" Koras asked.
Kisuk Kolar
"Yes, I understand master" Kisuk responded.
The Zabrak did as he was told and begun to channel the force to conjure and large cloak and forced it to surround his body. It covered all aspects of his presence both physical and force wise. His appearence vanished and so did his presence in the force. He could not be felt. Kisuk then walked and practiced controlling his force energy to maintain the power and suddenly appeared behind his Togruta master.
"I believe I conjured the power correctly, correct?"
Dork of Mordork
"You're right, but I could still sense you, even just the slighest bit. Now, try using the cloak as well as the 'small' powers together." Koras said.
Kisuk Kolar
"I thought I did it correctly but very well," Kisuk responded.
Kisuk did as he was told and gathered all the force energy he had within him and used it as a cloak. Using smaller powers to cover the minor details within him, he managed to take away his entire presence physically and sensable by the force. Now it was for certain that he could not be felt. Within Kisuk, he could fell large quantities of force enrgy in which he forced himself to tap into that power. The power now seemed so easy he knew he couldn ot be felt.
Dork of Mordork
"I can still feel you. You sure suck at this." Koras said.
Oookay not really...
__
"Good, you are complete un-sensable." Koras said.
There was a slight trimmer, and Kisuk reappeared.
"Did I do it right?" Kisuk asked.
"Perfectly. Good job. You'll be a Jedi yet." Koras said.
"What kind of situation do you think these powers would come in handy in?" Koras asked.
Kisuk Kolar
"In times when we are fighting dark sided force using individuals in which it is needed to surprise them. It could also be used in retreaving secret data without being detected by force sensitive guards or with holocams. Also, if it is necessary to hide from danger and/or from a group and t is needed to reach a destination without being detected," Kisuk responded.
Although he had yet to realize it, many of his words and actions came from his former militarized self. Darth Matas had known combat and strategy extremely well and it seemed Kisuk was experiencing the same strategizing mind as his former self. Kisuk was oblivious to it all and just believed what the Jedi had "programmed" him to know.
Dork of Mordork
"You're right, and there are many more situations where these powers could be used." Koras said.
"You've done well. By now I think you're ready to go on a mission with me." Koras said.
((This is where you could start a new RP and we could both join, or just both of us join a new one.))
Kisuk Kolar
((Let's start a new RP then. I'll make it in a bit))
