In His Honor and PoetryI just wanted to say to my Leon that I am proud of him for what he is about to go and do for our country. I may not of been proud of America in the past but I am proud of him, more proud than I have ever been of any one. We have struggled, fought, and worked hard to be together and in the end we are going to win out. Through set backs and trials, blood, sweat, and tears; Leon and I have always come out on top. In his honor I make this thread, well done my love.
I also wanted to make a side thread to tell him thank you for everything. Leon, you've made me see things about myself that are better and that no one else in the world could make me see. You teach me to be a good person, to love everything around me, and for that I am greatful. I love you with all my heart and I will proudly tell people my husband is in the Army right now, and as soon as he gets back we are going to start the biggest family you ever saw!
You
Through heart ache
Through misery
Standing at the end
You
Through the blood
Through the tears
Worth while in the end
You
All of the pain
All of the strife
Comes to an end with
You
All of my love
All of my heart
Belongs only to
You
You my love
You and you alone
To have and to hold
To love and to cherish
May not even in death
Shall we part
Forever Baby, Forever
I do

Have fun. Really a nice poem. It came from the heart which is something most poetry is lacking these days.

I wrote that on a whim. It just kind of spured out. I felt it.

That's the best type of poetry

I would agree. That is the best poetry. Stright from the heart without any interference.

Sounds like love sucks hehe
I'm kidding, great poetry. I myself usually read depressing poems if I read poems at all (Edgar Alan Poe) .... No, I am not emo, nor am I a goth or anything of the like. I just simply find them frighteningly relaxing, but your poems are great.

Thank you. I am personal fan of Edgar Alan Poe and his poems are pretty relaxing, but I also feel the emions he portrays behind his words. Most of his more depressing poems were written after his wife died. He was madly in love with her and it tore him to pieces that she was gone and people believed that it drove him insane. I believe it. If Leon died I think that I would go insane the same as Edgar did.

Poe remains my favorite author and poet. Everybody should read The Raven. EVERYBODY

The Raven
One of the most symbolic and frightening poems I've ever read: easily the best. Last I read it was two or three years ago, so I hardly remember the exact details. I should read it again.
