You're of course encouraged to participate in roleplaying, but Rebels is highly active for out-of-character discussion. Just scroll down a bit and you'll find sections appropriate for discussing movies, games, debating opinions, and anything at all really!
You'll notice most members have ranks below their user names. This is not related (unless you choose) to your characters' rank. It's really more of a "political" rank that says how much influence that person has in dictating forum policy. There are two separate ranking systems to climb. The Sith, headed by Embeion and a group of other "Lords". And the Jedi - headed by myself and other Council members. Simply decide which you wish to participate in and I'll place you into the system.
If you're not interested in climbing the ranks of forum leadership, feel free to request an "unranked" title such as Grey Jedi, Smuggler, or Bounty Hunter.
I think that about covers the basics. Enjoy your stay and I hope you stick around!

I was once the most active person (.... Summer....) on the site and had up to 15 hours a day on the average day, but now just check up on the site. I don't have the most posts or anything, however. That is.... Xander? Erm...

I had the most posts for the first half of 2006. Then i went to summer camp and was gone for 4-5 weeks. If i hadn't ever left, I'd be near Xander/in the top 3 or 4.

Look up to Xander. Wait, his activity has suddenly been cut down a lot.
Look up to Vexen. Wait, I can't advocate Sith supremacy.
Look up to Siilos Vast! He left in 2006 and I'm sure he'll be back any day now

Shadow's post count is legitimate (as far as I know) - but it's not really comparable to here. The vast majority of Shadow's posts are from him and Ducki talking to each other in the chat thread with 0-2 sentence posts. We don't really do that here.

You can create a profile of your character...and then you can post
whatever you want or you can role-play or whatever....if you post
please pay attention to the date of the last post....I used to get hammered
for doing this...posting to old I mean really old (not days) old posts on the board....and then you learn by trial and error with the rest....hope this helps ya!!!
