I know that everyone hates spammers, but he said that he is coming back for a while which means that maybe he won't spam this time. If he does, then ban him. The point is, you shouldn't attack someone the moment they get back, because if they don't have bad intentions you could drive them off. Unless you think we have enough members now and it is safe to start driving off new ones.

Even though Sam is a spammer at heart he still made contributions to the site unlike Xgmama..ma.x?

Spam is spam still, by okaying it because Sam is a contributor you are condoning it but condemning it to a new member simply because they haven't contributed. To me spam is still bad no matter what member is doing it. It's annoying coming from person a and b.

That's what you said, that to me says you are condoning what Sam does which implies that spam is okay because it's Sam. Spam is spam as I said no matter who it comes from.

It's a different situation. Sam didn't really "spam" when he got back. He just made a bunch of chan style junk posts. Since he wasn't linking anywhere it wasn't spam.
There's a difference between advertising for your stuff and just being a bit too silly
