I'm a raver!I am sooo going to the next available Rave! Has anyone been to any really good raves lately? I am so excited. I'm like dying over the fact that my offical faviort type of music is now all Rave music and certian Techno. If there are fellow ravers out there, LETS! TALK! RAVE!

lol A Rave is like a concert except all the people there dress in flash colors and dance around with light sticks to the awesome, wonderful beat, of techno music. They can get pretty crazy. Little cloths most of the time but lots of fun none the less.

Your really should go if you can find a Rave. They are a whole lot of fun. When I go my friends and I get all decked out in candy and the brightest cloths that we can and we completely cut lose. You don't even have to dance techno its just fun to go and let go of everything and all out dance! Go to one, you'd like it.

Indeed! I've been to a couple raves myself, and although I liked them (I eventually got to make-out with this hot brunette in the back of my car. I think she was high on ecstasy. She wouldn't stop touching...everything!), I'd much rather MOSH! There's nothing like the full-on physical contact between people while listening to Death/Black/Thrash Metal, or Hardcore, or any other hard stuff out there. In my entire career of moshing, I've only been knocked down three times. God, I love it so much.
EDIT: The best thing about moshing: WALL OF DEATH! Think Braveheart, but no weapons. Two massive collections of people that wait for a countdown then charge head-on with each other. Until you experience one for yourself, you'll never understand.

At least at Raves you don't get the holy crap beat out of you and you come home and still have had fun. Personally, I don't care for either, though I've done both. (Moshing I prefer, because I prefer metal) Though I do like rave-like music, I just find them both pointless. That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, just like everyone else is entitled to theirs'. No one's gonna convince each other otherwise anyway. 
Few days from now this thread will still have a base structure of "Raving is best!" 'No Moshing!" "Raving!" '...Moshing!'

My dear, I have never been to a rave or a mosh. The only way I'll ever go is if you drag me to one. Why?
I've never been invited to one, or told where one is. 
I am not comfortable sometimes in public outings like that, but I'm trying to get comfortable. Part of my "growing" and "socializing" as you will.  Of course, you know this Raina.

My Dear, in our lives I think that I will eventually drag you to so many Raves that not only will you be able to name every song and band of techno that plays at said rave, you will be able to do individual dances to every song played in its own unique way. ^_^ Go and listen to a lot of my new music. You will see what I mean by that. lol...

Neither is moshing, I don't particularly enjoy being headbutted in the face, falling over then getting trampled on.

Honestly, the only people who are my friends that don't go to raves or moshes are very intelligent, kind, easy people to get along with. Maybe it's just a coincidence that all my friends, well, used to be my friends, that go to moshes are complete jackasses.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't like handing out with a bunch of high, sex crazed people or douchebag lunatics smashing me into the ground. I don't know.

It's not modern music I hate. It's just the mainstream crap that keeps getting pumped out every day. If I hear another Rhianna song I'll scream. There's no passion anymore. It's all about the money. We do. They bring in the guys who have lost kids and relatives to drugs to talk to us. It gets pretty deep. I'm one of those straight-edge people. No drugs, no alchohol, no tobacco.

And to Journey, I have heard a lot of lectures on drugs and alcohol, they're just kind of boring and I don't pay attention. I also don't have any problems with them, though.

Well the most common one - by far - is simply alcohol.
Benzodiazepines are the drug based alternative that gets slipped into drinks. They take various forms - I think the most common slang term is "roofies". Like large amounts of alcohol, they knock you out and induce temporary amnesia.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Obviously - like all drugs (even legal ones) - there's a chance you'll have a strong allergic reaction. Which could lead to death (since it's unlikely your rapist will be getting you medical attention).
But even beyond that, you have to consider that these are NOT medical professionals slipping this stuff into your drink. These are other kids who are trying to violate you. There's nothing stopping them from putting too much (or having been given too much in the first place) in your drink "just to be safe".
Overdose of these (and many drugs) can lead to permanent damage or death. And, again, if something goes wrong - your rapist is extremely unlikely to get you to a hospital.
And, if it's like most drugs, effect will vary based on your size. Larger people can usually absorb a larger amount of drugs without overdose (but obviously this is only a very slim margin) - a smaller person is easier to overdose.
