Ga'nen's artworkBecause I love seeing people's art and then posting my own, here are some samples of my work. There's probably a lot, but over the countless years I've made a lot.
I made this as a banner for TSC, it wasn't used but then again, that contest never went anywhere.
I made this for a character as his signature. This one is for another character.
This was made as a signature on another site that doesn't exist now.

Favorite banner ever, it was made of Hayden Christensen.
Maybe I will post some of my older work as I go because I think this is enough to bore you guys for hours. I really appreciate my older stuff more than the current and the stuff toward the bottom is my older work. I was much more creative on livejournal.

I do like the Hayden one. Pastels aren't my thing, but the elegant formatting is quite lovely.
Criticism? Ah, this one... 
I'm not a fan of the semi-transparent color lines in the first place - mostly because they seem to be passing over such random areas due to the centering. If you'd abandoned the centering and made it pass over each of their eyes or something (because that looks really good on the Red champion) - I think it'd be more interesting. Also, I'd have arranged the 3 champion's heads differently. I'd have moved the Red champion to the top, since he's looking downward it'd have the effect of him keeping an eye on everything - instead of just the audience like it is now. Then, I'd move the Yellow champion to the bottom. His eyes are looking upwards and to the left - this would have the effect of him looking at his main competitor, Harry, the surprise second champion from his school. The Pink champion can stay where she is 
But, that's my literalistic style coming out - maybe you were going for something different. |

When I made that I believe I was just utilizing a new style, where black and white meets colored lights. I never really thought about the actual positioning of the characters. But you are right about the repositioning of characters, Krum would look better on top and Cedric on the bottom. | ||||||||

Really great. Usually when people post their first artwork in a thread, the artwork isn't very good. This stuff is great. Only thing I would do is make them smaller. But that's my own bias. | ||||||||

that is actually small, weird. I suppose i could spoiler tag them and when people click them, SURPRISE!
I was hoping that the fact that they're actually pretty small in terms of file size it would help with loading but I can fix that in a jiffy. also thanks.

They are a bit too tall for my liking too. Once you go over 200 pixels tall - the focus of your posts (to the eye) shifts away from your text and more towards your signature. But that's just based on my personal observations.
I rather like the Elan avatar (avatar?! really? that's HUGE -- er... hm... getting distracted again). The purple hair looks rather natural actually. Also makes me think a bit of a Chiss/Zeltron hybrid. |

Avatars don't really have a maximum besides what forums put in place. I like large graphics, so i try to get my signatures as big as possible without disrupting the forum.
