Fury - Spoilers undoubtedlyOkay, so I just recently finished Fury and I don't think I saw a thread for this. Personally I really like Aaron Allston but this wasn't as good as Betrayal nor was it better than Inferno.
There was a little bit more action by the Jedi here, with Luke Skywalker approving a plan to 'capture' Caedus which really just turned out to be a mission to plant a tracking device on him so that they could find him aboard the Anakin Solo whenever they were within range.
Leia and them found a means to find Alema using information from Caedus' personal transport shuttle by breaking into the Anakin Solo. Well, sneaking in but either way it was fun to see them do this.
Jag and Jaina really just need to come together and be in a relationship already, the tension there is going to drive me insane. Though Jag, Jaina, Zekk, Han, and Leia finally managed to take out Alema which is a good thing because I was really starting to dislike her more and found her to just be a useless character after a while.
The Sith on Korriban finally make a strike by attacking alema as well because she was more of a threat than anything else. Especially because they wanted to keep themselves a secret.
Luke and Ben have a heart to heart conversation and Luke realizes that the Jedi Order does indeed need him and that he was sinking too fast into the pits. So with that the Jedi lead a group against Jacen to capture Allana and return her to Tenel Ka. While this is being planned Jacen plans to retake Centerpoint Station after he discovers that the Station is fully operational when it's used against him though without success.
The Battle for Centerpoint wasn't really emphasized, though Luke, Seba, Ben, Leia, Han, and Illel manage to sneak onto the Anakin Solo before being ratted out. Luke, Seba, and Ben go after Caedus to keep him distracted while Leia leads Han and Illel to get Allana back. There wasn't much with Leia and them besides rescuing Allana, and even less action going on between Caedus and the three Jedi sent to keep him occupied. Seba almost got killed but made it out and Caedus finally realized what was happening before it was too late. Everyone escaped and a group that was sent to neutralize Centerpoint Station succeeded and when the galaxy's most feared weapon was about to fire on Coruscant it basically destroyed itself because of sabotage.
Leia realizes that Allana is Jacen's daughter though it was moments before allana said that Jacen was her father (but that's because Jacen revealed that earlier).
Ben also tells Leia about his idea/theory that Jacen is the true murderer of his mother. Leia does not push the idea away but tells him he needs to be sure of his answer. Ben is now eager to prove that his theory is correct.
Some things I left out because I went to fast include Kyle Katarn losing a fight with Caedus and almost dying. The Jedi's small strike on Jacen's ship while Jacen is being tricked into an attack so that the Corellians can kill him with Centerpoint Station.
All in all it was all right, but Inferno was still much more exciting to read and there was a canonical era at the end about who killed Darth Maul. It said that Qui-Gon Jinn killed Maul instead of Obi-Won.

Yeah that error was funny.
Is Alema finnaly dead?
And Kyle ticked me off by living.

Well, there wasn't any indication that they felt her death, but then again Alema wasn't that powerful so I wonder if that's why her death wasn't very significant. -shrug- Jag did shoot her pretty well but then again the Solusar's are alive and so is katarn.

How many times has Alema been "killed off" 3 times now?
I hope Katarn is killed sooner or later...though preferably sooner.

The error was in the preview to Revelations was it not? It's probably going to be fixed.
I've heard this is the best one so far, and look forwards to reading it.

You're right, it is in the preview for revelation.
But in my defense, the preview for Revelation is indeed at the end of Fury.

Haha, true.
But yes, I'd heard about it, and I think it's being fixed, or at least Sue said it will be.

About halfway through and loving it. Allston is truly the author for this series. He's managed to solve Traviss' random mentions of Boba in her three books by mentioning him several times and the gauntlets he gave to Han. He keeps the character of Jacen almost exactly the same as in Inferno, and still manages to wrap up the stories he set out in his first two.
Loving this so far.
