1. I start off the thread by posting a song (This song can be anything you want, of any genre of music. Post the song name, artist, and a link)
2. The person who posts after me listens to the song I posted and give a rating (1-10, 1 being ear-drilling horrible and 10 being super awesome fantastic!) and a sentence or two of why they gave that rating
3. That person then posts a song of their choice, and the cycle goes on...
Additional Rules:
Please listen to the song in its entirety and give at least a half decent reason for the rating you gave. And don't give every song a 1 and support it by saying "that type of music sucks". (Yes, I will listen to a rap song if I must )
If the song you're posting contains explicit inappropriate content of any kind, please put a warning down.
Wow. Obviously you don't know what real music is, seeing as that you gave an improvised song by a couple of geniouses a 2, and then posted My Chemical Romance(quite the poodooish band IMO) calling it 'art'.
But this is forced listening so...
I give it a 4. The lyrics are cliched and the pathetic excuse for guitar playing killed me inside.
I'll give a five because it was intricate but barely keep my attention.
Now I'm gonna give you a blast from the past. IF IT WASN"T FOR THE NIGHTS by ABBA.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dihWJsLsO0c
Cimil
God please keep that back in the crypt. I'll be generous and give it a two because it might have been better back in the day. And I had to actualy look the song up.
8 because it was to short. Anyway I don't really have anything bad to say about it except that...oh and some of it was a bit hard to hear. Nothing that a volume adjustment couldn't fix though. Ya anyway1:40 is way to short. The feel of the song is really good and fun, I could party to it.
So ya I took 2points off for its length because as soon as you start jamming its over.
Bohemian Rhapsody! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irp8CNj9qBI
If you give this less then an 8 then you know nothing of the old days and deserve to be forcefully made to listen to hours of classic music.
BTW P.S. when grading songs PLEASE OH PLEASE step outside your views and try to understand why people like the song. Otherwise its just not fair to grade it on one view.. dun be stupid plox

I don't even need to listen to that song (but I did). A perfect 10. Expertly written. Queen never disappoints. Freddie Mercury FTW. Starts soft. Backing vocals are amazing. Guitar kicks in around 2:40. It's beautiful. It's a rock opera that kicks your butt. 4:08 more amazing guitar. Perfect. My top ten favorite songs of all time.
4. It's by Jimi Hendrix, so I guess it's not garbage, and simple is good, but the electric guitar was distasteful and it sounded like pixelated video-game music.
I give it a ten, for two reasons. 1. Whats better than Hendrix? I mean, really. And 2 he's one of the only good things to come from my state. Here's and odd one
Despite some Communist idiots posting it with Soviet symbols, this is not a Soviet song. It's pre-Soviet folk music, though the opera is sung by the Red Army choir (don't be hatin' man, it's a great opera.... London, Berlin, and Cleveland are noted for having the best orchestras in the world though )

Why did Cimil take 7 minutes to make that post? lulul
Darth Samuel
cause the clip i posted was 11 minutes long.

Invictus, I give that a 7 simply because it was captivating to a degree.
One more ABBA song to make Cimil's ears bleed.Lay All Your Love On Me , a sexy song by ABBA.
I give the song a 7, Leon. Excellent matching to the scenery in the clip and everything, but it IS the Disney song Good though, and from the times of good Disney.
It it undistict and is easily lost in the whim of his other songs. There's no way I'll remember the beat or the lyrics of this song, but it's professionally performed and I enjoy Michael Jackson. Not one of his best, but still art.
Original lyrics, and a pleasant melody, but somewhat lacking instrumental multitude... Just a guitar, E-keyboard and drums, basically. But I dig it, so even though I'd've given it less score for few instruments, making it sound a bit thin, I'll ignore that, since I enjoyed it.

Now, for a song you've surely heard multipludleqouple times before, a song most of us have come to dread, but some of us love to hate it...
+ Original lyrics with some real meaning and some heart put into it
+ The singer had a pleasant voice
- The melody was very repetative and didn't offer much more in the refrain, as a song should according to me.
I was prepared for that to blow chunks (Especially after you said you didn't like AC/DC... Blasphemy!!), but I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard an awful lot worse in that genre of music.
Ah... 7.5?
I'd give it a 7, but I'll boost it a bit for the always amusing irony of heavily commercialized and over the top things trying to make a statement about... how heavily commercialized things are.
Watch whichever tickles your fancy. The modern one is done a bit better in my opinion, but uses a slightly shorter version of the song.

I think that's the point they're making though Rive. Their new album is out Friday and there haven't been any advertisments for it. Their two singles have received barely any radio play despite being a quite mainstream band. Their first single's video clip (not sure about this one) was sung live, not lip-synched.

I loved it. I always enjoy classical music done right. 10/10!
Since Rive put me in the mood:
One Winged Angel by The Black Mages.
My favorite song to mix rock and classical music so awesomely. Plus, TBM are just awesome. XD

9/10 man!
We were supposed to play that for Orchestra, but my director thought it was too hard. ):<
It also makes me frakking paranoid, if I listened to that in the shower I will cry.
Pretty good. Thought provoking and inspiring. 8/10!
I'll knock out two birds with one stone:
Prequel to the Sequel by Between the Buried and Me
This is my favorite band. Now you can hear awesome music while someone gets 100% playing it on RB2 on Expert.
EDIT: I realized that many of you might not want to watch the song being played on Rock Band. So:
Prequel to the Sequel (Live) Them performing the song live. I chose this video to show everyone that watches it how fluidly they transfer from one song to another when they perform live. So the first thirty seconds or so is the ending to another song.
Prequel to the Sequel For all you people that hate listening to music from live performances.

Meh, 6/10. Not bad, but I'm not that into screamo types, but I did like the beat sorta lol.
