Favorite comediansI have to say I love Jim Gaffigan, Jeff Dunham, Demitri Martin, Lewis Black, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
I kind of like Brain Regan, Blue Collar Guys, Dave Chapelle, and Gabriel Igleseas.
I can't stand Dane Cook and Chris Rock. Dane cook is, IMO, not funny at all, and Chris Rock annoys the hell out of me.
Feel free to share your favorites, least favorites, and why you like/dislike them.

Smothers Brothers. Without them, there wouldn't be Stewart/Colbert, and they were the first to have the balls to stand up to the government at that time. Also, Red Skelton is hilarious. I loves the old guys.
For new Ones, Bob Saget. I'd post some material from him, but I'd probably get permanently banned.

I liked Dane Cook before he became super popular. I saw his special on Comedy Central a few nights ago - which I think is the first one he's done since he achieved superstar status. Couldn't stand him. It's gone to his head.
I'd say I like about half of Dave Chapelle's stuff. A bit more than half of Lewis Black's stuff.
Stewart and Colbert are almost always gold - especially when they do anything together. That's why I've only missed a couple of their episodes over the past 3 or 4 years. They're really all I need in terms of comedy these days
And yes Sam, Bob Saget is waaaaaaaay beyond forum level appropriate. I will post my favorite joke from his special though - since it was a clean joke and the profanity was just superfluous so I can cut it out. This is just how I remember it - not an exact quote.
"So one day John Stamos (Full House co-star) and I are driving along and we see this car just spin out and off the road. And we look around and nobody is stopping! They all thought their jobs were more important than whoever was in this car. Anyway, luckily Stamos and I were out of work at the time so we stopped. So this car is still spinning like a top and it stops and we look in the window. And so this woman is unconscious and is just waking back up. So she looks up and sees me and John Stamos. She must have thought she died and went to sitcom hell."

I am reading George Carlin's book and it's hilarious, i love to read it at work and laugh alone at my desk. People then people in the office ask me what's wrong.

...DOT COM!
My Favorite Jeff Dunham joke(or something along the lines of it)
Walter: One day I saw a guy pull into a handicap spot and get out pefectly fine. Don't you hate that?
Audience/Jeff: Yeah!
Walter: I ran his a s s over. Made an honest man outta' him.
*Laughter*
Walter: Then his Grandma came out waving her crutches!
*shock and laughter*
Walter: ...Took her out with the door.
*Laughter*
I don't know why that gets me every time.

Rofl-mc-freakin'-mao.
Same joke here. I prefer Peanut to Walter, but that joke is the ultimate best.

Ackmed owns them both.

Achmed is okay, but I really really like Walter the best.

Achmed was very funny - but I can't see him being able to do much with him that he hasn't already done. There's a very limited range of jokes and they'll all be dated soon. Walter is timeless

Jim Gaffigan, Jeff Dunham, Lewis Black, Stephen Colbert (who I got to film and is even funnier off camera), Dave Chapelle, Gabriel Igleseas, Dane Cook ("Harmful If Swallowed" and before, everything else sucks), and Mitch Hedberg.

Favourite Comedians? Here goes...
Billy Connolly, Bill Bailey, Richard Pryor, Dylan Moran, Eddie Murphy (Stand-up is hilarious), Jim Jeffries... erm, I'll think of some more later.

I really like Arj Barker, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee - Australian Comedy/Radio duo - and Steven K. Amos. Though I don't watch a lot of stand up so I'm not really up to date on all the good comedians.
