Fanfic disscosionI was thinking like thr RP disscosin we could have a fanfic disscosion to talk about fanfics or even if they want a sneak prviw of a fanfic. Huh? whatcha think?

I really don't understand this forum at times. You'll add a roleplay discussion forum, but not a fanfiction one.
They are relatively the same thing. Why not just edit the Roleplay discussion forum to read: "Roleplay & Fanfiction Discussion". All the discussion goes in there.

That's a sound system.
I just don't see the purpose in having a roleplay discussion at any rate and feel whatever action should be done in-character.
On fan fiction, discussion threads seem to work on DSL without too much trouble.

Some people discuss the fanfiction in the same thread that it was posted in.

And that, my good sir, is where you fail. 
Not all "actions" can be done IC. There are the issues of conflicting plots thanks to certian.. ahem.. less skilled.. roleplayers that have to be sorted out, as well as "Is this canon?" issues. It also provides the RPers with a place to discuss certian plot twists, that some members of the RP may or may not find acceptable.
For example, its much more plausible for me to go ask Vexen in a Roleplay discussion thread if he and the other sith think it'd be a good idea for the ewoks to enter a battle on the side of the republic, turning the tide, than if I were to say "Dakoth comm'd Vexen, asking him if he was allowed to bring in reinforcements to help annihilate the sith."

Lyn, he means a forum for discussion of fanfictions. I agree with TCO, rename the RP discussion forum to include FF forum, and move all non-Fanfiction threads (i.e Discussion threads or threads a la Xander's Fact File) into it.
