EPL And RelatedAnyone here a fan of the EPL? What team do you support if you do?
Just started it because Hull lost 2-1 to Arsenal this morning in the FA Cup and I wanted to have a good rant about how Gallas was off-side.

Oh yeah! I'm a big fan of the EPL! Aside from the fact that I had to google it to remember what it is. I did remember that it has to do with European soccer, but I didn't remember much else. I actually do like soccer, but no one else in my house does, so I don't watch much of it.

I'm assuming EPL is English Premier League?
|
Xander Vos

It is indeed.
It's big over here...
It's like the NBA or the NFL... Even if you aren't an American you still keep one eye on it.

Hell, of course I'm into it! Chelsea ftw.
I was also the mascot for Everton... against Chelsea. So I was happy when Everton lost 4-1, but I had to not show it.

Tim Cahill plays for Everton, only reason I like them.
Hull City FTW!!

It's ironic that I play football (soccer) but know nothing of this "EPL".

Are you kidding...
You've never heard of Manchester United? David Beckham's old club? Liverpool? Chelsea? Arsenal?

David Beckham rings a bell. That's about it.

Rings a bell?!
The most famous ever soccer player... rings a bell...
*faints*

Most famous soccer player ever? That distinction lies with Pele.

Not at all...

Ha, saw that one coming.
Yes, I am a fan of the Premiership, I support Newcastle United seen as Alan Shearer was my favourite player (Outside of Scotland) growing up.
Anyway, you should watch a proper league like the SPL, and support Celtic while your at it, especially seen as our only decent forward is an Aussie.

Rangers ftw

Evidently Not, seen as Celtic beat them in the Co-operative Insurance Cup last weekend.

We drew with you last week... Shoulda won.
Haha yeah I know, we're constantly reminded of all the goals he's scoring. Why hasn't he been approached by an EPL club? Or has he made it clear he'd rather play in the SPL?

Honestly, I don't know, he is a quality player. He could start for any team outside of the big 4 in the Premiership excluding maybe Tottenham.
The thing is though, a few years back when he was playing for Motherwell, he scored twice on the final day of the season against Celtic, costing them the league title, and as a Celtic fan himself he probably feels he owes us.
Scott MacDonald is a wee legend anyway no matter what he did for another team, tries his hardest every game and scores plenty of important goals.

And yet I don't think he gets the call up for Australia which is really quite odd.

Ah yes. I Googled this mysterious "David Beckham".
Tagged for, ehh..... content?

He was in the squad for the last game, but didn't get on to play, ridiculous considering he is involved in a big title run in here in Scotland, and ridiculous considering how good he is.

Heh, well, Celtic are better, but I prefer Rangers. Probably because when I used to play Fifa 05 on the PS2, I managed Rangers and won the Champion's League

I don't even know if he's in the squad for the game I'm attending on April 1st against Uzbekhistan.

I believe the blanket has been digitally enhanced... So I've heard.
Koirs: I hope he's not, he's probably suffering from burnout as it is due to the fact our other two main strikers are complete dross (Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Georgios Samaras). We have an international break that week too and I would far prefer if McDonald was able to rest up.

Wouldn't surprise me.
Oh ok, yeah I'm not too fussed. We have Kewell back in, who scored an amazing goal for Galatacery or however you spell it, and looks quite sharp.

Galatasary
Good to hear that Kewell is back on form, he used to be one of my favourite players in the Premiership back when he played for Leeds, him and Mark Viduka (Another Celtic alum).
|
Xander Vos
|
Hmph, close enough.
Viduka's at Newcastle now, correct? I think he's injured though. Kinda weird to think Kewell used to play for Liverpool.
Cahill's probably our 'best' player at the moment because he's such a success at Everton.

Just to confirm, Scott McDonald is indeed going to be featuring in the squad for the Australia game vs. Uzbekistan. He scored again at the weekend so here's hoping he can get his first goal for his country too.

On what level? I could make the worst team beat the best team in any league if I set it on the easiest level. On semi-pro, probably, on professional, probably not (on occasion, maybe), on World Cup, I couldn't. I play fifa games on xbox though.
|
Crozeus

I think at that time it was semi-pro. I play Fifa 09 on professional.

Yeah, so do I. I lose a lot though. I was better at 08. Or maybe I just used better teams in 08...
|
Xander Vos

Yeah I used to play FIFA 09 on the second easiest setting but that was too hard by FAR, so I went to the easiest and I started winning like 10-0. So stupid...
I did the Career one where you choose one player, and the goal would be like "Score a hat trick" and on the second easiest setting I'd not even kick a goal, in the easiest I'd get like 7.
