Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog!I previously linked this in the link thread - but that was when it was time exclusive. It stopped being free on July 20th. But now, inexplicably, all 3 acts of Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog are back up officially online for free! And it's still pretty much the best thing ever.Watch it, or I will zap you with my freeeeeze raaaay. I've found myself absentmindedly humming all the songs for the past two weeks... like... All. The. Time. Thankfully, my friends and loved ones are just as crazy as me and start singing along

Grah. Alright. How about these? They're a bit lower quality, but I bet they work anywhere since they're not official. They've been up since the original free airings over a week ago - so I doubt they'll be brought down anytime soon.

Rui got me to watch it, and it wasn't too bad. I never really laughed though, if it was supposed to be funny...It was worth watching. | ||

Mmm, it's more supposed to be clever and witty funny than "HA!" funny.
There were a few moments I can remember making me laugh out loud though... Horrible: "See you at the aftermath!" *instant cut to him looking rather scuffed up* "...The freeze ray needs work." Hammer: "I hate the homeless--" *flips to second cue card* "ness problem that plagues our city." Hammer: "This is sooo nice. I just might sleep with the same girl twice. They say it's better the second time. They say you get to do the weird stuff." Hammer Groupies: "We do the weird stuff!" |

I just saw this a few days ago and it was brilliant!
"Sarcasm WOW, that's original!" This is better quality than most broadway musicals, I loved it. Speaking of which, does anyone (Rive?) know when Dollhouse starts? I believe that's Joss Whedon's new project. |

I ended up buying the soundtrack off iTunes when it came out 2 or 3 weeks ago. There's only very minor differences between it and the video version, but it's higher quality audio and I decided it was worth $10 for the convenience of not needing to rip/organize the tracks myself. AND I didn't mind giving more money to the "Doctor Horrible 2" fund 
14 songs on the album for $10. But I found it pretty hilarious that they allow you to buy the "Horrible Theme" and "Bad Horse Chorus (Reprise)" on their own for $1 - they're less than 30 seconds long so if you hit the "preview" button, it plays the whole thing

Right, I'll end up giving even MORE money to Joss Whedon and crew when the DVD comes out.
But it'll be worth it. Since they announced it's going to have an Act IV added (I wonder what direction they'll go with that...) and that the commentary track is going to be a musical sung the producers/writers

It's not Doctor Horrible 2, but it is something new 
"Big glossy, shiny, gloss-covered entertainment" It did, in fact, end up winning the Emmy. But that was no real surprise since it was basically a special category created especially for it (which Whedon makes a joke about). |
