You get shot in the stomach, and you hoist the flag. Due to the screen turning to a shaded yellow, I always assumed you died. And yes, Reznov owns. The knife he uses is a butcher's knife, and cut meat it did.... |

Nazi zombies themselves aren't the creepy part.
It's the fact that their really quiet and sometimes when you turn around WHAM you got owned. Nobody plays Nazi zombies online though. Nacht der Untoten starting cinematic owns. My favorite level apart from the Reichstag? It's a tie: Best Picture: I have to say "Vendetta". What could be cooler in a dark way than siting amongst dead Russians while ravens pick your face off? Second-to-Reichstag-best-level: Ring of Steel with the tanks (or is that Dark Iron?) is amazing, but that's only because it has tanks. Any level where you can banzai stab an enemy- particularly the Japanese Temple final-level- is my fav. |

True, the tank level is, IMO, the hardest in the game. But I love it because there weren't any tanks in COD4.
Also, I hate tanks online. It's a cool feature, but it's more of a quick killing spree than a good weapon to rely on. |

Took me about 15 minutes. I'm still trying to figure out everything on GIMP. I'm having some trouble with layering, but I'll figure it out. Still need to download some better fonts and brushes. Edit: I don't know what the frak's up with the lettering on this one. |

It's better then what I did when I started out with GIMP. I would add a boarder though.
To do that add a new transparent layer then select all then under edit select stroke path with selection. |

I am personally waiting for a proper Pokemon MMORPG. I truly think it would be epic. Anyone else with me?
I mean, picture it: starting off in Pallet, New Bark, or the other two I now forget, choosing a starter Pokemon, and working up your respective gyms like usual, except they throw in a much bigger plot line that would over-arch all four regions, and you can battle real people along the way. You'd be able to travel to all four regions, catch a lot more Pokemon, and the Elite Four could be the Tournament that is in the show, with real people competing at certain times each week. |

Overall it looks pretty good, Sirak. You've integrated the Sith Stalker guy well into the scene from The Old Republic trailer (if I'm identifying the elements right).
The only problem is the stark separation that occurs in the lower half of the image when you switch to a different background (presumably because The Old Republic image didn't go any lower). It'd probably be better if you gradiented it to black - or at least gradiented into the second image.
Normally the problem with kid-friendly MMO's is that they cripple the chat system out of fear of children being kidnapped and/or corrupted. But here I think a crippled chat system would actually be pretty hilariously appropriate. You're fighting someone else with your Charmander (or modern equivalent - are the original 150 still around? I have no idea  ) and they knock it out. A little screen comes up.
Your Charmander has been knocked out! Select response. "Charmander, no! You'll pay for that!" "Ha! You'll have a tougher time with my next Pokemon... ARBOK (or whatever pokemon you select)! Go!" "Arbok, go!" "Arbok will show you my real skill as a Pokemon trainer!" "You may have beat my fire type, but let's see how you deal with a poison type! Go, Arbok!" "No! That's impossible! There's no way Charmander could be defeated so easily!" "I--I can't beat you." (Surrender) And then your character would voice that in a standard overly emotive cartoony fashion to the other player

Ha, yeah I think it'd work nicely, keeping with the theme of the original Pokemon. Having trainers calling each other n00bs wouldn't feel right.

I THINK that's the thing Dakoth linked to ages ago, if it does ever get up and running fully I'd love to give it a whirl.
This year a huge chunk of my year reverted to a childhood state and started playing Pokemon again so I learnt all about EV training.
I really think even if this site declines, the core chunk of us should still be able to group together in MMORPG's such as TOR one coming out soon, because that way at least we'd all stick together. (Wow, three almost completely seperate trains of thought just came out then )

Right, we'll certainly try to insure that anyone/everyone who gets TOR plays on the same server.
Although it'd be harder to convince everyone to focus mainly on one faction over the other
But, with almost 4 years under the belt of Rebels, I don't see a permanent decline in the foreseeable future. |

I just like the idea of us all being on the same server and almost creating a 'gang', just as a way of sticking together. The MMORPG probably wouldn't allow individual groups, but it'd be cool to have a bunch of Jedi running around affiliated to the Bakuran Jedi Order.
It'd certainly introduce a new way of RPing and allow a new way to chart forum canon back when the Order was starting up. Remind me, when's this game set? Could possibly be only about a hundred or so years into Bakura's existence. |

In 3,610 BBY according to the Timeline, is Trask's first appearence (If you don't know who Trask is, you clearly aren't a hardcore follower of The Timeline ) and the order is still extremely young, only having been founded in about 3,800 BBY, so it would give us a wide range of scope to much more tightly tie our order with the real canon if we all got involved - with new characters - in the same server.

I'm not sure what you mean by "individual groups". I'm not sure if ANY MMO out there doesn't support "guilds" - so there's that. Although we might have trouble with people leaving if Bioware introduces content that requires 25+ people to do like Warcraft (ugh, I hope not). If you mean people playing together - well, we're completely sure that 2 people can group up for missions and such. I'd suspect they'll support the standard MMO 4-6 person group. |

By that I mean, if we all wanted to be Jedi, would we all have a backstory as Republic Jedi doing a certain thing, or would we just be generic Jedi? Or has that sort of info not been released yet? I mean, I just have this image of a group of us on there as the Bakuran Jedi running around and doing a lot of cool missions. |

Bummer. I used to play a lot of games with Lyn I think, would be fun to just have a random game ganging up on n00bs. I had a look a few months back and played a standard game against an AI, but the online server did have a couple of people floating around on it. | ||

Most MMOs don't have an extremely cohesive story. It's generally "here's a dungeon - fight the bad guys. If you want to know what it's about - read the few paragraphs of backstory on our website." However, Bioware has been saying "Story! Story! STORY! That's what's missing from MMOs and we're going to have it!" Basically they've said that every character (all 8 of them) are going to have their own long story arc that's basically a full game in it's own self. So there will be an "in game" story arc, but you can ignore that if you want to define your character differently when you type in the chat box, I suppose. Hehe. Though there's obviously room for character development within the context of the game engine as well, if you saw the 20 minute gameplay preview video - you saw that moment where the Sith character was given the option to spare the starship captain or kill him. |

Well, I'm not sure how "identical" the development will be, but you're right that - according to the game - we'll all be Tython Jedi (or Troopers, or Smugglers, or the Fourth Unrevealed Class) allied with the Republic. | ||

Since DotA isn't working, I just had a try and got completely pwned by a Normal AI within five minutes. Granted I haven't played WIII in over a year or so and couldn't remember how it actually worked.
