Currency?You know I just thought of a pretty good idea to boost activity with in the fourm. What if we had some kind of currency? Like....Gold...or Credits? I'm not really sure what you could BUY with them, but I think it would boost activity by a lot. You can win FREE Gold or Credits by postingX amount a day and Xmany times and you can get X stuff with it.

No idea what we could "get" with it - maybe roleplaying items, though not hardly as many people roleplay anymore. We've tried things like this in the past - never really worked. And...x amount of post for x amount of credits...bad idea.

How come its a bad idea? Like you can only get a certian amount of credits a day but weather or not you get maximum credits is up to you. Maybe we could buy saber's or something like that. Any kind you want, but it depends.

I've seen this used before...it was used ti buy ships and sabers....or sigs if the person wanted to charge...and you got it through playing the sites games...or through posting alot.

There is a system that could be used if the site upgraded to a paid server, but I don't think it's right for Rebels.

That was a fun game at first, but it takes the fun out of the imaginative RPing. I like to keep it free for your sabers, ships and abilities, etc. No need to put a leash on the fun.

It'd be a bad idea because it would encourage spam posting to rake in your daily credit allowance rather than coming here to actually discuss things.

I hate the idea of currency.
Perhaps, in character, it would be wise to impose *some* currency restrictions.
For instance, a bounty hunter wouldn't be a multi-trillionare and be able to BUY OUT the Sith/Jedi empire. However, it's completely realistic to say they were modestly-greatly wealthy if they were skilled. But we'll have a blackmark system (that is, taking note of poor profiles) rather than whitemark (having to approve each and every profile).
I hate currencies. Don't do it. Plus, it'll increase spam to get x posts.
