Re: Cimil's Fan Art

[quote="Cimil"]Ok, this is my first attempt at making art with gimp, I'll admit it's rather simple and crappy but don't rag on me too much.

I made these rankings, they're like conversions though...

- This is like a Sith warrior, or something

- Well this is just a simple jedi knight

-This is like a sith lord or something I guess

- Weapons Master

-Force Sensitive

A few sigs...

Io Lee

For sig size I would recommend 425x125

The weapons expert- try to use a different color

This is how big 425x125 will be. If you have any basic questions pm or if you have advanced questions such as effects and stuff pm Adenn or Embeion

Also you can go here www.dafont.com or www.1001fonts.com for more texts. I also believe that 1001fonts has paintbrushes to so enjoy looking.

Viner Hand? (for font)
Lord Embeion

Heres some help on background faded effects.

Go to Dialogs on the main window and select 'Layers'. Now a window should come up with the layers in it. Go to the image you want to add an effect to, right click it and select 'new layer'. Now you have a new transparent layer over the image.

1. Select the brush you like.
2. Add it to the image in which fashion you choose.
3. Choose an effect, in the Layers menu you'll see 'Mode:' above the Opacity line. These modes will change the effect of the image, now the color of the brush and the color of the image will make each effect different. So if one of the effects makes the brush images pink, on another image it might not make them pink..

Heres an example of the Overlay mode.

Image edited with white color brush-

Usually with a black background alot of colors and effects won't show. Notice how the Overlay effect only makes the brush layer appear on the blue.
