Aimira

Twi'leks originate from a dry and arid planet in the outer rim called Ryloth. The rotation of the planet is exactly the same as its orbital period, which essentially means that the planet is always stuck in one position relative to the sun , ergo one side is in perpetual daytime (known as the brightlands to the Twi'leks) and one side in eternal night (occasionally referred to as the darklands). Twi'leks generally inhabit the thin strip of land that lies between in deep subterranean cities. These are sealed off from the surface by giant magnetic seal doors, or crude portcullis's to protect the inhabitants from the vicious animals that stalk the lands.
The Twi'lek ace is relatively speaking a very simple one in regards to technology. This is generally thought to have been caused by the sense of timelessness on the planet. A single day lasts from the moment the planet was created to the moment the planet is once again consumed by fire. Therefore no real way to notate the distinction of the passing of time was established.
Subsequently the primitive race has been preyed upon by slavers from the galaxy over, the Twi’leks make rich and easy pickings. They generally end up being sold as dancers and entertainers, but Twi’lek males are often sold off to mercenary armies.

Twi'leks are immediately distinguishable by their lekku - giant head tails that hang generally down to their waists. Twi'leks generally speak Ryl (native tongue of Ryloth) or through precise movements of their lekku. Very few ever learn to speak basic.
The Twi'lek race is split into three distinct 'sub races' dependant on the colour of their skin most common of which is green. The other two colours are rarer - blue (Rutan) and the rarest of them all red (Lethan), though there are many other colours occasionally found from brown to yellow to purple. Some Twi'leks dye their skin to form giant body arts known as Ayy vida.

Twi'leks however perforate all levels of society, and are not just restricted to being slaves, Orn Free Taa, for example was a prominent Ambassador and member of the council of the republic, Bib Fortuna was the right hand man of the infamous hutt, Jabba the Hut.
Aaylas'ecura however was the most known Twi'leks at the time of the clone wars, being not only a Jedi, but a Rutan skinned Jedi, besides being a female. She was a gleaming gem of hope to those fleeing slavery back on Ryloth.

Five words eh?...

Athletic - Does more with her body than with the force generally
Robust - She isn't a person that will fall at the first obstacle she comes across.
Adaptable - Can adapt to survive in harsh environments (grew up on a hot world -Ryloth, and has travelled to very cold worlds -Ando prime etc)
Calm - She doesn't easily get into a flap, taking things as they come.
Reflective - She likes to look into herself to find answers to things.

The Miralukan people are an ancient race, deeply in tune with the force. Their connection with it is so strong that they no longer rely on photoreceptors for sight, they see through the force. Because of this Most Miraluka have no iris or pupil of the eye, just the white of the eyeball, or no eyes at all leaving only empty eye sockets. Other than this they retain a very normal human physique.
One of the most recognisable pieces of wear that a Miraluka adorns is a face veil of sorts that covers up the top half of their faces; this is in an effort to look “normal”, as they have found that their appearance is otherwise disconcerting to humans.

The Miralukan race originates from the planet Alpheridies, but several other worlds have been colonised by the species throughout the millennia in the mid rim and outer rim areas, the most notorious of which was Katarr.
Katarr was situated in the mid rim. The planet was made famous during the old, old republic era around the time of the Jedi civil war. The planet was playing host to a hidden council meeting of Jedi, in order to discuss the threat that lurked in the darkness that picked the Jedi off one by one. The council was gathered n the planet due to the abundance of the force in both the planet and its people, as it was hoped that this would cloak the council’s presence.
Unfortunately however it was not enough, the Lord of Hunger – Darth Nihilus, came to the planet and drained it, and every other living thing on the planet, dry of the force, killing the planet itself.

Only one being was rumoured to have survived this strike – a Miraluka named Visas Marr. She was taken under the dark lords wing and trained in the ways of the Sith. Later she was sent after the one remaining Jedi in the galaxy, a Jedi exile no less. Visas was defeated in the ensuing battle between the two. The Jedi exile there upon converted Visas to the light side of the force and together defeated Darth Nihilus.
Unfortunately the name of the exile was lost to the murky depths of time. Visas Marr however remains the greatest known Miraluka to date.

Lando Calrissian is a man whose reputation proceeds him throughout the galaxy. The reputation however, much like the man himself is shady. The only thing possibly shadier is the mans history, of which nothing is known up to the age of 27.
What very little is known however, points to Lando originating from the planet Socorro, a colony of the Correllians.
From the looks of things Lando was a prolific yet talented gambler from an early start, quickly rising in prestige amongst the gambling community. It was around the age of 27 that he made his first big win - a battered and olt YT-1300 by the name of the Millennium Falcon. He loving upgraded the ship over several years, adding pretty much the entire arsenal to the ship, including the two hidden forward proton torpedo tubes.

Lado regrettably lost the ship to a Han Solo, during a high stakes sabacc game in the cloud city sabacc tournament. Subsequently Lando built up quite a relationship with the man that had won his most prized ship, and partook with him several missions in aid of the rebellion.
Luck eventually turned his way again, entering another high stakes tournament, with substantial baking from an unnamed person or group, allowing him to win the game, and win cloud city for himself. It was later discovered that the backer had in fact been lobot, in conjunction with all the workers on the city, in an effort to be rid of the then owner of cloud city. This was his first great entrepreneur phase. He successfully lead Cloud city for several years, helping seek out new Tibana deposits. However like all good things it was not to last. The Empire soon found out about Cloud city, and quickly annexed the station.

Lando managed to aid the escape of Leia Organa, Chewbaca, C3pO R2 D2 and Luke Skywalker from the station and out of the grasp of Lord Vader, which earned him the rank of general in the Rebel Navy. His carrer with them culminated with his successful attack on the second death star, helping deliver a blow from which the Empire could never recover.

Lando also played a key role during the Yuuzhan Vong war through another venture of his: Tendrano arms, which developed the YVH-1 the ultimate anti Vong weapon.

Lando is a man of surprising depths, and talents, making him one of the greatest men in the galaxy, Jedi or no. If he is involved in any struggle, you instantly have a far better chance than you did before, even if the odds look impossible.

Aimira cast off her cloak, revealing her twin sabres beneath. They glistened in the gentle white light, patiently waiting at their masters side. She stood casually waiting her master.

Necto walked in and pulled out a small book. "this will test your reaction to the unknown along with your will and speed. I am not your master I am not known to you you are a complete stranger. Now let use begin" Necto said

"Very well" Aimira responded, careful not to let 'master' slip out. She drew still stood still, but now had spaced her legs out, shoulder width apart, and was flexing her knees slightly. She removed her primary sabre from her belt and observed the small LED display as she began dramatically reducing the energy output, to the point it was all but harmless. Once this small task had been completed she took her sabre up to a lower ura Soresu stance, before wheeling around to a semi - crouched Shien form.

"Now... lets get to reading." Necto siad reading the book. aimira surprised sliced at her "master" but Necto dodged. "were are you looking?" Necto asked dodgeing every strike untill he decided to force push her back. "Try again." Necto said puting away his book

"That sir..." Aimira began replying, intently focusing, "Is where many people fail, even today’s, yesterdays and tomorrows masters. Some focus on the feet...", she quickly gestured towards her opponents feet with her free hand, "in order to observe their opponents rhythm, there timing, there beat if you will. Others prefer to focus on the hands...", this time she gestured with her eyes towards her opponents hands, "which is natural i suppose, as it is the hands that carry the weapon, master Jedi Obi-wan Kenobi was an excellent example of this observational technique. Some prefer to watch the weapon itself, as it is the object you wish to avoid. Most prefer to watch the eyes however, as they often give away what your opposition is about to do, or at least try to attempt. The final general point of observation is the body, again like the eyes, it often shows you how and when your opponent is about to strike. It is most likely the most effective way of focusing on any individual part of the body". Aimira paused for a moment, and began circling her prey, all the while remaining in a defensive stance.

"Then there is the smallest group of observers, the group I fall into, the group only the most advanced martial artists fall into, masters such as the great Jedi Weapons Master Mace Windu. When I say this I do not mean that I am an elitist, nor anywhere the best practitioner alive, only that my knowledge and understanding of martial discipline is shall we say, somewhat above the usual standard”, she paused for a moment, getting back on track once more.
” This group focuses on nothing yet everything. It is a style 'commonly' known as 'gaze beyond'. I focus beyond my opponent, taking no special notice of any part of him or her" Aimira concluded, halting her movement with the largest light source in the room to her back.

"I have travelled far and wide, and encountered many teachings and philosophies on my journeys. More to the point I have a passion for the old ways, teachings, techniques and philosophies" she smiled a little before adding, "We all have our hobbies"

Necto saw this and arn up to aimira easly kicking her down "show me more." He said moveing back

Aimira sharply executed a back roll straight up to her feet. As soon as her body had left the floor, she quickly flared her sabre around her body in a figure of eight, coming to rest in the aggressive scorpion stance of Soresu.
"very well, if you insist" She responded, quickly sliding her sabre repeatedly towards her oppositions chest, before wheeling it around down her side and up diagonally towards Necto's head, as her blade rose up she quickly reversed it movement bringing it back down from its fulcrum with a violent force, knocking Necto's blade away momentarily. Before she could change the course of her blade again however, Necto had restored his blade to its guard position. Aimira rapidly changed her course of attack, and dragged her blade across Necto’s body to her left before bringing it back across spinning right around to clash her sabre with his once more, all the while slowly advancing forward.

"hmmm veryvery impressive.... You pass:" Necto said

"By your command" Aimira bowed in respect keeping her eyes locked forward never the less, resetting her sabre to its initial setting, before replacing it on her utility belt.

"I learnt the full value of 'holding down the pillow' sir. It like many things in combat, can not be fully appreciated, until put into practise sir" Aimira very simply responded

"Why? Is there a deep and profound reason? I was taken in by the Jedi when I was three. Had I been taken in by the Sith then I can honestly say I would be a Sith. At such a young age you are malleable, easily bent to the wills of others. As such I was brought up upon the value and beliefs of the Jedi. That is why I became a Jedi. Why am I still a Jedi, now that perhaps is the more important question.
I have walked a less light path than that of which I walk now. That is not to say I have ever walked on the dark side either.
I take the light side now because in anger, in hate, there is nothing they are empty, meaningless. They consume themselves and in the end achieve nothing. now the light side, to help other, to protect others. In that you can forge a legacy, forge something that will last lifetimes, something worth creating.
My self imposed exile taught me something: life is only as good as the people in it, the way they react you, the way they treat you. And that is influenced by the way you treat them. If you take from them, harm them and only act for the self, they reciprocate. However if you treat them well, respect them, then again they reciprocate these actions. It makes life worth living that little bit more. That is why today I choose to walk the path I do" Aimira responded.
