Anubis Recovery

((Rules: normal rules+ unlimited posts per day, OOC should be either in cyan or in the discussion.))

Darth Anubis. Where to start? There aren't many places to start, really. An obscure Sith who spent his life killing Jedi and stealing their holocrons. Part of a "recovery program".... meaning that he took Sith holocrons from Jedi with extreme force. However, thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin, his collections of holocrons were lost to civilization, placed in his legendary underground tomb and temple.

Some of his items were left in other areas of the galaxy, however, giving clues to Jedi and Sith to the whereabouts of his collection. The Jedi recovered a holocron/biography of the Sith, hinting them to the locations of other clues which brought them to where they are today.

The body of Anubis, combined with several recently recovered items gave the Sith the map to the tomb as well.

Now, the year is 12 B.B.Y., the dark reign of the Empire. The Jedi hide out, avoiding the inevitable Imperial persecution of them. The Sith face a similiar fate, the actual order not including the Empire waning, almost fading from existance. The holocrons offer a way out, a propoganda tool for either order's use. It could save them from extinction.

For years the Sith probed the planet of Kroprulu, trying for the exact location of the tomb. The small group of Jedi now clinging to life and resisting the Empire organize themselves, heading to Kroprulu for the ultimate prize; salvation. Only one can take the prize, head to life. Only one can take the holocrons as trophies to save their order....

Sith Archealogical Camp, Kroprulan Desert. 12 B.B.Y.

"In yet?" one Sith inquired.

"There, we've got room to get ourselves in," replied the archeologist. "Sturdy tunnel,  it shouldn't cave in on you. You go in, and we'll hold the camp here."

"Good, some scouts report a ship heading for our location," the commanding Sith lectured. "In a short while, a transport can land here. The nation is not identified. It's a personally owned ship. It's not Sith, so when something walks out of it, take it down."

After the somewhat-inspiring speech, the Sith crawled into the tunnels, eventually able to stand. After a narrow hallway, the tunnels were so wide. so holocron=filled, and sobright enough to be normal halls of the Sith library. That was when it hit them; they weren't in an old decrepit tomb. This was a Sith library.

The Jedi ship hovered above the planet, releasing a stream of loud bangs as it clattered and landed against the rocky surface. At that moment a turret aimed at the ship, releasing some light sunfire. It was immediately silenced by stolen cannons aboard the ship.

The stairs to the ship unfolded, the Jedi walking down them cautiously. In a short while they would be bringing the holocrons back to the ship and leave the cursed planet, Kroprulu.

Jedi Master Kros Lyan, a senior member of the Bakuran Order, looked around curiously at the beautiful valley into which they'd landed, upon a rocky outcrop overlooking a magnificant waterfall. It was his first trip to Kroprulu - though that didn't mean much, many wouldn't visit the Sith throne world in their lifetime - and he was amazed that the Sith, such vile and vicious creatures, lived amongst such beauty.

Weeks before, they had received word of Anubis' body and holocrons being located on this world, and they had agreed an effort needed to be made to rescue them from the clutches of the Sith, or untold dark secrets of the past would resurface, and tip the never-ending struggle once more in the favour of the Sith - not that a Galaxy ruled by a Sith hadn't tipped it enough already.

Whilst a senior member of the Order, Kros had always been on the outer echelons of Council workings, and it was a source of bemusement for him that they had sent him on this mission with very little information as to what was to come. He shrugged, it was of no consequence, what was to come, would come, and he would deal with it as the situation arose.

The tunnels weaved in and out of the ground, giving the Sith a few brief moments of breath before plunging them back into the humid tunnels. Mortalis brushed shrubs and plants aside as he moved through the tunnels. Finally, the Sith came to a crossroads. They would have to split up. Without a word, the Sith filed into the various tunnels and entered the dark wilderness. Little did they know ((I did, in fact, have to use that line)), however, that the Jedi were only steps behind them.
