Allegiance

Just picked it up today, and it looks pretty good. A chapter in, and it's pretty good. I'm prefering Zahn's portrayal of the stormies to Karen's of the RCs to be honest...

I liked it, it showed an interesting side of Mara Jade and how twisted truth can become Very Happy

This is currently next on my list after I finish catching up on Legacy and read Outbound Flight.

So, I'll probably have it read sometime in 2010  Wink

Heh, how long's it taking you to get through a book of Legacy?
Ga'nen

I want to pick up these new books but I find myself reading the New Jedi Order series. I'm not finishing them as fast as i thought I would but I am finishing them faster than I normally would any other book. Smile

Is this book in a hardcover?
Rive Caedo

I tend to go on reading spurts. I'll have a weekend that I don't have any work to get done - I'll read a few pages on a whim and then, before I know it, it's Sunday night and I've read 3 or 4 books  Razz

Then I'll go for 3 or 4 months that I'll *try* to finish a book, but I keep taking too long to read the next chapter, forget where I am, and end up rereading a chapter I've already read weeks ago. That's what I'm currently doing with Fury  Smile

Also, Ga'nen, it was a hardcover, but I saw the paperback version on shelves a month or two ago.

Finished it a few days ago, and enjoyed it imenssly - a definite for anyone who hasn't read it.

The book is very plot-heavy which I enjoyed - a change from LOTF which is more action-heavy. I liked all the twists and turns in it, even if I did sometimes get a bit confused by it.

I like this direction Zahn's taken - this being his first book without even a mention of Thrawn (There were scenes with Palpatine where a mention wouldn't have been a stretch), which I applaud him on - and hope that there will be more of this to come in the future.

9/10.

I would rate it a 8/10, for me it wasn't long enough. It was a good story, but not quite good enough. Battlefield Earth is what I'd call a great book. It's Sci-Fi, 1000 pages, small print, and it deals with both politcal and military matters. Not to mention manipulation Very Happy

That's fine Butler... that's just fine... Battlefield Earth was a good book (I read it many years ago).

However, if you pick up Dianetics - I'm sending a search and rescue party after you  Very Happy
