Barbados grabed the new glass of ale and threw it back. There was a slight burn as in ran down his throught. He looked at the glass. A little ale was still at the bottom. "Bar keep." He signaled the barkeeper. The Rodian walked down to meet Barbados.
"You're lucky I'm your friend or I'd kick ya out." He poured the last of the bottle into the glass and then looked up "Are you by chance leaving soon?" Barbados laughed.
"Leave? Why? There's food, drinks, and music. What more could I want?" The Rodian shook his head and then attended to some other customers. The Cantina was emptying, it was open twentyfour hours a day. That's why Barbados liked the place.
He starred at the new glass. The place had a nice attmosphere. It was heated, a local band was playing a slow tune, patrons sat at tables sharing war stories. There was a lot of talk about a big war coming up. He looked back at the drink.
"Cheers." He chugged the glass down and layed back in the chair. If there's one thing you can't get enough of it's good friends he thought. The world swirled around him. Memories of better times creeped into his mind. He decided he would rather replay those times than watch the real world.
