Two New Novellas

Since my ideas for a Shadow in the Force went out the bloody window, I've started on two new ideas. I like to write long stories, so it may take awhile until either of these see the light of day.

Number 1 (which I've already started and posted about on my blog) is about the last member of the Skywalker family and his struggles to piece together the Galaxy in a dystopian future. He's fighting for freedom against the oppressive Galactic Union and the Forge species while learning the ways of the Jedi. I already have a plot for this one and I've begun work. My first big one. Wish me luck.

Number 2 is the story of a Jedi who survived Order 66 and works to restore the Jedi Order by finding other survivors. I plan to have this one really bridge the two trilogies together through his eyes. I'd also expect Starkiller to make an appearance. Something to look out for.

My double-post is justified. It's been 3 days.

I've decided to focus my attention more on the second storyline. My idea is to have 3 points of view all come together during the Civil War. They are...

1) A rebel soldier. This storyline will focus more on being away from home and the horrors of the war.

2) A Jedi looking for other Order 66 survivors. This will focus on his feelings of loneliness and desperation.

3) An apprentice to a ruthless non-Imperical Sith Lord. As the story progresses, his allegiance to his master gets shaken and his beliefs are challenged.

I decided to make this fanfic first on my agenda because unlike the first idea, I won't need to create an entirely new "world", just new points of view. I ask that any comments or suggestions be posted. C'mon, free addition to your post count. Wink

Number 2 mainly. Make that a seperate one that has characters intertwining but not all the time.

That's the idea. I watched Transformers and liked how they turned three stories into one. The Sith, the Jedi, and the Rebel.

Another justifiable double-post.

I'm going to start writing my second story soon. I plan to have it take place around 14 BBY. A few basic plot details.

The Rebel storyline will have a WWII-esque feel to it. The main character (we'll call him "Jack" for now) isn't part of the Rebel Alliance that we all know and love. Jack is a Corporal in the Berusa Liberation Front. The Front uses more head-on tactics opposed to the Alliance's guerilla warfare. We'll follow Jack through the bloodiest days of the war.

A little more about Berusa. The planet was never officially part of the Republic. When the Empire took power, Tarkin was assigned with taking control of Berusa do to its valuable mineral resources. Berusa is made up of two mainlands connected by several chains of islands. The Empire takes over one mainland. The "rebels" take over the other. A lot of the fighting happens on the islands. A daring operation could soon change that.

The details for the Sith storyline are sketchy. It will likely take place over a few years. I can't give much away without spoiling it for you. The main focus here is on an apprentice (for now, he's Mutt) to a secretive Sith Lord (Dog). Dog is for some reason (unknown to anyone) obsessed with the destruction of Palpatine and the Empire. Mutt is sent to do his bidding on various worlds. Whether it be assassination, massacre, you name it. You see him start to question what he's really fighting for and how that affects his relationship with his master.

The Jedi storyline is also a work in progress. The Jedi has been searching for other Jedi who survived Order 66. In his travels, he learns more about the mysterious Sith Lord and his plot. He tries to uncover the secrets about what drives this man.

Expect appearances by Starkiller and N-K Necrosis (he's too cool not to have a history), but probably not Vader. We'll save him for later. Wink

Due to lack of sufficient storyline, I am going to start work on the first story instead of the other one. I've made a few changes to the basic plot of it as well.

1) It will be set in a different timeframe. Rather than after the fall of Krayt's Empire, it will be after the fall of Palpatine's Empire in an alternate timeline. Thrawn wins and the main characters (much like Rebels' storyline) are all killed. Thrawn forms an alliance with the Galactic Union before he is ultimately betrayed and killed.

2) The main character will not be a Skywalker. He will be a Jedi.

If you want to fit it into our timeline it seems like it could fit pretty well. I was going to write a FF detailing the split from the real time line - i.e Thrawn invades Coruscant, deaths of main characters, infighting with Palpatine's return, Thrawn, Palps' clone and others all dying, and the splintering of the Empire after the Sith Empire based on Kroprulu (TDSL) begins seiging worlds in the Outer Rim. If you want that as back story or as part of your story your welcome to it, I'd be happy not writing it.

My storyline differs in a few ways.

1. Thrawn wins
2. Thrawn forms alliance with Galactic Union (led by the Forge species)
3. Union betrays Thrawn 20 years later
4. Tartarus (Forge leader) begins extermination of Force sensitives
5. Full-scale war ensues between...

...Galactic Union
...Thrawn Loyalists
...GFFA (newly-formed)
...Resistance
...Hutts (protecting their territories)

The story will follow a soldier in the Resistance and take place around 20 ABY.
