Oh my, these have been dark months for me. The only two shows on TV I feel are worth watching (okay, I lie - since I also watch Heroes and Battlestar, but those are only only on a few weeks a year ) had fallen into the abyss of reruns (which are rather pointless since the shows are based on the day's headlines).
But now, this is going to be interesting. I've just learned they're coming back this Monday... without writers. Or at least without their writers who went on strike - it's unclear if they had any writers who aren't participating in the strike.
I've heard a rumor that they're going to use the opportunity to make a point about the modern news media and simply report on the news without comedy, but also without glossing over the real stories and diverting attention to celebrity news like the real news media. Personally, I'd find it fascinating. But I doubt it's true. They'll probably just do their best on their own and whatever few writers they have not participating in the strike.
Either way, yay! My fake news (which is, disappointingly, usually more informative and interesting than the real news - without even trying) is back!
