I actually didn't expect such an immediate and positive response to this. Very nice to see.
4 players (I said 3 originally, but Vexen's posted while I've been writing this rather long post) and a game master is a good number. This can go forward now.
I'll go as high as 7 or 8 players though if it turns out more people are interested.
Any more than that and things turn into complete chaos when you're dealing with numbers.

Well like I said, I haven't really done this at all offline. Most of my knowledge comes from video games with D&D like systems. But here's a basic rundown.
You still want to write your posts out in detail - as in a usual roleplay. Characters and plot matter. However, you're a bit more limited since you can't describe rooms until I tell you what's in them and you can't describe the effects of your own actions until I tell you what those effects were.
Also, what actions you can make are determined by your character's skills (although some actions will be universal, of course - like moving from room to room).
Every skill will have a dice roll associated with it. You can make those rolls and email them to me via the online tool I linked. Your character will also have skills that affect those rolls.
I'll check the email account I've made for the game. I'll verify the rolls and post the results.
In other words, it's half story and half game.
Here's a sample situation that might make things more clear (I'm not using Kallibann here though or peoples real characters - just a random adventure in a pirate hideout):
| Dungeonmaster Rive wrote: | Korus, Sirak, Jiub, and Skod - you all successfully enter the room to your north.
It's a pitch black. You can't see very well. |
| Jiub wrote: | | "Blast it, my glow rod burnt out awhile back. Would you provide us with a bit of light, Xander?" |
| Korus wrote: | | "Not a problem." Xander says as he activates his lightsaber - casting light on the room. |
| Rive Caedo wrote: | Xander's blade casts a green glow upon the room. It's still dim (-1 to all action rolls) but you're able to make things out.
The room is carved out of sandstone, like the previous one. However, unlike the previous room, there's a large Nexu sleeping in the corner on top of some stained brown sheets. It stirs and then awakens when it hears the snap-hiss of the lightsaber activating!
Name: Pirate Nexu
HP: 22/22
Will: 50/50
Interventions: 0
Conditions: Sleepy (due to just waking up - the Nexu has -1 to its defense saves. This only lasts for this turn)
Vigor: 5 (requires a score of 10 to deal status effects)
Agility: 7 (requires a score of 14 to hit)
Cleverness: 3 |
| Korus wrote: | Name: Xander Vos
HP: 18/25
Will: 20/40
Interventions: 2
Conditions:
"These pirates seem to keep interesting pets!" Korus shouts as the Nexu awakes.
"It's possible it's domesticated," Korus thinks to himself, "but I can't take any chances."
Action: Force Push on Nexu.
Will cost: 3
Action roll: d20
Damage roll: d6 +2 ("Force Strong" trait) |
| Sirak wrote: | Name: Sirak Sazen
HP: 10/15
Will: 43/80
Interventions: 1
Conditions:
"Too bad they're going to have to get a new one." Sirak says full of confidence as he draws his blaster.
Action: Rapid fire on Pirate Nexu (3 separate rolls for each shot)
Will cost: 5
Action roll: d20 + 4 ("Sharpshooter" trait) + 1 ("Jack of All Trades" trait)
Damage roll: d3 |
| Jiub wrote: | Name: Jiub
HP: 2/30
Will: 30/50
Interventions: 0
Conditions:
"I'll do what I can." Jiub musters - still bleeding profusely.
He limps away from the fight - hoping the Nexu won't realize he's injured and tries to see if the pirates have placed any traps in the room which could surprise his allies.
Action: Trap check
Will cost: 2
Action roll: d12 |
At this point, no one else can do anything until I post the results of their actions.

The Nexu is now fully awake. He nimbly dodges a powerful Force Push issued by Xander, but is hit by two of the three blaster rounds fired by Sirak.
In response, he pounces at Sazen!
The badly injured Jiub searches the room for pirate traps - but is having too much trouble seeing in the dim, flickering lightsaber light and through his headache caused by blood loss.
Action: Attack Sirak Sazen
Attack Roll: d20
Damage roll: d8 |
Any questions? That's a basic rundown and I may have forgotten something.
You're basically responsible for keeping track of your own character's status (HP and such), skills (which dice to roll) and traits (how they affect those rolls). You need to know that stuff so you can make the rolls and email them to me. But I'm responsible for doing the math. _________________
